Many users express frustration over billing problems and the perceived decline in content quality, particularly regarding Netflix originals. Overall, while the platform remains popular for its variety, the growing concerns about service reliability and customer support suggest a need for improvement to retain loyal customers.

I've been subscribed to Netflix for almost a year now, and even though prices have gone up, I still love it!. Even with the higher prices, I still feel like I'm getting my moneys worth! I have the instant play and one dvd at a time, and now that I can watch things from my wii and phone and not just the computer I think it's even better!
Can't live without it. Great way to watch TV shows that you never had the chance too when on the air. Also great way to pass the time if laid up.
Good movies, but they need to add new movies more, for the money people are paying them, they should be bale to update more
I must say I was a little leary about using netflix for the first time, but after getting set up I can't help but use netflix instead of my cable! Although I don't get all of the newest shows and movies, I still get a wide variety. I will be getting married soon and our tight budget will not allow a lot of room for the extra things, so we've decided to keep netflix instead of cable! It's great for college kids and others on a tight budget who are wanting to stay afloat during a bad economy!
Have been a subscriber for a year now. DO NOT REGRET IT! It may not be up the date very quickly, but because of netflix i probably have seem over 200 movies that I never would of seen without it. And I LIKED THEM!
Good cancellation policy. The quality of the streaming is iffy, though. So I don't know how long I'll stay with them.
Great product and site! I have never had an issue that they don't treat the customer with respect. We even misplaced a DVD, and they were prompt with directions and that was that! We enjoy the Instant Watch, where you have access to thousands of high quality videos on demand.
One star away from being 5 star simply because it forces you to pay extra for the newer, better movies by signing up for dvd delivery. It's cheap either way but its annoying to have access to 2/3 of a trilogy, being unable to watch the one part of the trilogy you really wanted to watch.
Instead of shelling out 100+ bones a month for your standard internet + tv combo, you can pay 8$/mo for access to all of their online content (which is decently extensive) to watch as much as you want. TV shows, movies of all genres and even a fireplace. Which I watched today during the Christmas festivities.
For a few dollars more you can get dvds mailed to you (newer content than what is available online)
REASONS TO USE:
[1] Incredibly cheap compared to the alternative
[2] Large library of content
[3] Convenient, instant access
REASONS TO LOSE:
[1] Content is a few weeks old (if that matters to you)
[2] Content for kids online is not very extensive or new
[3] If money is no object, pay for the latest and greatest instead
I don't have a television... and this site saved my life! For just 7 bucks a month I can all the shows I want, and conduct my own marathons... who knew?!?!?
I'm a post price update netflix user. I've kept the online instant plan and dropped the dvd's. I think it's fair price for the amount I use it. The quality of a movie isn't the greatest, but I'm sure they can work on it as they restructure.
I have a very basic computer set up with a Lenovo computer less than 6 months old, Win 7, DSL modem. No special anything on it.
I can watch Hulu shows and TV shows on www.cbs.com without any problems. But, when I tried NetFlix I had terrible streaming/buffering problems. When I contacted Netflix they told me to contact my internet service provider (ATT) - that it was their problem.
Talk about passing the buck! And telling me to contact ATT to fix anything is like telling me to give myself a frontal lobotomy without any anesthia, and, oh, here's an old pocket knife you can use to do it.
I hate companies that "pass the buck" to another company when there is a compatibility problem. This happens too often in the computer & communications arena.
Netflix should have been able to identify the problem (I'm sure I'm not the only person to run into this problem) and have some suggested solutions that they could give me.
Netflix is not my friend. Too bad because I'd love to watch some episodes that they have.
I love netflix cause i can watch all the old greys anatomy on my wii! I would recommend netflix to anyone.
If I had done this review a few months ago. They would have gotten a 5 star. The recent price increase and changing the way the accounts work as far as what you get for the level of package you bought now has me thinking very different about them. I think they let there popularity get the best of them. They thought they had a tight grip on their customer base. In this soft economy people did not stand for it and it hurt them. Big Time! They need to drop back to what worked and stop trying to be greedy. They have a great product and great features. They should stop trying to get over on the customer before they lose respect and end up like the one they helped run out of the market (Blockbusters) If they do that I will change my review. I still have them but I dropped my package like everyone else did when the changes came out. The rest of the customers they had just canceled them... Frontrunner
Netflix is great for watching tv shows, but sometimes it lags on the HD movies, probably my internet connection though.
I would recomend to anyone! I love this website! I have never had a problem with this site, and I can get any movie I want in my mailbox!
Netflix would have been great. If you could actually stream movies that are not 1 year old
I had been a Netflix user for years but I have gotten disgusted with unusable disks, extra charges for Blu-ray, lousy choices for online movies, how long it takes them to get the new movies when they come out (and that is going to get a lot worse from what I have read lately) and the constant price raising. Now that they have split their service they can raise their prices on us more often and do it twice (by raising one and then the other every few months. Anyway, I am done with them, cancelled their service today (or I would get charged again tomorrow).
Great website! I can catch up on my tv shows through my wii anytime I want. I can also get a dvd through the mail and it arrives no more than 2 days from when I asked for it! Love it!
First, I love Netflix. I live 20 miles from town and even 1/2 a mile from our mailbox. I put one in the mail, they get it the next day and I get the new one the day after. I have a 2 dvds out at once subscription. One I use for movies and the other for TV shows. When they started the extra cost for streaming I was surprised so many people were angry. I read a angry comment on one report where a woman stated she used to subscribe to a plan with 4 dvds out at once. When they offered free streaming she cut down to one and she wonders why they had to start charging separately and threatens to cancel! Sounds to me like it was just a matter of time for the loss of profits to start. I didn't stream anyway and actually pay less for dropping it. The real crime here is the cost of high speed internet that is fast enough to stream. You have to spend $60 to $80 a month to get speeds that fast! In these hard times that could go for rent, food, utilities, gas. I can't afford it.
NetFlix.com is fantastic for a number of reasons, not the least of which is their company identity / personality. This company really gives the impression of being a good corporate citizen. I mean, they are not "greed" based. They are extremely inexpensive for the service they deliver. SO cheap for what you get that you might even feel guilty using this service! They recently raised their prices but ONLY because the movie studios were giving them a hard time because they weren't making enough of a profit. Even with the higher price structure, this is still the greatest bargain I've ever seen! Also, picture quality and speed is terrific. They also get 5 stars on the movies they recommend I watch based on the ones I liked.
Answer: They do not, but he can listen to stand up shows I guess
Answer: Ohh finally someone thats having the same problem... Netflix always blames my Wi-Fi but, I know thats not the problem. Considering canceling.
