The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

Offerup: Do not trust on ad tag in this app it's all scam. I got cheated in two ad's one FLEXASI and ebay all fake. They don't send confirmation email or order number. Be careful! Offerup is for PICKUP Stuff. There's no way communication with or customer service to complain.
I sold an item and was paid with counterfeit money, I tried to reach out to OfferUp to see if there was anyway they can help me with this and there was no contact number. OfferUp is no help
Tried to buy a BBQ on OfferUp. Seller sent item quickly but had postage due that was 3x what was quoted. Seller claims that OfferUp error. Refused delivery and waiting for refund. Not ETA on refund, at the mercy of the USPS to send item back, have seller receive item, then issue refund. Avoid at all costs. For items that need delivery, stick with Amazon.
Went to purchase an item and I thought he price was great. Some things are just to good to be true. My offer was accepted. And the seller was supposed to ship the item. It's been 5 days and the item was never shipped. I emailed customer service multiple times with poor service response. The site said I would be reimbursed if the item isn't shipped in 3 days. Well! The customer service agent told me they give them another 3 day grace period. (BS). So my money is stuck in limbo. The bank told me the seller tried to pull the money from his bank without shipping the item first. But the money was posted as pending. Like I said. Scammers, Scumbags and thieves sell here. Buyer beware. Very shady site. And customer service is slow to respond and they suck..
Called customer service to advise of a fraud issue and was sent to a vacation hotline for Thailand. Enough said?
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MOVE OFFSHORE!
Do not rely on OfferUp for selling your stuff! They make you lose access to your account once you're out of the U.S. Unfortunately, I counted on them before moving but they have disappointed me. We have to go back on Craigslist!
What was letgo thinking, why did they join with OFFERUP? OfferUp listings are old, some are 4+ years old! Clean up your data. When an item gets sold it still displays on your board, why not remove it and send a notification like LETgo did. Instead, OfferUp's feed is filled with duplicates, sold, and old listings. How about you display the price on the feed view rather than making the user go in to the listing? Total waste of time and you can't even scroll to the next listing until you go back to the feed.
I have sold and purchased from letgo for a long while. I loved this app. Unfortunately OfferUp is not even close I am now bringing my things to goodwill. Please bring letgo back
Cant browse ads for more than 5 seconds without seeing blatent scam adds. Got tired of reporting them too, useless.
Ultimately this review can only reflect the dozens of interactions of sellers being that offerup acts as a buyer seller portal.
Unfortunately offerup includes some extremely unreliable people. They change prices, sell items out from under you, run actual scams and offerup does little to moderate. Buying something on offerup is a challenge. You're better off going through an actual store because at least there are protections there. Offerup lets your local crack dealer sell off it. Goodness.
Sold an item on this site around August 17 2020. They provided me with the USPS shipping label in which I printed out and affixed to the box. Had USPS pick up the package in which I have a confirmation from post office it was picked up but for some reason the item was never delivered to the buyer. Finally received a tracking number from Offerup (#**************########) and no tracking available. Filed several compliments with the Post office and went to my local Post office to try to figure out what happened. Was told the package was last scan in Massachusett. Emailed the buyer and was told he lives in Wyoming and so have been emailing OFFER UP fo days to please verify the address (Offer Up Support Request: *******) and have been ignored by them. Im trying o file a claim with the post office and they require the address of where the package is supposed to go to and OfferUp will not respond back to my emails because they know they screwed up. I used their USPS label with the buyers address so I assumed that this address was correct since they were supplying me the shipping label and so this is not my fault and they have been no help in trying to assist me with this. So now I am out of payment from buyer and the items lost in the mail.
I previously had the app called letgo which was my favorite app to sell my stuff, Now that OfferUp has taken over this entire website it's no longer interesting to me.
It's hard to find things only in my area bc things from other states will pop up that I don't want, and when I actually do like items and I message the person about it, I never get responds.
