There isn't a 0 star, otherwise would give them only that. This company is a total fraud. You will not get your chair at least for a month. When you get it, it will be broken. Talk to them to return it, and they will ask you to send photos as evidence. They take their own time in acknowledging your return merchandise. The issue is they don't seem to issue any refund though they send a PayPal screenshot that they had issued a refund. The catch is one can't dispute this transaction via the credit card company if the transaction is more than 45-60 days old. So you just lost all your money without receiving anything in return or with a product that is useless.
This company should be banned and the ownsers should be put behind bars for their fraudulent practices.

Will not honor return policy even if defective

Originally had good luck with them buying a Herman Miller chair for a home office. The second purchase, the chair arrived defective and impossible to assemble. I contacted them immediately, but got the total run around. They even suggested that I bend a metal piece of the chair myself instead of returning it. When I refused, they ignored multiple emails and calls even though their last email stated that they would send a return shipping label as soon as I forwarded a photo of the chair boxed up in its original box. I did. In fact, I sent them multiple photos at their request. No response. You cannot get worse customer support than this. I literally have a worthless chair sitting in a huge box in my garage. Never again.

We ordered 3 Aeron chairs in total.
The first one was good, Aeron size B as ordered. We kept it.

The second one was a size B again... but we had ordered a size C.
So I addressed this to customer service.
Instead of apologizing, their customer service agent was extremely rude and unfriendly. I told them that I would have expected a word of apology... instead, she wrote: "Action speak louder than words. Would like to change the chair or not? Please clarify." I had clarified in my first email already that I wanted to return the chair.

Because in the meantime, we had ordered a third chair, also size C.
Again, they delivered a size B!
I addressed this to their customer service again.
Her is their answer: "You don't want size C either so why complain about which chair we sent?"

I never said that I didn't want a size C either.
This lady was just being rude and extremely unfriendly - and I am still waiting for their return label.

So, I can only say. As long as you order and keep whatever they seem fit to send you, you're fine. If you want the items your ordered and tell them that they sent the same wrong item twice, you're being treated like garbage. It's really not easy to return these chairs. The boxes are enormous and heavy... and still... no apology.

Stay away from this company! They only give you a hard time.

Office chair at work. They are a scam

I purchase a 899.00 chair and the seat was too small and the edges hard. I ordered another chair only to find the seat was reupolstered in black. The chair is grey.
The ad I say implied they were Herman Miller. They are not.
The first chair was returned via FedEx, and no credit was issued. I emailed them (they never pick up the phone) and was told a credit was issued to my Paypal account. On inspection the credit was issued and not to pay until July 3, and that was June 26,2023. Then I get an email from Paypal saying the credit was canceled!
I have started a complaint through Paypal. Bottom line take you business elsewhere.

Ordered the leap v2 chair a couple weeks back. The quality was absolutely atrocious - wheels had built up dust and bugs inside, leather was scratched everywhere, height adjustment was not working, etc. I took pictures of what was wrong and requested a return (30 day money back guarantee as they have posted on their website). The immediate response I get is not an apology or them accepting the return, instead they insist I am not assembling the chair properly and that they will not be issuing a return for it. All of this is said in an extremely passive aggressive way. Afterwards, I request a return via PayPal, thankfully they are able to facilitate the process for me with these idiots over there at this company. Shortly after, they send me an email threatening to SWAT my house! See attached picture. "WHICH WILL RESULT IN YOUR PLACE BEING SWATED IN FRONT OF YOUR NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS, FAMILY, COWORKERS. PENALTIES MAY INCLUDE IMPRISONMENT OF UP TO 10 YEARS." This is actually unbelievable lol. And the fact they send it from "legal." So crazy lol. Also *******@aol.com… I swear this company is run by a bunch of uneducated bafoons… sad really that this company is even afloat. Anyways now I'm waiting for chair to be picked up by UPS so fingers crossed I don't get swatted… actually fearing for my life now because of this

