Screw me once, shame on them. Screw me twice, shame on me. Tippr is the fugly red headed stepchild of online businesses like this. They put scam artists everywhere in a bad light. Run away and don't let the door hit you in the a** on the way out.
Ordered an item on November 18th which was supposed to be directly sent to my house. I have still not recieved the item and today is December 28th. I have emailed the website multiple times and gotten no response until today, and it was just an email saying my problem had been resolved. Completely worthless. DO NOT use this website unless you have money to just throw away.
Placed 5 orders, those that give a voucher and YOU turn it in worked well enough (some better then others) but the ones where the product is shipped directly after you order the deal on Tippr have never shown up. I have sent several e-mails and received no response.
I purchased a converter from them on 10/3, they billed my CC on 10/5 and was suppose to send me a voucher to get the item from an online vender. So far, after several emails to their support site, nothing has been done. I have removed the charge from my CC (thanks AMEX!) and have filed a complaint with the Washington BBB, and am in the process of telling anyone that would listen to stay away from Tippr. Looks like another scam deal site...
I suspect the positive comments are from trolls or Tippr employees themselves.
Only giving 1 star because I can't give a ZERO rating.
NEVER received my order! It's been MORE THAN 6 WEEKS! Took 2 emails and a week before I even received a response from customer service AND the response they sent didn't even answer my question! Like some sort of template they sent to a bunch of people.
STAY AWAY! No deal on their site is worth this amount of trouble! Worst experience ever!
I bought a deal for a pair of Ray Ban aviators and it turns out the sunglasses I got are fake! I can't believe they don't screen the quality of the products before selling them!
I will be asking for a full refund!
No customer service. Ordered sunglasses, still not delivered 5 weeks later and all attempts at contact have gone unanswered. STAY AWAY!
I ordered from them several times. The site is legit. All my deal codes worked. No complaints.
Answer: They are still in scamming business - yes - they sell, but do not ship anything! Do not buy
Answer: No bankrupt. Just name change scam. They do this just about every year when they screw people... they just change their name. We are working on looking into getting them involved in the Federal Trade Commission here in the United States. What have you got over there? Some sort of government organisation?
Answer: Contact the Retail Ombudsman. This is a new service and you can lodge your complaint with them online. If you paid for your items by credit card you should be able to claim the monies back via your card provider. Hope this helps.
Answer: As others have suggested here, ask your credit card company for a chargeback as soon as possible. Explain to your cc company that nCrowd is now in foreclosure and isn't selling any more goods or services. Therefore, any unused store credit or vouchers are now useless. I wouldn't bother to wait for nCrowd to resume selling deals again. You could also send your cc company the information about the foreclosure (see the link below) to support your claim. Also, your cc company will likely request proof (e.g., emails with the merchants or the names of the merchants you have spoken to on the phone) that the merchants were unwilling to honor the vouchers. I was able to get a chargeback by doing the above. Perhaps you could ask PayPal for assistance if you used it to purchase the nCrowd deal. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ncrowd-forecloses-leaves-trail-bad-taste-albert-s-bitton
Answer: Did you use a credit card to purchase?
Answer: Hi, My name is Carl and I'm a manager with nCrowd. I'm so sorry for the trouble you've experienced with your recent purchase. Please email me at [email protected] with as many details as you can provide about your purchase so I may look into the matter further. Thank you!
Answer: When I got the shaft from this company, I complained to the Better Business Bureau, and asked my state's Attorney General for help. Then nCrowd responded quickly.
Answer: Dear Kath, NCrowd went bankrupt and were taken over (or renamed themselves) BoomStreet. Boomstreet said they would send me a refund but never did. I and a number of others posted warnings on SiteJabber about BoomStreet but these were removed due to "lack of evidence". Now BoomStreet has gone bust after taking more money from people - see BoomStreet.co.uk. This means that small creditors are at the back of the que, don't hold your breath! I would discuss this with your credit card company, that's your best hope. Best Regards, David
Answer: I wish I could tell you, all I know is do not accept a credit to their site. Maybe complain to your credit card company regarding their fraud?
Answer: They are Boomstreet now. Filed bankruptcy and changed their name. That way, they can keep all of the money they have collected from buyers and not send the merchandise. Merchants that do send merchandise on behalf of newly named Boomstreet WILL NOT GET PAID. I recommend finding Boomstreet online and sending them relentless emails demanding your money back. Don't let them keep your hard earned money! Feel free to answer back with updates. Good luck!
