I want to offer shipping but they claim that the wording I'm using is causing a problem. They escalated to IT and then can't figure it out. How can IT not know how to fix their own problem?

After years of advertising the product and selling I was canceled because I violated their guidelines they said cause I posted a hide rock for a getcko which I seen tons of people selling animals n pets stuff and I never had a problem until I reported a scammer and someone who threatened me to OfferUp and the next day I was blocked an account deleted, and OfferUp just says, violating selling guidances. That's all they keep saying.
When I first started with them, they had an actual number and person to reach in case of any issues.
Now all you can do is email them and get no response. Same messages, VIOLATION OF GUIDELINES with a list that doesn't tell me what I did wrong.

I had more then 40 all positive feedbacks with a lot of sale and second account is more then 128 and OfferUp bank me from selling because I try to buy a Mac laptop from someone and person let me wait for hour and never showed up then I message her to tell her to go to hell then she report me and OfferUp now won't let me post anything.OfferUp is a total unprofessional place to sale your items,u better post on Facebook marketplace at list u know the person u r meeting with.OfferUp is joke and they are really harsh

The vast majority, and I mean 90% or more of both buyers and sellers on this app are fraudulent or not real(istic). I have bought a dozen items or so on this app and have never sold 1 item on this app. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME...both dealing with insincere inquiries and no responses from my legitimate inquiries to purchase an item. I will be deleting this app. Too many ads now and the app is slow. I had a half dozen pleasant experiences purchasing, but the other half were not pleasant b/c the item/ad was not entirely accurate, nor representative of the condition an item was in the ad/listing. Terrible app. Waste of time both ways for buying and selling. The app auto shifts you back to home screen for more items to see and of course ads when you are reviewing your items or your inbox. APP IS WORTH 1 STAR ONLY There are ADS now in-between your inbox messages...Guess they get ad revenue from inadvertent clicks. ZERO!

Out of the blue I was logged out and they sent me a message that I had violated there policies when my stuff wouldn't even post and I asked why and they said they have the right to refuse service

On or about September 2,2023, I purchased a modem from the website Offerup. When the modem came, it was discovered by Comcast that it was stolen. When I reached out to Offerup, I was told that I did not dispute the claim on time and due to their policy there was nothing that could be done. I even contacted the seller and they read the message with no response. I disputed the information with the bank. Several weeks later, the charge was reversed.

In the middle of communications to buy a surf board they made me do truyou. What a cluster and all my text went ignored. Waited 40 minutes plus the drive and the other person never got my text. In the chaos I lost
The great deal. Offer up owes me 400 Dollars and two hours of my life back.

OfferUp is the most useless app on the planet. Usually when I sell something I post it on both OfferUp and craigslist. To this day I have never sold anything through OfferUp. It's always been a craigslist buyer. People on OfferUp inquire about your item and then never answer back or they will make plans to meet you and not show up. I'm pretty sure that it's a fake app with fake users.

I bought an item to be shipped to me. OfferUp says if not shipped by Seller in three days, the sale is cancelled. Not true. After six days, item was not shipped, OfferUp did not cancel the order, and OfferUp did not reimburse my bank account for the charge. Never again will I buy something onOfferup that includes shipping.

I won't be using this app anymore to look for work as almost every job (everyone I wanted), had a bogus link that sends me to a site that wants to spam the **** out of me but no job application opportunities or options. Just spam and crap and nothingness + frustration. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE- negative stars

Highly recommend everyone to keep away from this market place! There extremely poor policy will put you in the corner not knowing what to do but eat sh**,, I've purchased a gold coin through there site paying top dollar of almost $1,800,, when I got it I took it to professional coin shop to find out it is FAKE COIN! It is a copper coin gold plated! Immediately contacted them to stop the payment to the scammer seller & report him,, unfortunately because of there 2 days STUPID POLICY has passed by few hours they turned my claim down! Now I'm stuck with a counterfeit coin worth $2 & it cost me $1,800,, be aware of the seller he has posted multiple other coins & gold bars as.9999 gold but ALL are counterfeit! Keep away from this application! I will give them not only 5 thumbs down but definitely 7 thumbs down

Over the last month I have tried to purchase some camera equipment. 100 percent of the sellers I contacted were scammers. The tell you OfferUp won't let them accept your offer, they won't ship with offerup, they try and get you to text them, they want your phone number, they say there from a specific city and there not. It is way to easy to get scammed offerup and offerup does very little to vet the sellers. Make sure you have the seller take a picture of the item with your name on a piece of paper next to the item at least then you know the item exits. The only safe way to buy from offerup is in person. Good luck!

I was charged for one year membership on an account that I never set up and customer service was rude and not helpful. They admitted it was for an account that I didnt have and refused ro refund me any money even though I will not be staying for a year. DO NOT USE THIS ACCOUNT!

Twice ask seller provide more pictures include authentic marking not response from seller.already paid costumer service not exist...in they...offer up policy cited 3 day shipping frame.when not shipped you will be refunded...so far is 4 days later.seller not responding my requests.

And costumer services is this time fantasy.saturday 10.50 pm.
Another rip off...charge already made...will try my luck tmrw...best recomendation.offer up need working more to

These morons ban your account for no reason wtih no explanation and they dont even tell you you're banned, you just get shadow banned and nobody can interact with you. Somebody should sue this site.

I purchased some bakeware pieces that were mailed to me. They arrived broken. The seller felt the fault lay with the post office, but I wanted a refund. OfferUp claims they have a buyer guarantee if you contact them within four days of receiving an item you are dissatisfied with. I contacted them numerous times by email and received no response. Then I called. The recording says calls to that number are not monitored. I finally filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. BBB reached out to them numerous times, and never received a response. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. Terrible platform with no integrity as a business. I will never buy anything off that site platform again.

I've bought and sold a few things on here. But honestly, most of the time, my stuff just sits on the shelf. Even after creating a good description, great pictures, and continuously lowering the price. I get hardly any traffic, but that's not my main problem here. My main problem is that I got scammed. Some guy named Tanner sold me an xbox. He said it worked like new. When I got it home, though, it didn't turn on. He texted me some stuff he has to do to get it to turn on... that's definitely not "like new." I asked him to take it back, and it's been three days now. Offer up won't help cas they don't cover I. Person cash trades so I feel $#*!ed. I could take it to small claims court, but what if I lose and have to pay this POS even more of my money, cas the system is so flawed.
