Professional customer care
February 18, 2020

I've used nustay for the first time and I've received my booking confirmation in seconds for a last minute stay. Then I called them to request some extra details and I've received their reply within a few minutes.

Try booking a room. The price will change!
January 30, 2020

As soon as I entered my details in the checkout, a popup came up and told me the rate was no longer available. The price went up to the same price everyone else charges. Amazing that they are allowed to continue doing business.

Horrible company. Their price changed a lot and they even changed the date you chose. After I received the reservation confirmation, I realised that the date isn't the date I have chosen. Since I can not modified the reservation, I have contact the hotel directly, I'm still waiting for the hotel's decision how to deal with this situation. Please stay away from this website, they should be put in jail!

Bait & Switch - wish there was 0 star
January 11, 2020

If I could I'd put Zero. I've wirked in the travel industry for years so know pretty every example of dynamic pricing. However, I believe this company is using this as an excuse to "bait and switch" (Legal Definition of bait and switch.: a fraudulent or deceptive sales practice in which a purchaser is attracted by advertisement of a low-priced item but then is encouraged to purchase a higher-priced one.)

When I clicked to book the room on the search it came up again £93 for 2 nights room only. When I clicked for the second time on the button to "book cheapest room" it then came up with a 3rd page still showing £93 with a button "book and pay". On clicking on that button to the 4th page it then said "oh no the price has changed a bit" at 147, an increase of 54%, with the message "we always guarantee the lowest price". This to me indicated that dynamic pricing is changing but guaranteeing the lowest price at that time of booking. No where on that page did it mention something had to be "claimed back" or link to the terms and conditions. Stating "guarantee lowest price" is not the same as having a price guarantee and I think the booking page is misleading as it offered the price of £93 3 times before telling me it had gone up to 147 when I went to pay whilst telling me it always guarantee the lowest price with no reference to the very specific criteria. I searched again and got the booking for £118 inc breakfast! Avoid this company I complained about bad practice and just got further BS.

The price showed on Google and Nustay changed at the very end of booking because "it wasn't available any more".
When I retried on Nustay, the original lower price was showed again (!) but again automaticly raised at the very end of the booking.
They blame it on the partner hotel but I think you shouldn't offer prices twice you know you don't have.

False booking practices
January 4, 2020

When booking lodging for a trip to El Paso, Texas I mistakenly used Nustay!
I requested (and paid for) a King size bed in a NON SMOKING room. Upon arrival and check in we were informed the room was a "smoking" room and had 2 dbl beds. To add to the problem, the clerk advised us they had no other room available. Bad experience. Never use this company again.

Rip off! Suck you in with supposedly good prices and then pull the bait and switch. Switch the price when you book. Switch your room type to a more expensive room. Add fees when it says no fees. Total scam site. Do not use them! Or you will be sorry!

Shady Practices and a Waste of Time
September 30, 2019

This company sucks you in with displaying super low prices on hotels during your initial search. Once you click to reserve with them, the price goes up slightly (their excuse... fees and taxes), but it's not really enough to make you stop the transaction. Then you spend more time entering in personal information including a credit card for payment. You think you're almost to the finish line then... surprise! A message box pops up stating, we're sorry, but the previously offered price of $161 is no longer available and it's now $458. Really?!?!? No thanks.

To the everyone affected by the Nustay´s bait and switch unfair commercial practices (me included), you can file a small claim form
And be liable for up to a EUR 5000 compensation by filling out Regulation No. 861/2007 form on the european court website. This is what I an gonna do, as such decieving practices are unacceptable.

Do not trust this company. They are professional scam artists who are out to just rob your money.

I'd never heard of them before and took the gamble and guess what - I lost money and I didn't get the hotel reservation. Waste of time and money. So in the effort to save money, by trusting this company, I ended up paying double. STAY AWAY - I advice you please do not trust them.

Emailed them and they sometimes didn't reply for nearly two weeks. When they do reply, they just make excuses and ask you to jump through hoops for no good reason. It's really really bad customer service. They will also try to obtain copies of your ID so be careful because they do this very swiftly telling you they need to confirm your ID.

They won't give me head office or company director details. They don't have a UK phone number or head office so forget about calling them. I'm now pursuing this with The Office of Fair Trading and I have contacted my bank to dispute their charges.

Please please please stay away from this company.

Nothing but a scam, bait and switch
August 24, 2019

Pretty much running a bait and switch scam. Not reliable for planning trips as they can hike prices at any point and cancel your booking if you don't pay additional costs.

We paid for a 3-night stay in a hotel, received notification that we will receive a hotel voucher in the email within 10 minutes. We proceeded to book rest of our trip including airplane tickets, only to get email from Nustay hours later that the rate we booked was "snatched" just before we booked and that we either need to pay more for the hotel or book different hotel ("in the unfortunate case that you wouldn't be interested in proceeding with the extra payment for the original hotel").

Customer service never bothered to really resolve this issue, even after we explained that booking at higher cost would put us significantly over budget for our trip. Their last offer was a small discount if we book hotel room in a cheaper hotel at more than 3x more expensive than the original price. Even the price they said they were discounting was 210EUR more expensive than the current price publicly listed on their website.

Even a day after we were notified that our rate cannot be honored since it was "sold out" the same price remains displayed on their website. We even pointed out this to their customer support but no action was taken to prevent similar experiences.

In another case they advertise one price but when you proceed to book they hike the price because "it was just updated" but when you reload the page the old price is still advertised, so again bait and switch. Look and book at Expedia, Booking, Agoda or Hotels. Do not book at Nustay, they will only make you miserable and ruin your vacation plans.

Booked a room on the site and was contacted shortly after that they were unable to confirm the reservation at the original price but could confirm it for a HIGHER rate if paid ASAP. Do not trust this company. My guess is they place arbitrary prices on their site to get you hooked onto a room, charge it, and then tell you that a real booking will cost X more. The total comes out to the same price if not higher as other sites offer, they just bait and switch you at Nustay. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
