We received our order, but unfortunately, it came damaged during shipping. OM's Rep, Lyn was on top of the problem and arrived at a solution immediately. Our replacement piece arrived MUCH BETTER packaged, preemptive any possible abuse from the carrier. The packaging was so well done that UPS could have played free throw with it and the piece inside would still be fine.

There are other places to buy raw materials. Cheaper places. But the customer service of onlinemetals can't be beat. My order had some shipping difficulties and it wasn't going to be delivered on time. Customer service immediately fixed it and sent replacement material overnight. Top notch service and a reputable company. 10/10 I'll definitely be back to order more.

Shipments previously arrived at my location very quickly from when I placed the order (typically one day). Since you have opened your Portland location, delivery has slowed.

I needed aluminum angle iron to fabricate rod holders fir my boat. I had no luck finding the size I needed locally so I ordered from Online Metals. It was very easy to look up what I needed and the price was very reasonable. I received my order quickly and was exactly what I ordered and was quality material. Ordered stainless steel protobox and was very happy with the contents. I'm a hobbyist rig welder and have received very nice odds and ends. The materials give me a lot to work with.
The best part is I live in Portland OR and can pick up the materials without shipping costs.

Service and delivery of materials is outstanding! I place an order Sunday afternoon, and when I went to make modifications to the order (which were pleasantly accepted) Monday at start of business, some of my order was already being shipped! Very pleased. One thing that I found disappointing is that all of my stainless 304 1 1/2" square tubes had yellow paint on them in a dithered spray extending 8-10" from the ends! I was hoping to use the steel as-is in a project, but now have to find a way of removing the paint and finishing esthetically. It may be industrial steel, but I don't think should have to remove paint to use it.
I placed a small order as I make brass guitar nuts and bridges.
I ordered 3 pieces of angle brass, the longest one was 12".
The Good: Website easy to navigate, excellent service, many selections to choose from, fast shipment.
Prices I though were excellent.
The Bad: Shipping charges are prohibitive. Due to the high shipping charges, I won't be able to order from OnLine Metals again.
Also the 3 pieces I ordered were shipped from two different locations in two separate packages increasing the cost. I can understand a reason for that, but at the same time the fees are much too high for a small order customer.
