Husband ordered my a weed ship for Mother's Day. Today is May 22 and still no weed whip. They said they refunded us. They have not. Buyer Beware! Stay away if you value your money. We are still fighting to get ours back.
Ordered a solar panel. A wooden table was shipped instead. Called customer service, he told me to call the police. After about 20 calls I was transferred to Kristy. She told me that she will call me the next day, that never happened. Called again the lady told me they gave ma a credit on April 26th. I called my credit card company no credit was issued. I called again the lady on phone start calling me names (literally).
I filed a complaint with California Attorney general's office. The told me they have over 1000 complains about Northern tools. Dont buy from them, bad people, bad products, a bunch of crooks.
High prices for cheap Chinese quality. Grumpy staff. Policy that refuses returns of any engine-powered tool once gas and oil are added (which is crucial to knowing whether or not that engine will operate). Bought a gas-powered pressure washer there that was, without fail, the single worst product I every purchased and only after speaking with corporate officer could I get an equally crappy replacement. Will NEVER shop there again
I love the atmosphere in there and the people are great my family love it there will be going back they always have what I need.
Ordered a product online that was not listed as back ordered at the time I placed my order, February 22,2021. No big deal. I called a few weeks later requesting a tracking number and was only then notified that my purchase had back ordered. Still, no big deal. I was told that my order might be shipping out May 2021 and I specifically requested that my order remain in the system. Two months later, in May, I call again. It is then that I was informed that my order had been canceled in April. When asked why my order had been canceled they said that two letters had been sent via postal mail to my address. When I asked what address the letters had been sent to they gave me the address of the store I was having my order shipped to. Needless to say, I was furious. They not only had my address on file but also my email and phone number and never once used either one of those to correspond with me. I waited/wasted three months! Now I will find a similar product somewhere else and will happily pay extra to not be treated like crap!
Purchased item for Church, they billed Card.
Have NOT Shipped, Billed Card AGAIN.
All their "credit services" person had was BS Excuses.
They are fixing to have a problem In GA... they are Not Honest!
The store did no/t have in stock what we wanted. Said could order and have shipped to store within a week. We ordered on 4/18/21 it is now 5/2/21 and they do not have it yet, blaming the parent company. My transaction # is ******* at store #443. Called today they have the winch but not the hose reel. The store did not acknowledge with a phone call their situation, I had to call them. They got the hoist in but, now they say they do not know when the hose reel will be in. I have had good relationship with the store before, but to treat me with no concern of dropping the delivery of a product I paid for concerns me.
I just want to know when the $142 dollar hose reel will be delivered.
My mothers sewage pump went out. I ordered another with a 2 day delivery on 03/29/21. Got it today. After they had to "reship" two other pumps. The first pump made it to the airport, after 2 days past the 2 day delivery date I called fedex who told me to wait two days. I called again and was told 2 days, talked to a manager who said it was lost. Northing took 3 more days before they shipped another pump. The second pump site in the warehouse for 3 days before the same status of "no availably delivery date" called again and was told to, you guessed it, wait another 2 days because "the 2 day shipping doesnt start until the pump is picked up by fedex" I guess meaning the site that says its suppose to be there 2 days later doesnt amount to anything. After an email and another call I was promised a pump would be shipping on monday 4/19 with special over night 1 day delivery since my mother has now been WITHOUT RUNNING WATER for almost a month. Did I get it on the 20th? No. I did infact finally recieve an update and got the pump today 4/21 at 11pm EST. Almost a FULL MONTH after I ordered the pump. And to beat it all when it finally got here the box was ripped open on the bottom so hopefully it actually works.
My review is based on my first and last experience with Northern Tool. Please beware. They cancelled my order without notifying me that the card was denied. I called card customer service and it was never declined as Northern Tool and Equipment claimed. Now I have no product and I am left empty handed! Buyer beware.
I tried returning a raised galvanized steel flower bed. Was lied to by multiple people that i can't return any of them because 1 out of the items out of the entire order shipped. Till i took it all the way up the chain and am still sitting on a charge even after they got their product back. $#*! this company and their absolute predatory business tactic.
