Went ahead with the intention of beating the whole Christmas pain and ordered early. I knew I would get it way before Christmas but the fact that I got it two days after the order was placed was a surprise.
The service was still good. But, they did not charge me for shipping to US so I had to then make an addtional payment via PayPal, This was an inconvenience and the first time this has happened to me shopping in a UK store.
I ordered merchandise on 8/13 at 11:42 and received a verification of my order (order *******). My credit card was charged the same day. After not getting any shipping or tracking information after the next week, I proceeded to contact them using their email customer service link. The items were and have been in stock this whole time, and I really wanted them. I emailed them no less than a dozen times. Never did I receive a single response. Never the courtesy of any response whatsoever. I even tried calling the physical store, and although they were nice, they did not help me either. They gave me a phone number that did not every get me to a person. In my last email contact, I warned them that I would share this with every review site I could find. Still not one word.
I have had to dispute this charge through my credit card in order to get my money refunded.
Trust these reviews; this company does not care at all. They will take your money, and you'll never hear from them again. What a shame.
They took my money 3 weeks ago and I can't even get them to send me an order confirmation email. I'd think the order never went through except the money promptly left my bank.
Not 1 reply to numerous emails over a 3 week period... not 1!
Am waiting for 30 days to pass before I can take action with bank etc.
They don't deserve the 1 star I have given them...
NOT ONE EMAIL OR REPLY!
Hey I thought I would update my first review! Back in August I purchased a Samsung 3D TV! Around 3wks later I was informed that this was not available due to discontinued line! I was offered a alternative or a refund! I went for the refund? Several weeks later and umpteen messages using the ticket no I was given I still had no refund? I purchased the TV using my debit card so thought that was it no chance of getting my money back? I was given a link giving me some light that I could get my money using a chargeback scheme! This was from a guy who also had similar dealings with this SCAM of a business! And had left a negative review! I went on and contacted Visa dispute and copied the chargeback template filling in all the relevant information! This was sent into visa dispute on the 14/10/2015 I received my full refund on the 21/10/2015! So guys if you haven't had any Luck this is for sure one way to get your money back! Good luck and cheers Mike.
I chose to ignore the reviews as I had purchased from them years ago, that was a mistake. My order went past the estimated delivery date, so I contacted them and decided to wait another week, after which I decided to cancel as they had admitted the were having problems getting the watch. You cannot contact them by phone, only via their "live" support system which usually takes 2 days and then you realise that they do not actually read your email, as their response never fully addresses your query! Twice I asked for a refund, finally getting my credit card company involved. Please be aware and take on board what most people are saying
I bought two "new" Seiko watches. One of them had a battery failure within 12 months, and I delivered the watch to a local Seiko dealer. The watch had a non-genuine battery! Seiko wouldn't service the watch, so I contacted Nigel support. 6 months later after requesting updates weekly, they told me I HAD CHANGED THE BATTERY?!?!?!
These people are selling pre-owned/used products. I would recommend that you choose someone else.

I ordered 3 Chamilia beads on the 5th of June 2015 and to this date I still haven't received my order. After a couple of months of support tickets chasing the status of my order the responses I got were unacceptable and very unhelpful. I kept getting the same message repeated, along the lines of 'we are waiting for delivery from Chamilia' and their solution was suggesting that I could cancel my order! I would not have placed the order and waited months just to cancel because they couldn't provide what they advertise on their website. The beads I ordered were available on the Chamilia website the entire time my order was 'pending' and when I ordered directly from them I had my beads within a week so I do not believe Nigel O'Hara would have had to wait 2 months for a delivery from such a reputable company. I asked for a managers email address because I wasn't happy and I got given an email address with a comment that I will still get the same response from them. Their customer 'service' is non existent in my eyes.
To make matters worse I received an email on the 15th of August to say my goods were dispatched, when I contacted Nigel O'Hara around 10 days later because I still hadn't received my order I was told that I need to wait until the 30th of August then they can open an investigation with Royal Mail. I have asked them to do this and I have been told that their 'investigation' will take up to 28 days then they will issue a refund.
So after what will be 4 months of Nigel O'Hara having my money I am lucky enough to get a refund... disgusting! If they are doing this to a number of customers the amount they will be earning in interest by keeping peoples money in their bank accounts must provide a nice bonus for the company. I am going to be getting further advice now. I can only warn others to stay away from this company.
Avoid this company at ALL costs – Poor communication (Email only - no phone number), very poor service and totally fobbed off when trying to get a refund from an order that was never dispatched!
> Placed order for a TV - 2 weeks later still no delivery or communication.
> Emailed them to follow up - advised the order was coming direct from manufacture.
> Waited a further 3 days - still with no communication.
> Contacted them again (All by email) advising i wanted to cancel the none dispatched order. Was told it would take up to 14 days to process.
> 14 days came and still no refund - contacted them again. Received another vague promise the refund would be processed soon.
> Then received another automated email like the first one sent out on request of a refund advising it will be processed in due course!
I'm now instructing my credit card company of the none received item and lack of refund after losing all faith in them processing one.
Just an update. November 2015, bought, sorry... paid for a TV which was not in stock back in August despite my every effort to get a refund I never did. Thanks to my Credit Card who have refunded me. They are now chasing these thieves...
Advice: If you are spending over £100 USE A CREDIT CARD FOR PAYMENT YOUR PURCHASE IS THEN INSURED IF YOU DONT GET THE GOODS OR THEY ARE DAMAGED...
