Onetravel's site is very user friendly; especially when booking multi-flight destinations. I'm hooked on this website. I use it everytime I book - great deals, and great service.

February 1, 2012

ONE-TRAVEL. Recuperated my money from a double booking I made. They really supprted me in everything and evan called me home and UA's supervisor. I finally had the money reimbursed to my accvount. Then they gave me a credit of $50, plus $100 on Am Express...

My experience with OneTravel.com was painless. I was able to locate my flights quickly and make my purchase with no issues at all. I have booked 3 sets of flights already through OneTravel.com since October 2011. It's Great!

This website will go to great lengths to rip you off. I have lost almost 1200 dollars in an attempt to purchase tickets from them. It was an international flight to Ukraine. After taking our funds they informed us that one airline didn't accept e-tickets and would issue paper tickets which would cost more. I tried calling their published trouble line which never did take my call after one and a half hours. I checked with my CC company and the funds had been withdrawn. Than another email telling me the "new tickets" would be 1199 dollars and the funds MAY, (emphasis mine) be withdrawn in two billings. I immediately called my CC company alerting them that One Travel was attempting to double bill me for tickets. Somewhere amongst all this confusion they said the tickets had been confirmed and "shipped" and Fed ex would be delivering them in two days and a tracking number would be sent. Guess what? No tracking number and no tickets.
Just this very moment as I was writing this review, they called me in response to an earlier post on this site. They said they were sending the money. (the wrong amount). I guess I let them have it pretty hard. I told him I want every red cent refunded right now (sprinkled with a few explicative's), because the guy hung up on me. Everyone that I've talked to have foreign accents and are definitely not well versed in English. The caller asked me why I was "upset" and using "bad" language.

Back to my review: Another email arrives giving me a number to call if I haven't received the ticket(s) in a week. One week, at this point, was way past my wife's departure date and Fed-ex does NOT take a week. NEVER!. I knew I'd been scammed and I've been busy with this with my CC company, the FBI (IC3) and every credit bureau in the country. I may never get my money back, but One Travel is going to remember this one. I'm going to every legal authority to put a stop to these people. What they have done is fraud and the penalty for fraud over the Internet is upwards to twenty years imprisonment. Well deserved if convicted.

I tried to book a ticket from them, but I never received any confirmation on the booking. I have tried to get in contact with them several times the last two days on phone and e-mail, but it seems impossible to get a hold of them. Now I'm just really frustrated and don't know if I got a ticket or not. I just want to get a ticket from another company, but I can't afford to have onetravel on my back demanding money from a booking I never received any confirmation on. Do I have any legal rights here?

I booked my ticket 4 months before travel. I booked my ticket with a $100 insurance. I called 3 times before travel. 1 week, 72 hrs & 24 hrs before travel. I was told everything is perfect. On the day of travel, I am told I do not have a reservation. One travel was supposed to give me a paper ticket & they did not. & when the flight officials talked to Onetravel, they lied & told them that Onetravel had sent the ticket to me. Thank God, I document all my stuff well, One travel did not stand a chance. But I had to pay $100 from my pocket to get a paper ticket... Its been 5 months after my travel now, I still have not received a reimbursment check. They keep on lieing to me taht they have sent it to my address. One travel is unethical, & ILLEGAL. The company should be closed down.

I booked our spring break trip to Maui with onetravel.com I couldn't be more pleased. I am a person who really likes to do their research online before purchasing. I shopped many of the other online travel sites & the prices were the best of them all. I even got $20 off instantly on an already discounted price. The flight was exactly the same carrier & time sold on the airline's site at a lower price. Customer service was excellent & I even got a call to thank me for my purchase & to ensure I had a good flight. That is so rare to speak with a live caring human being & this pleased me because I am a consultant to businesses on how to improve their customer relations. But, obviously they won't need my help! My one regret is that I hadn't heard of them sooner. I will book with them for all my future travel needs both personal & business. I have also already referred others to the site.

