Been using online metals for a few years - great way to get custom-cut metal delivered right to your door for a good price. They've always gotten my orders right, and shipping costs are surprisingly decent. I have had the website do a few screwy things like calculate extended prices wrong, so check your totals carefully.

I had ordered material that I intended to pick up at the Grand Prairie warehouse. You informed me the next day that this material was out of stock at that location and then the next day or so you informed me that you would ship the item to me at no additional cost if I agreed to that. Yes. Great. I responded that that would be agreeable with me. Wonderful customer service!
Right there I would have given you 5 stars.
But while the order was shipped and on it's way you sent me several emails that said "since I had not responded to your email", which I had, "the order will now be cancelled "
Several emails later, you clarified that the order is still enroute to me.
Then on Saturday, when UPS was supposed to deliver the order, you sent me an email with a link to verify that I had received the order.
UPS had in fact not delivered my order by Saturday but the only option you gave me in that email was the link to verify that I had received the order.
Maybe there should be another link: "Not received yet"

Ordered a small amount of metal for prototyping a new product. UPS (not OnlineMetals) bungled the handling. I let support know and they had a new bar shipped to my door (in UPS proof packaging) in a couple of days. UPS is my go-to metal stock supplier for both my (small) personal projects and my (much larger) professional needs. They have great service, decent prices, and an amazing website.

I ordered 12 feet of 2" DOM steel tube and picked it up in 2 hours at will call. When I arrived I was welcomed by two different employees and told someone would be right with me. A gentlemen who was busy moving material stopped what he was doing and came to help me. He asked for my name and order number and just like that I was on my way. Incredible service in a world where customer service doesn't mean very much. I appreciate it and will be purchasing all metal through OnlineMetals.com for now on!