Complete Scam...DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

This site is an absolute, 100% complete scam. My experience with this company mirrors countless other reviewers that have come before me: I paid over $900 total for a Herman Miller chair and soft-roll wheels as an add-on. Credit card was charged on 2/5, I got an email stating the order had been processed. 5-14 business days for shipping was the promise. 14 days go by, not a single word of communication from anyone. I reached out to their customer service via email. First I was told it can take up to 30 business days to process, and was given a UPS tracking number that just showed "label created" as the status. I waited 30 business days, still nothing. Reached out again. Now I'm told that due to the "global supply chain shortages" it is expected to take another 10-20 business days, and they assemble all parts and any upgrades (rollerblade wheels in my case) in-house before shipping. Oh, but for an additional $99, I can upgrade to "Quick Ship" which would ship in 2 days...after already waiting over 30! Thankfully, I did not agree to pay this, as it already smelled bad to me, and it turns out my intuition was correct.

I wait the 20 business days, STILL NOTHING! Now I'm pissed. Unfortunately it was only at this point I realized how much of a scam this site is, so shame on me I guess? I asked to cancel my order, first the person tells me my order was scheduled to ship the following week. I stated I still wished to cancel. The rep then tells me, miraculously, my order has shipped...but this time it's a FedEx tracking number, and from a completely different location. I said I still want to cancel, and they tell me that once the order ships you can no longer outright cancel an order...even though I was told MULTIPLE TIMES via email that I could cancel if I wanted, and I first requested to cancel BEFORE it shipped! Lo and behold, 2 days later, a package arrives on my doorstep. It is a chair, clearly used, packaged haphazardly with no upgraded wheels that I was both promised and PAID EXTRA FOR! And, no surprise, the customer service rep has stopped replying to me now after I called them out on all of their lies. At this point I have opened a dispute with my credit card issuer. I have no hope whatsoever that I will ever see a dime of my money back, but these scammers deserve to be punished for their business practices.

The website is a scam, their terms (if you read them) are a scam, their business address is a scam (look it up on Google Maps street view), the customer service rep's name "Evelyn Kinsley" is a scam, the random name and return address listed on the shipping label is a scam...IT'S ALL A SCAM! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, FOR THE SAKE OF ALL OF US WHO DIDN'T LEARN THIS LESSON BEFORE LOSING OUR MONEY!

In May 2020 I purchased a Humanscale Freedom Chair, Order #*******. In the last few months the plastic/fake leather on both arms has started cracking. The website claims a 12-year full warranty so I am trying to get replacement arms. I've had no luck getting customer service to respond beyond the auto-response to my emails (As in: "We will get back to you in 24 hours"). I've left voice messages on the poorly-recorded phone answering machine and heard nothing.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Product arrived in a damaged box with the chair leg sticking out. Chair didn't measure the correct size, wrong casters were sent. No directions. Returned it and the replacement was not right either. Evidence of black spray paint on the legs and on the directions. Size still wasn't right. Casters looked used. They promised a full refund. That was 60 days ago. We sent the chair back and are out $1280. Still no refund. BUYER BEWARE~

Ordered 2 matching chairs, they arrived and parts were mismatched and the fabric was damaged. Contacted them, they agreed to my return and to refund. Two months of emails with no response and no refund despite my account page stating the refund has been completed. They will find out they picked the wrong customer to screw with, it's just the beginning. Looking forward to the game.

I ordered the chair Feb 27th 2023 ( order #*******) and emailed to cancel the order soon after ( 3 days later) but since then after several emails asking about the cancellation and refund status, there is absolutely zero response from what I think appears to be almost non existent company. Took my money but no sight or response of my cancellation refund! They need to be taken to court. I really hope someone reads and works on my cancellation and refund from the so called company.

Avoid at all costs

I ordered a refurbished Knoll ReGeneration chair from this company. When it arrived one of the arms was broken off the chair. The company agreed to send a replacement arm. It too arrived broken around the screw holes. The company asked for pictures and I obliged. They tried to tell me that the crack at the screw holes is normal, clearly gaslighting. The only good part of this order was that they sent a return label for the chair. After they received the chair they did not complete the refund and I had to enter a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. Do not give this company your money

Misleading information and non-performance

No delivery of product and had to cancel my order. Still awaiting cancellation confirmation and refund confirmation.