I usually book through Orbitz. I saw a cheap flight on Continental and went directly to the Continental website thinking I may get it even cheaper at their website. I put in my travel dates, selected my flights, entered my credit card info and hit purchase. I got a confirmation a few moments later via email. I then forwarded this email to my friend I was going to see. She called me a few moments later to ask if I really wanted to stay a month? I said a month and looked at the confirmation. Yes, it said that the return flight was a month later? How did this happen? I went immediately back to the Continental website and went through the process again, as my info was still on the screen. I didn't pick a month later date-I didn't have the option. So, I call the number on Continentals website and it says that due to severe weather they can not answer the phone? I look at the confirmation email and noticed the number was different so I called that number. I was then routed to Onetravel.com-who were these people? After holding for 35 minutes, someone picked up the phone and said no problem, he can fix everything and he will even waive the fee. Great! He then tells me that my return flight is no longer available, but he has another one that's only 25.00 more, I say ok, he then says that although he agreed to waive the fee, it is Onetravel.com's fee he can waive, not Continentals 25.00 fee. So now I'm out 50.00? He asks for the code on my credit card. I ask to speak to his supervisor because why am I now paying an additional 50.00 for what? He tells me its no big deal, just pay the difference. I say no, I will not pay the difference and hold for another 20 minutes while he gets his supervisor. The supervisor comes on the line and assures me they had nothing to do with the date being changed and he offers to cancel the entire ticket if I want? I say don't cancel the ticket, but I will call Continental and see if they approve of how Onetravel.com handles its business. He agrees to only charge me 25.00 for the different flight and no airline fees. I say ok and hang up. I then file a complaint on Continental's website because there is no option to speak to a live person at any time. After a few days, a women calls me and claims that what I am telling her is not a real issue and could have never happened and she doesn't know who Onetravel.com is and they do not make reservations for Continental. I tell her that I am not lying, I use the internet daily, I travel often and I never went to another website other than Continental's to book this flight. She basically told me I was crazy. I then asked her to forward my complaint to someone else, she did and I got an email that said there doesn't appear to be a "technical issue" with your complaint and they considered it resolved. I am livid and filing complaints everywhere-after reading other websites, this is happening more and more and must be stopped.

I just used OneTravel for the first and last time. They cancelled my ticket for no reason without notifying me and after hours on hold they tried to charge me double to re-confirm it. Do Not Use OneTravel. It is a scam. Use a reputable company like Orbitz instead.

I tried to book an airline ticket on OneTravel.com. Booking confirmation email said to wait for the ticket email. Instead, I got an email from OneTravel, referencing a different booking number, that due to airline problems my ticket can not be booked. So far, so good - I figured, i'll try again.

Well, on the website OneTravel.com continued showing the same flights at the same cost as available for purchase, even though it has confirmed that these tickets can not be booked. Liars! Fine, I bought tickets through another agency.

Then I get a call from OneTravel, asking me to call them back about my booking. I know I don't expect any tickets from them, but they've got my credit card. After 20 minutes on hold the guy informs me that he is going to cancel my booking(?!), and refund my $10 which TravelOne charges upfront, regardless of performing any service, and apparently does not refund until the phone call.
I checked my credit card statement - there was in fact a charge for that amount, not a booking fee from TravelOne.com, but "Airline taxes feee" from an anonymous "Travel Agencies and Tour Operators". Exactly the kind of charge that's easy to overlook if one books a lot of travel. Nowhere on the TravelOne.com website was that upfront charge mentioned. It's a complete scam.

I advise to never use onetravel.com I used their site to book 6 tickets to Puerto Rico. While I was in the process of purchasing tickets, everything was fine and the site said that I was buying 6 tickets and they even asked for all 6 names and birthdays. However, once I had paid, they sent me a confirmation letter that said that I had only bought 1 ticket and it was a completely different time and price than the one I originally looked at! Thus, I immediatley called their company, but no one picked up. I called a second time, but still, i was on the line for 10 whole minutes. So I proceeded to email them about the mistake. However, I didnt get a reply until 2 days later with them saying that they refuse to refund me and that the entire thing was my mistake. I am still in the process of arguing this, but as of now I have lost $242. Again, I cannot warn enough to never use this company!

DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I had to make changes, got charged 150 to cancel, and 175 to change the ticket, but more than that, you can't change online and I"ve waited for over 2 hours on hold collectively. Agents out of the country too. DONT DO IT.

I was put onto this website from a colleague saying that they were the cheapest and bets priced for flights, I have used Expedia now for 6 years and never had an issue, This is the first time I will use One Travel and I will make sure that I blog as many websites as I can disgracing your company as the way you advertise is tricking people and the way you deal with people who have been tricked is worse by charging them a cancellation fee ($75 each total $150)
One travel does not operate with business with scruples, if you continue to operate in this way your business will not last.
Even the address I asked for to complain to was wrong, You people really can't enjoy working for a company like this its disgraceful.

I only hope that you have some compassion to refund my cancellation only 5 minutes after I booked it.
