I spent over $3500. 00 for a trip to Bahamas, when we got there, (paid our own flight) was told they went into backruptsy a while back. ˙ad to get our own accomadations and had also booked two day boat rental. The knew they were going into this and never told us. They said that we didnt use the trip in the 120 days so they were not accountable even though our trip was booked ahead for 330 days. Visa said it was past the time that they could do any thing. My lawyers said to take it to small claims court. What good will this do if they are not in business any morre.
I purchased several tablets from ncrowd for my childcare center. The items were cheap looking and did not work. I asked for a refund and could only get a credit. I will advise no one to buy from them.
Now contacted trading standards! And now watch dog waiting to here if they can raise awareness of this frauding company!
Small claims court next!
Purchased 2 pairs of Dr Dre earphones total cost £56 and entered my payment details ONCE. Ncrowd now operating as Boom Street took the payment twice and ordered 4 pairs of earphones. I contacted them via email, no other option to contact them was offered, to be told their policy is not to refund and they will send me a credit note.
Hang on... They've fraudulently taken the payment twice and then won't give me my money back. How many other customers has this happened to?
I will not let this go and suggest not to use this company. I've used Groupon dozens of times and never had an issue, their service has been 2nd to none. STAY CLEAR OF NCROWD. BOOM ST
Awful experience. Bought a voucher for a massage at a company trading in the prestigious area of Harley Street, London. I was subsequently treated by a trainee who had been in their company for 2-day! She was totally and utterly useless and I may as well asked the cashier at Sainsbury Local to rub my shoulders while I was checking out my goods!
Having left the massage early, to save everyone embarrassment, I then proceeded to write to nCrowd to explain my awful experience and demand both an appropriate refund as well as their comments as to how they are going to deal with the company. Not an ounce of professionalism came from my contact with them. They have no experience whatsoever and I wish anyone who feels that this company is worth purchasing from, to hold back and consider one of the more 'ethical and professional' suppliers to the voucher/discount trade.
You have been warned. Don't cry if you still think they are offering legitimate deals.
I posted a review about a vendor from whom i purchased coupon on the site and they did not appear at all. I got a message saying the message will be posted after review, but never did. NCrowd is hiding information.
Ncrowd contacted my business to set up a deal selling facials, which I began in January 2015. They sold 16 tickets and I serviced all but one as of this date. I received an anonymous call stating to check my banking history and found out that Ncrowd only paid my business for the first two services in February and has paid us since. Apparently every other business advertising on Ncrowd is experiencing the same problem. They have also posted my ad on their partner sites, selling facials without my permission. The last few customers I've serviced have mentioned they were unable to use their coupons at the businesses because of the same issue and they also couldn't get refunded. I contacted Ncrowd by phone and left a voicemail and sent them 3 emails all with no reply. This website is a scam and no one should purchase from them. Clearly they are getting away with it as well since it's been almost a year this has been going on. DONT BUY!
I can't use my prepaid vouchers in at least two local restaurants due to "non-payment" from nCrowd!
Why are they not passing on the monies?
I have bought to thing from them and the consumer would accept the voucher, they are a total scam as the y bought out DEAL FIND and same thing happened as I have lost 4 vouchers due to them not paying there end of the bill so consumer's won't warranty it. Please forward this to anyone you know that deals or has with this company. They are owned by the same jerk from deal find i'm sure and he is a total scam artist, won't be long before he claims bakrupsy like deal find i'm sure
They will sell you a service voucher, the vendor refuses to honor and then they refuse to refund your money. When you try to get customer service, you will only get email responses with canned statements. Just look at the other complaints here and you will notice the same rep Carl S. Is handling all the complaints. Either he is a very busy man or there is no Carl S.! Just an FYI everyone most of the products sold on nCrowd are purchased and drop shipped out of China. If you really like a product that you see on nCrowd just do a google search on the product. You will find that you can order direct from the manufacturer for a much cheaper price and usually free shipping. You will find a lot of their products on tmart.com. Just go there, they want your business and offer amazing customer service.
I will be reporting Ncrowd to the UK Police tomorrow, along with the FBI in the US and RCMP in Canada, for trading whilst insolvent, ripping off both customers and vendors, thieving bunch of Whores that they are! And the rogues that work for them that have known what has been going on for months now!
This is a scam and now they are changing the name of thier company to crowdcut partners and boomtown crowdcut, it is just a way for them not to pay their vendors. I have people coming in and redeeming certificates that I won't get paid for. Horrible company, they won't return my calls or emails that I'm sure they are receiving, because in one of my messages I told them not to sell anymore deals if I'm not getting paid and they discontinued my deal.
We are Merchants from Edmonton. Alberta CA. NCrowd has sold hundreds of promotions under our company's name, we've received only two payments at the beginning-they were both very very late. We have not received a payment in over 4 months, despite numerous attempts to call, and email daily. They also continue to sell promotions even though we have asked them to cease sales. Unfortunately now, we must tell clients that they can try to get a refund or to go through their credit card company as we will no longer be redeeming any promotions. Reading all of these reviews, I believe that there should be some kind of class-action law suit to serve justice to these thieves. This 'Ncrowd' used to be called ' Dealathon", who made millions and then shut their doors leaving merchants and customers holding the bill. BUYER BEWARE.
