I ordered a Milwaukee item online on 8/1/2023 to be picked up in store. Northern tool charged my card, then sent me an email an hour and a half later stating they cannot sell this item. I called customer service to ask for a refund. They put me on a 10 minute hold, came back on and said they would have to convert my money paid for it into a gift card! I argued and got nowhere. I want to buy this item elsewhere, but I will be stuck with a gift card to Northern Tool instead! The item is still shown online and available for ordering even though I let them know. SCAM!

Ordered an item online using a visa gift card to pay on 11 May.
I went to the store for pickup after email notification. I was told that the visa gift card was rejected by NT. And the money was refunded after being rejected. And if I wanted the item I would need to pay using my CC. So I paid, taking their word for the problem. After I left the store I called the Visa gift card customer service phone #. They said the money was never returned to the account. So I went back to the store to confront the manager about this issue. They gave me the royal run around. Here we are a month later and they still won't refund the original amount of money they stole from me. NOTHING BUT SCAM ARTISTS!
Rude workers (Alexandria) at the north midland, tx so. I'm a paying customer. There's no reason for the snotty attitude just cuz your pregnant and your hormones change. If you don't want to be there than leave!

Ordered a Vestil item on June 8 from Northern Tool and Equipment's website. Immediately recieved an email with an order number and a June 16-18 delivery date. Also stated I would receive an email with the shipping tracking number when the item ships. June 12 rolled around, no emails, checked the order on Northern Tool's website, the emailed order number was reported as a nonexistent order, the screen displayed another order number, but did not describe the item for the displayed order number. There were no links on the website to open the displayed order number. I called the customer service number. I learned that Northern Tool had no idea when my item would ship or be delivered. I learned they did not know if my item had shipped. The agent told me to wait a couple of days to see if it would ship. I explained if it hasn't shipped it wouldn't be delivered by June 16 as promised. The agent did not respond appropriately, she said it was at least 8 to 12 business days before the item would be delivered. This response, which I believe to be truthful, does not agree with the advertising/promised delivery from Northern Tool's web page.
This is totally unacceptable. Northern Tool has pulled the old "bait and switch".
Don't bother doing business with this corporation, you'll get more accurate performance from Amazon or any other hardware vendor.
I made a purchase in May 2023. When I made my purchase, I never received a confirmation, no receipt, other than from PayPal, NOTHING. About 2 weeks later, I contact Northern Tool. They tell me my order was cancelled! I never received ANYTHING from them about cancelling my order either. Here I sit waiting for the tool that I needed, and they don't even have the courtesy to tell you that your order has been cancelled. I will no longer be using Northern Tool, I will go elsewhere. Even if it costs me a few pennies more, I will be guaranteed to receive my order and update emails without any problems.
My experience as a customer was awful. Their customer service is terrible and unhelpful. They ripped me off and they have hidden shipping / return fees. Overall a terrible experience.
Paul is a VERY rude manager at the Augusta Ga store562. When asked about a warranty on a tool he rudely stated he was not going to warranty it because it wasn't bought from there. Just to inform you, certain Brand name tools can be returned to any store that carries it and they will warranty it if they have it in stock...NOT MR RUDE PAUL! This store won't last long if he stays manager.

This company is extremely poor to deal with and would suggest to stay away. I had ordered a steamer on November 28,2022 and have checked with NE many times in regards to where the steamer is. I have had some responses saying it will take awhile to clear customs and communication up to Jan 16,2023 saying it is still at customs. Now after asking AGAIN to speak with a supervisor I have been told it was delivered Dec 23,2022@ 12:01am. They told me that this is not their problem and I need to go to the police and file a complaint. After speaking with another supervisor (other one never called back as promised) I have been told it has been delivered to another city and still isn't their issue. I have even told the supervisors that I have chat logs up to January 16,2023 saying I haven't received it and NE doesn't care...Now waiting again as i pressed this is their issue, not mine...
Ordered wood stove! After two weeks no delivery to store and no information about order status! After 2 day's of store manager "work", my order was canceled without even ANY excuse! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Eduardo takes pride in his job. He knew exactly where everything was and advice on use of equipment. It's obvious he cares for good quality customer service. This occurred at the Goliad road location in San Antonio tx. Five star service
I ordered a shop press. The press weighs 100 lbs. The delivery instructions said that the driver would ring the doorbell to see where to put the box. The driver did not ring the bell, rather they left it out front for my 67 year old mother to wrestle into the house. They also left the package at the complete opposite side of the house from the door.
When we opened the package for Christmas to begin assembling the press, I discovered that the manufacturer had drilled 2 of the mounting holes on the wrong end of one of the main support beams. This makes it impossible to assemble the press. Northern tools will not do anything to rectify this issue
Ordered a bandsaw blade. Almost a month later, I'm still waiting. Amazon would have been 5 days MAX.
Bought and paid for a new tool box on a Sunday said they would hold until I could come with my pickup to get it, showed up following week and they said they sold it and have no more in stock other than the assembled floor model that was scratched, they ordered one and have no clue when it will arrive. Thinking best option is to get my money back and go to harbor freight.
I order a tools in black friday,they freaking cancel it after a week. That tools i bought it supposed to be a birthday gift, now its too late!
Do not shop with Northern Tool, especially any type or promotion. They'll send you the part you pay for then never send you & cancel the promotional item. Complete bait n' switch & false advertising. They will not send you any notification of this nor make it right (even though they have said promotional item in stock). Per their words "we have a right to make a mistake as a company" and that this happens all the time. Just in this particular case this same thing was done to thousands of customers with no resulution and most still waiting for something that will never come. Don't trust them!
Purchased a leaf blower and it won't stay running for more that 5 minutes, Called Northern Tool and they told me it's not their problem because I put gas in it and I need to call the manufacturer (Husqvarna) I also purchased an extended warranty and not feeling good about that purchase either
Bought products from northern only because I was supposed to receive a gift card. Called after several months and they said they would send it again still nothing. I checked my email spam both times with no luck. Will never buy anything from them ever again. But hey good luck t everyone else
Answer: Absolutely horrible, you get the rub around with emails containing same useless info from multiple people, shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and anxiety
