Ticktalk 5 watchband sucks

I have had to replace the watch band on both of my girls watches at about the year mark. With no after market or alternative options for a 25$ watchband im very disappointed and with the amount of reviews saying the same thing it will ba the last time I replace it before going to a different t watch. The watch and software are great though.

Replacement needed

We love the tick talk watch. We've had it for almost a year and the screen started to have a line on it, so we replaced it. I got the new one in the mail, and didn't specific instructions on replacing the watch. That's where it got super confusing. The SIM card I had from before wasn't working for whatever reason when I put it in the new watch. Over an hour went by and it was a Saturday so I couldn't call anyone. I wasn't able to screw the back to tighten the sim at all. Eventually I did and it still wouldn't work. I was able to pry it open and move it around and then it worked. There's no directions on which direction the sim should be facing beside that it goes down, which I had it. Once worked it was fine and it's up and running. Otherwise we love the watch. Sometimes the location is not accurate. It will show my son miles away from where he is. But eventually it does work. It's very clear sounding and easy to use for him. Most likely we will get one for our younger child when it's time. Just needed better clear cut instructions for replacement, and if problems happen.

Great for kids!

My son loves his watch, it's very easy to set up and fits perfectly on child's wrist. Tracks steps and has other neat features. It's very secure the only thing I didn't like was that once you add contacts to watch via app those contacts still have to download app to message. Might be a security feature. Aside from that my son is able to call me I can track his location and set time frames to avoid distractions at School.

Great Band

Band was just as expected. Took a long time to arrive, but also due to post office issues. Received and email about free replacement service then was told no they didn't offer that if it wasn't through warranty yet there is nothing on the website that says that when ordering a new band.

Good watch but could improve on GPS

So far we like the watch. My only major complaint is the accuracy of the GPS. It sometimes pins location either across street or somewhere 2 mins away from location. I really wish they could update that issue. Everything else has been good.

Great Customer Service!

Two of our TickTalk 4s quit charging and wasn't sure if the watches bricked our both bases quit. Either way it was strange for both to be not working, purchased approximately a year apart. Reached out and customer service sent two new charging cables for a small fee to start there. Turns out both charging cables had stopped working. Plugged new ones in and the phones started charging right away. Both watches are few years old as of this review and the issue started a few months ago. Maybe there was power surge or something, but it's fixed now! Thank you customer care!

Decent experience

The TickTock app is clunky and the watchbands are weak (I've needed to replace two sets in 9 months), but the product ultimately achieves the goals of communicating with my kids and knowing their whereabouts.

The SIM plate on the back of these watches appear to break easily. My daughter does not toss her watch or bang it on things - she's generally pretty cautious with it. But twice now, the watch has had an issue with the sim card cover plate breaking. More specifically, the track breaks that the SIM plate nests into. Twice this has happened, and TickTalk has fixed it without any further concerns; however, I don't want to have to send a watch in every 6 months for repairs.

Smooth, headache free exchange!

I purchase the TickTalk watch for my the. 3 year old back in march, when I initially turned it on there was a line across the screen, I reached out to support who immediately responded to my email and were eager to assist. Since then my daughters wristbands were ripped off at daycare and I didn't know what was covered under the warranty but I submitted my request and within days it was approved and then 7 days later the replacement arrived!