Thought I was getting a deal on a "clearance" drill press. Brought it home and found out it doesn't work. This is how Northern Tool gets rid of broken equipment, hoping people will just keep it and fix it themselves. Wasted half a day lugging it there and back from out of town. It was the only drill press on clearance, and just my luck it was the last one! I was such a sucker. Very manipulative. Do not trust Northern Tool
Ordered a Power inlet Box and after 3 days delivery delay I called them. They said that the package was labeled but never went out the facility. Very big inconvenience as now I have to wait another week to get it delivered(hopefully). I am affected when my clients are affected and this is the case. Let's say that my first experience with Northern Tool was not a positive one.
This company has always been reliable to have the things I need and things I didn't know I needed but found. Good prices and sales. Friendly staff. Clean stores. Thank you for your service!
I ordered a 600lb rated 4 wheel cart. Should have been here last week. They called today and said it was here. Went right over after work. After 30 minute wait was finally told it was shipped to the wrong location. Would be here in 2 or 3 days. That does not help me moving tomorrow. If they do not have in stock got some where else. Thought this would be a nice place to do business but just another low rated store.
I have not had so much run around if I had purchased a unit like this in the flea market. Unbelievable!
Waiting for my order for over two and half months, called many times to track order, canceled my order without any reason. Worst worst worst company
I ordered a Skid-Steer Boom Crane (Model# SSTB-3500). It was shipped from manufacture. The freight company sent it out "long Haul" from Litchfield, IL. To my location in Washington State. After 300 miles it was turned around and sent back to Saint Louis, MO. (34 miles south of original departure location). Old Dominion Trucking showed "weather delay" on their site but the Northern Tool site showed a more detailed map of what was going on.
From there after a three day delay it hopped across the country stopping and getting loaded on a new truck every 400-600 miles, 9 transfers across the country. Northern Tool advertised 9-11 days for delivery. After 15 days it arrived in the Seattle terminal two hours and a ferry ride from our location. Old Dominion would be transferring to another carrier that only delivers 1-2 days a week depending on loads. Another words another week if I was lucky making it double the estimated delivery. I opted to hold it at the Seattle terminal and made the 4 hour round trip including a ferry to pick up
Upon arrival and inspection the pallet was destroyed and the boom was loose on the pallet. There were several scrapes and scratched including one major spot (6"x9") where it had chaffed on the side wall of the truck (clearly for a long period of time).
I documented everything and contacted Northern Tool and was offered a $50 gift card. I replied that was an insult given the $240 I paid for freight and another $100+ in ferry's and gas, not to mention my time driving 4 hours. This also does not include repairs.
They then offered to pick it up (at my cost) and return it. $480 in freight and nothing to show for it.
As far as the boom itself all the welds look good and its heavy duty (only reason it survived). There is no primer and appears to be only a single coat of paint. Powder coat or at least primer would have helped prevent all the scrapes and scratches.
Given Northern Tools lack of fairness in dealing with the issues I will never order from them again!
Ordered some items back in December, 2020. I ordered a total of 12 items. 8 items showed in stock at local retailer, with the remaining four showing "will ship in 2-5 days." Received an email next morning stating items could be picked up at local store. I arrived expecting to get items that were in stock... not one item was there. My first of several wasted trips to their inconvenient location. Manager in the store stated that all online orders were sent to the store and they never "pull items" from their in stock to reserve for online orders. I then presented a hard copy of my email telling me to come in and pick it up (dated/timed). He stood there dumbfounded and a look of "well i just f'd up and got caught." He ran to the back, spent 10 minutes doing something, and then came up and said that all items are ordered and will be in within a week or two.
Long story short, 6 unnecessary trips due to staff incompetence (telling me my total order was ready for pickup and it wasn't, me traveling to get ordered canceled because over the phone customer service was useless, and their hours are not even posted correctly for Saturday hours online), my items got backordered and pushed back 1.5 months, and I eventually just returned every item once it came in because I was able to walk into a competitors store during this entire time and buy off the shelf.
They lost my business for good. I am a tradesman who uses Milwaukee primarily. If Milwaukee came out tomorrow and said they would sell exclusively through Northern Tool, I would stop buying Milwaukee. Brand loyalty is important to most tradesman. I'd jump brands before going back to Northern Tool.
Employees are not at all helpful or friendly. Person on the register is very cold. I only go to the Plano, TX store when I really need something. Very poor service
Have made multiple purchases from Northern Tool and Equipment - good website, easy to navigate and great products for reasonable prices!
Answer: Absolutely horrible, you get the rub around with emails containing same useless info from multiple people, shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and anxiety
