Last year I wanted to get a pair of the Ugg cargo boots I love this boot because it had a side pouch to put things in. These boots are very nice I placed the order at the end of last winter. It was very easy they had exactly what I was looking for. They sent the boots out right away. I received the boots less than 8 days of the order. I called the store to get some details on time frame for shipping. I love Nordstrom's I called around and tried to get the best price for the same boots. I was given cheaper prices online but I wondered if they where real? Nordstrom's Ugg Boot was priced a little lower than some dealers. They are very close in price. But if you want the real Ugg boot we know they are not cheap and can be rather pricey. My boots are great well worth the $137.00 that I paid last year. Since I bought them at the end of the season they where on sale. Fast easy transaction. Nordstrom's also has a department called the rack where you can find designer clothes at discount prices. I have been shopping at this store for years. They have a huge selection of genuine Ugg boots. My absolute favorite place to get shoes. Honestly, my rating here is based more on the store experience. The shoes aren't plenty but what shoes there are, are of good quality. I ordered once online because I couldn't find the shoes I wanted in my size at the store. The people at the store checked online for me and found them there. Delivery took longer than Zappos or Endless, but they've kind of spoiled us by not making us wait for our shoes. I didn't mind the wait.
I bought some shoes online with them and they didnt fit well so i used their return shipping label that came with my receipt, i then did a live chat with them to ensure that they had indeed received the shoes and that the credit would go back to the credit card that had been used to purchase said items, and they assured me that the credit had been put back to the credit card. Next thing i know i get a gift card in the mail for the amount due, i did another live chat with their customer service and they claim that they sent a gift card assuming the original order was a gift, so hopefully i get the amount due to my credit card soon.
Don't listen to the haters. Nordstrom is pretty great. In-stock status actually means something with them, and returns are easy and free. Also, the site is easy to browse.
I probably shop at Nordstrom.com twice a month (and frequent the store) and have been over the past 7 years. I've had nothing but pleasant experience with them. Their standard shipping is fast, I usually get my order in less than a week because they always ship Priority Mail for their standard. I've also done returns and they have they BEST return policy out of anyone. They don't ask any questions, if you don't like it, even if you've used the items they will take it if you are not fully satisfied. I don't take advantage of this though, I've only returned only when I absolutely have to. Customer service has always been helpful to me. I love how they often have good deals. I just love Nordstrom, definitely my favorite department store. Probably about 80% of my closet is from Nordstrom because they always have nice quality stuff! Love me some Nordys :)
I have always had great luck with Nordstroms.com. I especially love the feature where you can reserve your item online and pick it up at the store. It is more expensive than most stores, but the customer service is great.

I use this site to purchase gift certificates for my sister. Nordstrom is one of her favorite places to get shoes, and with a gift certificate, she can get what she pleases. Ordering doesn't call for registration (which is nice, for a change), and delivery is prompt.
I usually don't shop for clothes online. The clothes might seem beautiful online, but ugly in reality. Or sometimes they do not fit right.
However, I trust shop.nordstrom.com. Their clothes have good quality. I also love that they are trendy without trying too hard. (style should seem effortless)

I TRIED to order some items on line at this website... I EXPECTED the same level of professionalism and care in their customer service... WRONG. WRONG. WRONG! Their customer service is TERRRRRRRIBLE. I ended up needing a Nordstrom store manager to intercede on my behalf to clear up what was an absolutely reasonable request. All I wanted was for them to cancel an order that was "in Process" for over 5 business days... I needed the item before it would have arrived and so ended up just going into a physical store to buy it. The store was great. Nordstrom.com is a blight on the Nordstrom name! I am not sure who is running it, but I got a lot of excuses about "policy" and "I can't", and "it can't be done" and my favorite: "We don't do that.". Whaaaaat the?
So, if you want to order from Nordstrom.com - I would recommend getting the information and calling your nearest physical store. Have them ship it to the store and not only will you get better customer service, but you will pay NO SHIPPING (if the item is valued at more than $25).
In the end, I think my biggest gripe about Nordstrom.com is not that they give such bad service (which they do), but that they DO NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING about cancellation, possible delays, or pricing restrictions/availability... basically, this is a recipe for an unsatisfying and disastrous experience.

Answer: I have bought a fair number of designer handbags and sunglasses from Nordstrom. In all cases (depending on designer) the handbags were marked inside by the designer, where the item was made, usually a serial number and often a certificate of authenticity. This is especially true of the couture items i. E. Prada, Yves St. Laurent, etc. I have never questioned an items authenticity that I purchased from Nordstroms. They are way too big to risk their rep on fakes.