Broken Old Chair

If you want to overpay for broken falsely advertised old chairs, this is the place!

The chair was advertised as leather. It is not leather, it is plastic. Supposed to be restored. Barely wiping something down is not restored. The casters bind, the foam is not new, and it "creaks and pops."

What they call customer service is a disaster. 12 year warranty is a joke. Not even 12 seconds. My issues could have been resolved with a phone call. My emails have my number. Nobody answers their number. I was told in one of the many curt emails from Evelyn Kinsley, Customer Care Team, that they don't do phone calls. Well that's their definition customer service - just like plastic is the same as leather.

The second chair we ordered with the fake leather chair came in with a piece snapped off. That one was sent back, lets see how long it takes for them to refund my money.

The fake leather one was assembled before I realized it was plastic, not leather. I was told to take it apart and send it back. I don't have the tools to take it apart without damaging it. I offered to keep the chair, but at a discount. I have to buy casters, and fake leather is not leather. I was again told to take the chair apart and send it back. What part of I don't have the tools to take it apart do they not understand. I am going to start charging storage. Officechairatwork lied about what they sold/shipped me, and they wont stand behind the product.

If you want rickety old used furniture go local and see what you are getting, or like the cake in the Little Rascals, buy one from these guys. If you want to get threatening emails in all caps from their "legal dept" threatening "YOUR PLACE BEING SWATED IN FRONT OF YOUR NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS, FAMILY, COWORKERS." while your dispute is being handled by Visa, buy from these guys.

I thought I was getting old stock. They bury the fact that it is restored. Caveat emptor!

They don't stand behind what they sell, and when they screw up they don't try to make it better. That's their idea of customer service. Massive fail!

Had bought the Steelcase Amia from them with the headrest based on online reviews of it being a sturdy and upright chair. Got the chair almost a month later, first red flag. What I got wouldn't sit upright and the headrest only rested my head if I was looking at the ceiling, and everything on it felt loose and janky. So I ask for a return and they were pretty responsive, even offering a discount on another as soon as they got theirs back. I politely declined and would just like a refund. I get a response back saying it'll be processed when chair arrives and then I should see the refund 7-14 days later. So I wait, never see anything else through email. Start scouring my email and see a refund transaction through PayPal, except it's PayPal telling me the refund failed and to contact vendor. Email both returns and support and get nothing but crickets for a week. So I just disputed the payment on my Amex my claim already got approved, telling me this isn't the first issue had with this merchant. Never again.

Scam company

This 'company' is easily the worst I have ever dealt with. They send a disgusting, broken chair that has pieces falling off of it and fight you every inch of the way when you try to refund it. Then after weeks, refund you with an e-check that bounces and they run. I'm happy they lose money shipping these and complain when the customers inevitably charge back.

I wouldn't touch this place with a 20 foot pole and neither should you. If this review doesn't convince you, read the countless other 1 star reviews. This isn't a real company or a business, they're just scammers.

The chair I ordered was a Herman Miller and was hoping to get my $800 worth. But when I received it two months later, missing the event I needed it for by four weeks, it sat in the box for another two or three months until I had time to unbox it. Unfortunately, when I opened it, it was filthy. Black mold? Soot? No clue for sure but it was extremely discouraging. THEN when I was wiping it down I noticed there was a tear in the seat where the mesh attaches to the edge. It was never assembled it or sat on. Do you think they'll entertain a refund like their website touts? Very frustrating and a complete waste of hard-earned money.

It is a fraud

Just to be brief, i purchased the chair on 11/23/2022, it never shipped out.
I emailed them few times, they kept saying it will be ready in 5-14 days. But almost three months now.
Please do some research online, you will know this company is totally a scam.
Hopefully i can get my refund by disputing my credit card.