Ordered a watch in July. They took the money in August... No watch appeared in September. I contacted them to say just cancel the order... then never heard a word. Kept sending emails. Still nothing... said i would take it further if i got no response. Still nothing. Fortunately i bought the watch with paypal... and took it up with them... RESULT! Money back and i shall never have to deal with them again... and for those of you who havent yet dealt with them... DONT. You have been warned by many before me also... I wish i had paid attention to thenreviews, but the lure of a cheap Citizen watch made me blind... if not for Paypal I could still be waiting... STAY AWAY
I ordered a printer from Nigel O'Hara and waited for it to be delivered. After a week i emailed them to see where it was only to be told there had been a pricing error and if i wanted the printer i would have to pay another £20. Reluctantly I paid and followed up with an email to let them know i had paid. Only then was I told the item was out of stock even though their website stated the contrary. I was assured that they would expedite the delivery and they gave me a new delivery date. It came and went. So did the next. I asked for a refund which they reluctantly gave me only after chasing and hounding them for almost 3 weeks. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY. From initial order to final refund took 2 months. Absolute agony.
My experience mirrors many of the other negative reviews.
In short, Nigel O'Hara used me as a free line of credit on a high value item.
This is worrying as it means their business is probably struggling to raise finance at competitive rates, and may even be playing these tricks to have enough cash flow to pay its own staff. Anyway, more detail of my experience below.
I bought a 65 inch TV on 1 July for c. £1,400 - which was labelled as "in stock" - and in doing so took some comfort in the overall high rating of this company on trustpilot (without delving in to the detail reviews - a mistake I won't make again).
While Nigel O'Hara took my c. £1,400 immediately, the TV was not dispatched. After much chasing, I was told after 14 days that "we are still working with our suppliers to get your TV", and given the explicit option to cancel my order. At this point I cancelled the order and sourced the TV elsewhere.
Obtaining the refund was then a tortuous task. I was given the runaround from Nigel O'Hara - whose replies seemed to be an exercise in extreme politeness e.g. "Sincere apologies for the delay we will pass your request on to our finance team...", with no telephone number or offer to discus in person. As I pointed out, all Nigel O'Hara needed to do was to log in to their PayPal account and click on "Issue Refund", and so the delays were not justifiable.
In the end, I secured a refund on 4 August, by raising a formal dispute through the dispute resolution centre at PayPal. In hindsight I wish I'd escalated this sooner, rather than wasting my time asking Nigel O'Hara for a refund more than once.
One final thought. Nigel O'Hara seem to carefully control their rating on another site called Trustpilot. If you have a negative experience would be worth sharing it here as well.

A few weeks ago I had purchased a Jawbone UP2, which I absolutely love!
Being a bit new-fangled with technology I was happy when I contacted customer service and they helped me out by talking me through the features.
Nigel O'Hara took a week to despatch a far cheaper substitute, as the item I bought wasn't actually in stock (No offer of refund/alternative) and then got no reply when I contacted their customer support. Payed with paypal so thankfully i'm covered.
They took £700 out my bank 11 days ago for a new Samsung flat screen TV, I received an email with my order number within minutes and the money was gone within 24 hours. 11 days since and 3 support tickets later and not a peep. Have left my number and no one will speak to me. Tried calling the shop, they wont speak about web orders and wont put you onto anyone that will. Have raised a Visa dispute with my bank. ADDED - I cancelled the dispute as the TV came after a month and they started responding to my online queries. Product is good and at a great price, just be prepared for poor customer service in terms of communications and poor delivery times.
Ordered a Citizen Watch and it arrived fairly promptly. The price was the best around and the quality of the watch was fantastic.
It really does seem like a mixed bag- personally the service I received was exemplary when I ordered my Samsung TV.
Excellent service aside, I do feel for those that have had a negative experience with this company. I would shop with them again albeit hesitantly as I would dislike to be just another angry customer.
Answer: Best thing to do is contact your bank or credit card company and they will get you a refund via the charge back guarantee scheme. The online business has closed down I understand.
Answer: Sorry mate this normal for this joke of a company. They don't answer the phone due to so many people in the same situation as your self. I think I got hold of them once in 30 attempts and was told they would refund me but that never happened. Watchdog needs to investigate these mugs then we will all get refunds.
Answer: Hi I had the same message plastered across my web account last night 5th Nov. Have they gone bust? I have contacted NI Consumerline to complain, suggest everyone who are owed do the same PJK
Answer: I have had this same issue I have instructed my bank to deal on my behalf and have received this message today Dear Customer, Due to unforeseen circumstances the JRN Retail Group, trading as Nigel O’Hara, will not be able to fulfil your order or provide you directly with a refund. Please do not panic, as you will be able to obtain a full refund via the method of payment used to complete your purchase on our website. Simply contact the bank or credit card used for your purchase, then ask them to initiate a chargeback for the transaction. This process will see the money returned to you in full. We wish to sincerely apologise for the obvious inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer any further customer support or refund solutions.
Answer: Simple answer pal is no order no refund you need to contact your bank credit card as nigel ohara is a con artist
Answer: I have also been ripped off by this scam site I went to my bank and have logged a complaint with them
Answer: I have. But I bought using PayPal and so used their services to obtain my refund. That was on the 12/09/2015 I shall never ever use them again. I don't care if their prices appear cheaper than the rest
