Netflix Reviews Summary

The company has a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating its extensive library of content and user-friendly interface, which enhances the viewing experience. However, numerous complaints highlight significant dissatisfaction with rising subscription costs, technical issues like slow loading times, and customer service inadequacies. Many users express frustration over billing problems and the perceived decline in content quality, particularly regarding Netflix originals. Overall, while the platform remains popular for its variety, the growing concerns about service reliability and customer support suggest a need for improvement to retain loyal customers.

I have to admit, I love the idea of Netflix, and if you order the DVD's, it's great, but the instant streaming leaves a lot to be desired. They have a bad selection, and if you actually look closely at the titles, you will see that about 80% of them are things that did very poorly at the box office. In other words, the things you want to see will not be on there. In addition, when they come out with a new release that is popular, like "Eat, Pray, Love" they only have it on there for a month, then they pull it off! I was halfway through watching it, and had it in my instant queue, and the next day, it's gone. Especially for the price increase, they need to have a lot more movies, (and ones people actually want to watch) available for instant viewing.

It's convenient and works really well. Love the apps for mobile. Only problem is the lack of new hit movies available for streaming.

I love netfilx but it does suck that they're going up in price and I wish they had newer movies on the netflix on xbox live rather then just movies on encore and stars.

AWESOME!
July 28, 2011

AWESOME! Be aware though that netflix will be changing their membership plans soon. I used to subscribe for the streaming and one DVD out at a time. I cancelled the DVD part of the deal and now just receive the streaming through my Wii machine and my son's Xbox 360. They offer great movies and tv shows in all categories... granted they aren't always the newest movies but who cares-that's what redbox is for. I also think Netflix eventually wants to get away from the DVD biz and become strictly a streaming type biz and this is why they are changing membership fees. I'll keep you posted...

It's the best streaming online video option available right now. It works great. The que is the best, and it doesn't have enough competition right now. Well worth the $8 for streaming. I will probably be cancelling my dvd service with them with the rise in price, but I will def. Keep my streaming service.

I have had Netflix for a long time, within the last year I have been mostly streaming. My one DVD out at a time tends to sit on my coffee table for two months. Thats not really the point. The point is I am a long time customer and suddenly they want to double the price on me? The letter we got in the email explaining the increase was basically "were raising the price, to bad if you don't like it" They did not offer a grandfathered in price or anything. I chose to kick the DVDs and just keep streaming, but i can tell you, just because of how they handled it, if i ever find someone else with a decent stream library then I will be a former Netflix customer.

I have had a great experience to date. I am not happy about the 25% or so price increase if you want the 2 movie and streaming package. The package I have at $14.95 is no longer available and is now almost $20.00, as of August 1,2011. I am dropping the streaming video to save money. That seems to be a big jump all at once that I am not willing to pay. The streaming did slow down my other computers in the house so I don't think I will miss it anyway. It is still a great value for the money!

This site is moderately expensive but they are truthful about every word. However you need to have high computer setting for it i. E. you have to have Windows 7 and high speed internet etc. I recommend tubeplus. It is free and also has all the new releases, granted their quality isn't the best and their advertisements are annoying but I still highly recommend checking Tubeplus before using Netflix.

The quality of videos is wonderful. I just gave it less stars because there are not a lot of shows available on the site that you can watch without ordering in via mail. This is a feature I do not like. However, for what netflix does do, provide access to shows/movies via mail, it does well.

Its a pretty good site. I only have 2 problems with it though. They need more anime and reality shows to stream and some of the anime they do stream is subbed but no option to but into an english dubbing. If they could do that the site would be perfect.

I love netflix
June 10, 2011

I love netflix. I started with a free trial and knew I'd join before it was over. I got the 2 a month. Mostly I watch it for the instant streaming movies and tv shows. They've added a lot of new titles lately and are getting newer movies too. Sometimes the sound is not that great on the computer and I need headphones, but that's the only real problem with streaming. It also lets you know when a movie on instant is not going to be available online for much longer.

You can also watch on XBox and Wii. The interface on both is really easy to use and got improved so it's easier to search.

I had a movie go missing before it got to me and they sent out a replacement quickly. Even let me know when the missing one turned up somewhere. Movies get here fast. One day I got a notice my next disc had been shipped and got it the next day! They have a really good selection too, but sometimes the recommendations based on my viweing are really strange. But you know that makes it fun because I might get suggested something I'd never consider.

I recommend netflix. You can order movies and they DO come quickly. You don't have to pay any postage to send it back in its own package. And their are plenty of movies to choose from a bunch of categories. My favorite are the documentaries from all different categories which are very very informative. So with the price of gas netflix is well worth it saving the trip of running back n forth to get your movie and then BLAH having to take it back.

I was a netflix subscriber for a number of years. I've always liked the service over having to go to blockbuster. However, I recently canceled because there are just better technology out now that it's for me its no longer worth the $15 a month.

I can get pretty much all the new releases on my FIOS. Yes they are $4.99 or $5.99 each, but they come out earlier and I rarely find more than 3 movies I'd want to watch a month anyways. I'm also impatient and got tired of waiting up to 3-5 days to get my dvds. When I'm in the mood for a movie, I want to see it right now!

Also, since losing their deal with Starz the streaming content has not been very good. The value in netflix I suppose is the "long tail" movies - indie movies that you won't really find anywhere else. I suppose if you are a movie junkie or don't have cable, it may still be worth it.

Netflix has revolutionized my life. Seriously, I didn't even care much about TV until I saw all the TV shows, movies, and documentaries I had access to with my Netflix membership. I have cancelled my cable TV service and believe that Netflix is far a better offer. First of all, the DVDs you rent are yours to watch for as long as you want, there are no late fees to worry about. Second of all, many of the things they have available on DVD are also available for streaming. If you have a video game system, you are already set to stream Netflix into your TV without a problem. Of course, Neftlix doesn't have every single TV episode and movie ever made, but I'd say their selection is great. Another con: people who do not understand English very well, or hearing impaired people, will not be satisfied by Netflix. To this date, there is no closed caption or subtitle service, which is a serious weak point in their service. Hopefully, they will fix this soon, as I saw recently that there are a few shows that you can stream on your computer and will have the subtitles option.

I've been using netflix for about 10 years. They have super customer service and a solid product.

Since they have expanded to online viewing, I've pretty much stopped getting the DVD's. I can watch everything through my Wii.

If you have a Wii, PS3, Xbox360 it worth the try.

Excellent site for movie lovers. Watch movies at your convenience any time and anywhere you have High Speed Internet connection under 10$ a month. However if your ISP provider imposes a download cap you have to make sure you don't pay extra for bandwidth usage.

Can I give Netflix more than the allotted amount of stars? We hardly watch regular telly anymore as there are better shows/movies available on Netflix for instant viewing and they're commercial free. Sure you can't always get the most recent releases right away, but for the price of service, you can't go wrong. On my list of things I can't live without, Netflix is in the top ten!

I love Netflix!
February 8, 2011

I love Netflix!

However, I usually only use the "Instant" feature on my Xbox 360. Whether you get the DVD's or view them via the internet, Netflix is always very quick about getting the movie to you! It saves the hassle of driving to and from the movie rental stores and also supports our postal system!