As a merchant, we have not received payment from ncrowd since they started in replacement of Plum District. This is very frustrating to have no visibility of vouchers purchased by clients, many of which we have already honored without payment from our deals. I need information on where to file an official complaint/lawsuit.
We are merchant with ncrowd as well, we haven't got paid since January over 60K, do you have any further information? Please let me know if any of you take a legal action. Thank you!
I too am a merchant dealing with nCrowd. They stopped making payments for July and August. Every time I email them their response is that they are sending my request to accounting. Are they still in business? I will be sending my clients back nCrowd and no longer accepting voucher. Burned by Dealathon, TeamBuy and now NCrowd. Tired of this non sense. How will small business survive like this?
The word is they are not paying vendors so vendors are not shipping products / not honoring coupons.
I got burned few times (yes shame on me) and currently I am trying to get my money worth by ordering different product every time they refund my money. We are on 3rd round of this. I am not holding my breath, but I do think WE ALL should report them to Better Business Bureau.
Yes I have a question... Are you still in business?
We have a business and have been using Ncrowd for over a year and since April they will not call, email or pay their bills for services provided to their clients who pay them to use our services.
We used to be one of NCrowd vendors (we sold our products through Eversave and Moolala who were purchased by NCrowd). NCrowd never paid our company if we did not ask them often. We sold thousands items through them but they did not think we were important to them. I was a little unpatient how they always delayed my payment and very difficult to deal with. They would never paid if we did not email/ call them often. Surprisingly one time the CEO called me, the main point was if we could not cooperate with them so he would kick us out as their vendor. I thought I didn't want to deal with this unhealthy company that would potentially bankcruptcy. We said good bye in December 2014 :)
Say you return an item because you are unhappy with it. NCrowd will not refund you but issue you credit for the amount. You purchase another deal using a 15% off code. Naturally you want to use your credit. They will NOT let you. Their policy prohibits you from using your credit for a deal with a discount. Does this make any sense? It does not to me. Customer service keeps saying, 'We apologize for the inconvenience. You are a valued customer and we appreciate your feedback.' I am done with them.
Answer: They are still in scamming business - yes - they sell, but do not ship anything! Do not buy
Answer: No bankrupt. Just name change scam. They do this just about every year when they screw people... they just change their name. We are working on looking into getting them involved in the Federal Trade Commission here in the United States. What have you got over there? Some sort of government organisation?
Answer: Contact the Retail Ombudsman. This is a new service and you can lodge your complaint with them online. If you paid for your items by credit card you should be able to claim the monies back via your card provider. Hope this helps.
Answer: As others have suggested here, ask your credit card company for a chargeback as soon as possible. Explain to your cc company that nCrowd is now in foreclosure and isn't selling any more goods or services. Therefore, any unused store credit or vouchers are now useless. I wouldn't bother to wait for nCrowd to resume selling deals again. You could also send your cc company the information about the foreclosure (see the link below) to support your claim. Also, your cc company will likely request proof (e.g., emails with the merchants or the names of the merchants you have spoken to on the phone) that the merchants were unwilling to honor the vouchers. I was able to get a chargeback by doing the above. Perhaps you could ask PayPal for assistance if you used it to purchase the nCrowd deal. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ncrowd-forecloses-leaves-trail-bad-taste-albert-s-bitton
Answer: Did you use a credit card to purchase?
Answer: Hi, My name is Carl and I'm a manager with nCrowd. I'm so sorry for the trouble you've experienced with your recent purchase. Please email me at [email protected] with as many details as you can provide about your purchase so I may look into the matter further. Thank you!
Answer: When I got the shaft from this company, I complained to the Better Business Bureau, and asked my state's Attorney General for help. Then nCrowd responded quickly.
Answer: Dear Kath, NCrowd went bankrupt and were taken over (or renamed themselves) BoomStreet. Boomstreet said they would send me a refund but never did. I and a number of others posted warnings on SiteJabber about BoomStreet but these were removed due to "lack of evidence". Now BoomStreet has gone bust after taking more money from people - see BoomStreet.co.uk. This means that small creditors are at the back of the que, don't hold your breath! I would discuss this with your credit card company, that's your best hope. Best Regards, David
Answer: I wish I could tell you, all I know is do not accept a credit to their site. Maybe complain to your credit card company regarding their fraud?
Answer: They are Boomstreet now. Filed bankruptcy and changed their name. That way, they can keep all of the money they have collected from buyers and not send the merchandise. Merchants that do send merchandise on behalf of newly named Boomstreet WILL NOT GET PAID. I recommend finding Boomstreet online and sending them relentless emails demanding your money back. Don't let them keep your hard earned money! Feel free to answer back with updates. Good luck!
