I have been donating for a couple years at CSL and Continental. But I never had any issues like I do at octapharmaplasma. Today I was doing my donation but something was not right and my arm bubbled up and they had to take the needle out and rap it in ice. That is the second time this happened there. It never happened any of the other plasma donation center. Then they tried the other arm andI don't usually use that arm they had trouble finding the vain. They told me let them know if I had any discomfort or pain. Well my arm really started to hurt I told them I was in pain the women who the sent over was so rude she told me she could readjust the needle or if I stop I will get a 56 day defarrel, I said I don't care in in pain take it out. She tries too tell me I will get a defarrel, not paying any attention to the fact that im in pain. I never ever had to stop a donation or had a staff member be so rude. I just wanted to leave I couldn't be around that very unsenceative, un caring rude woman. Then she tries to get me to sit and drink Gatorade I just wanted to get a way from her because it was obvious she didn't care that I was in pain. So she tells me if I don't drink the Gatorade she give me a permmnit defarrel. I was thier 2 hours, got stuck in both arms, and my other arm is hurting bad. So I in pain but let's give him a defarrel because we screwed up. Also let not pay him because we couldn't do are job right, yes 2 hour bandages and ice packs and a arm that still hurts and that all you get, it it just shows that you don't care. So I guess I will have to post this as many places as possible because octapharmaplasma won't do any thing about this, they don't care.
I love this place! Its a consistent form of income besides my job, me and my husband go twice a week. We have gotten to know the staff here, and really enjoy the little perks they have for us!
Times and things have changed. Sometimes you run into a bind.My family and I often use the funds to make it through the week or even to pay a bill. Try it out.
It's ok I do it to help people... sometimes you have to wait a long time but overall it's a great place
This place is run and operated by rude and inexperienced staff. Not all but enough for me to take my time to write this. If they can find a vein. I've watched these wannabe nurses poke people 2-3 times then tell that person come back another day. Then calling on the phone is another rude waste of your time. I think (besides what Google saya) I got bacterial infections from there. Because of 1 rude b I'm now on the can't donate list. Who with her friends help of be my witness and lie for me.
Great place to put a few extra dollars in your pocket and help someone back to health I really do love the way people that work there treat you
Saving lives here helping someone while it helps you taking a couple hours of your time making a few extra bucks plus incentives is a plus if you donate 8x.
The Arlington location was a total nightmare tonight. You guys know me up there at Arlington Octapharma too but I have to tell you this is completely unacceptable. My wife and I have been donors at Octapharma for 4+ years but tonight the experience was so terrible we agreed we are never going back. Maybe there is another Plasma donation center in Jacksonville FL that doesn't treat their donors like total garbage, I mean fully abusive, it was ridiculous. For some reason tonight supervisor Kim decided she wanted to stick me with the needle, out of nowhere and she wounded my arm by pushing the needle in and out repeatedly, intentionally causing injury in my opinion. I started to tell Kim this is the most painful needle stick I've ever had at Octapharma and I look up and suddenly Malcolm the manager is leaning on the wall nearby and telling me to quiet down and 'Kim did just fine' he says to me. She did a horrible job and seemed to enjoy hurting me. It was shocking to be subjected to this mistreatment. I mean I'm showing up on my time to donate Plasma so they can be in business, right? So now I have both Kim and Malcolm telling me off while Kim repeatedly jams me with the needle. I have to tell you that Kim and Malcolm are awfully rude and unprofessional and they treated me like crap and attempted to humiliated me. I cannot imagine what would possess Kim to bother sticking me so childishly with the needle and then for both Malcolm and Kim to gang up on me when I'm a donor who needs to have confidence they are taking care but instead. Kim and Malcolm were just laughing, they thought it was just hilarious, they were personally vindictive and went out of their way to speak to me in a degrading manner after injuring me with a needle when it was clear the other Phlebotomists on staff would have done a fine job. They went out of their way to abuse me and Octapharma needs to directly review this situation. I have to tell you I'm extremely upset and I will be looking into a legal remedy immediately so this abusive behavior is stopped..