I honestly just want letgo back, and if that's not possible, at least make OfferUp how letgo was... bc if nothing gets changed about this app, I Will BE DELETING IT!
Sorry, not sorry...
We should all inspire people to stop using this horrible app. It really deserves no stars. Letgo was a awesome app. The proof is most people gives OfferUp a one-star. You have to ask yourself why is that. Don't waste your time go anywhere else to sell your items. And I mean anywhere else is better in my opinion.
Cant use my computet to sale or buy. Why Offer up think people use phone only? We never nad problem with Let go befor. Was easy do anyting with computer without phone!
Cant use naw
Purchased a men's wallet on their platform through shipping method. When i got the wallet, immediately i know its counterfeit. I reported to offerup about it and a auto message tell me a offerup team member will get back to me. I waited and waited with no reply. I contacted them again and they finally reply back. I ask them about my claim i filed two weeks again and to my surprise they said i didn't filed a claim properly. What a shock! After few message exchange they said they can't do any about it. Guys, please stay away from buying through shipping because offerup is on the seller side because that's how they get a commission from the items they sell.
Stay away from this scam seller (picture).
You need to pick it up since going with you went from people contacts to NOTHING. So now I have to waste my time for a 100 characters,.
THANKS
The site doesn't work... I message people to purchase something and never a reply, I tried everything offer up said to fix it but nothing worked. Let go always worked but now that they joined up with offer up, they suck now as well... fix your garbage app!
Offer up will never be like Let go! Why buy a app. Join it and still have your site the worst place to shop. Stupid business move I hope yous loose all your product... meaning people who use it!
I hate Offerup. Unfortunately, when I have items to sell, they usually sell quicker on this app than anywhere else so I have to use it. I haven't experienced any major problems selling except for the ridiculous offers which I politely decline. I have had MAJOR problems buying however so I will no longer be buying anything on the app. Sellers I have encountered lately are so rude. They either won't respond or act annoyed if you ask questions because they've only provided one picture and one sentence. I'll stick to established retail stores even if it costs more. Customer service is so much better.
I have been an active user on offerup since July of 2018. I have 535 reviews on its site. Yes there are people who "flake", but if you know how to post your item in a way that communicates your parameters well it makes things a lot easier. For myself I always include the city and cross streets in my post so that people can determine if it's too far for them or not. I think a lot of times people get excited because they see something they really like and jump on it so that they don't loose out on the chance to get it. Then once they realize it's too far for them to make the effort they just flake. I also include "first come first serve" and "no holds" in all my posts so that people understand that I'm only interested in serious buyers who are willing and able to pick up ASAP. It does help that I work from home, this app is definitely better used by people who are home most of the time and can set up times for people to pick up right away. I also make sure that all the most asked questions are in the post to weed out most of the annoying questions that the majority of people ask, like the height, length and depth of items like furniture. I specifically say if there is or isn't anything wrong with an item. The more detail you can add to your post the less questions you will get. I never give out my address until someone is actually on there way to drive to my house for pick up, this keeps me from feeling any kind of anxiety about having given out my address to people who just end up flaking. I kindly tell people who ask for my address before even setting up a time to meet(because they are trying to determine how far you are from them) hat he city and cross streets are in the post if they want to see how far I am from them and to send me a message when they are ready to drive to my house and that I will send them the address at that time, I always include a at the end of this sentence and at the end of all sentences that might could be misunderstood as rude or as me not giving them what they are asking for. This helps them to understand that your not being unkind your just communicating your boundaries. Once I learned how to do all here things it's been smooth sailing. Yes your still going to get people who ask a million questions, and who flake but if you are always kind to people and are the kind of person who can be patient with people it's a great way to get rid of your unwanted items quickly or resell things to make some extra cash. I have figured out how to use this app to make all my money at this point and enjoy it a lot. Another tip I have is to refer to the person as friend, people react to me calling them friend in a very positive way in messaging and helps interaction a lot smoother. Hopefully this will help some of you out. God bless my friends
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
