We bought the tick talk for our 8 year old and we've had it for a few weeks now. The only issue we have encountered is that one day the screen froze and she was unable to use it. We had to force a reboot. It seemed to work fine after that. I do worry that this could happen when we are not with her and then she will not be able to contact her. Aside from this, we are happy with the purchase and so is our 8 year old.
We like it. Battery life could be improved significantly!
My grandson accidentally broke the face of his watch. It was well out of warranty so Tick Talk was able to provide a replacement at a reasonable cost in an expedited manner to get him back in operation. He loves it!
We bought the ticktalk 5 for our daughter who's about to turn 8. She goes to full day summer camp and likes to play in the neighborhood at friends houses. I love that it's a cellular plan like At&T and not some independent plan that not sure how it operates. The set up is great. My daughter loves it. I love there's no crazy games or internet. I love having the piece of mind and control from the parents app.
Battery life isn't as expected, but we do live in a rural area. Biggest issue is the watch band rubs my son's wrist arm irritates it.
I ordered the replacement band but unable to open the side screws on both sides. The YouTube link (How To Replace Your TickTalk 5 Watch Band)provided to remove the band requires a 1.5mm Hex Screwdriver 5.71. I purchased this hex screwdriver from a store, but I'm still unable to open the side screws. Could you please provide me the link of the Hex screwdriver used in the video to open the side screws.
The watch is so cute on my little boy and it's so easy to use for him! So thankful for it and it gives me a peace of mind for his upcoming school year. He's calling everyone on it lol The GPS is so accurate. I love it! Would recommend to everyone
My dog chewed up my son's watch band. I thought it would be as simple to replace it as it is to replace Apple watch bands. I was wrong. $30 for a replacement is absurd. And then I have to either go buy the tool to replace it or I have to send it back to have it fixed! Very inconvenient as a customer.
We really like the watch after getting it setup and using it. I did think setup was difficult though and instructions were not very detailed
