Better is still possible. I have ordered items from Amazon Germany and waited for 3 weeks instead of four business days (to US). It definitely spoiled the whole shopping experience. Nevertheless, it arrived in one piece and everything else was explained well form the myGermany team.
Sometimes, Amazon packages are not properly delivered and we need to intervene manually - which we have done here. Happy that you received it!

After buying a hobby rail way in Germany, I had to ship it to Australia. My Germany took care of the transport and the paperwork. The very sensible packaging process was very professional and everything arrived well protected in Australia. Well done!

Update 20/03/2024:
Per Chris's reply all issues have now been resolved as there was a misunderstanding as to what constituted a dangerous good. I have been assured by myGermany reps/management that they are working to correct this.
Therefore i am re-amending to 5 stars. All previously posted complaints were resolved when raised to management who to their credit apologised and expediently corrected for the mix-up. 2 weeks ago I received the consolidated shipment containing many individual parcels in perfect condition. Shipped via DHL Economy and received in 10 days which is quite fast for Germany to Australia. I was initially reluctant to restore the original 5 stars due to the copious back and forth emails but have done so for this review. Overall myGermany have proven to be a solid and good company that do deliver in the end. After 4 shipments I always receive everything in perfect condition and they do take customer complaints seriously.
Update 24/01/24:
Unfortunately more issues experienced recently with myGermany and therefore i am downgrading my initial review of 5 stars down to 3 stars. They appear unwilling to fix the issues and instead we are now engaged in a merry go round of back and forth emails. It is frustrating that every time I engage them to ship there are issues. Would have liked at least one smooth experience without overcharging on freight, declaring incorrect weight of goods etc. Will update review pending resolution. Fingers crossed that i don't have to downgrade to 1 star.

I've shipped with MyGermany 3 times now (regular shipping and freight) and overall the positives outweigh most minor issues.
Positives:
+Free consolidation
+Timely response to all emails
+Reasonable shipping costs
Issues (all resolved expediently and professionally):
- incorrect package weight calculation on receipt at warehouse which was corrected quickly
-some issues with communications in shipping freight costs but ultimately received the goods (expensive!) in excellent condition in the timeframe specified.
Deserved 5 stars as they generally go above and beyond.
Dangerous Good (DG) Items in the air are quite difficult. You were about to send lighters, which might be treated as DG as they are under pressure even with gas. We mark these things in your account and check the options (not every carrier can ship in each country such DG items). As you know we have soled it now:-) Thanks for your patience and support to figure this out...

Their online estimator grossly underestimated shipping charges, but you do not learn this until it is too late to return the item. Then they tell you that you can have a small discount by leaving positive online reviews. Their customer service is so slow that the process has dragged out now more than 6 months. I paid for door-to-door delivery and was afterwards advised that they would only deliver door-to-port and that I was responsible for additional delivery charges. When I complained they only responded after I left a bad review, and with vitriol. I paid for tracking and when I asked for an update on the status of the parcel, which was only tracked to Hamburg, they sent me a very rude email. Avoid dealing with these people. I have no confidence my item will arrive.

They quoted me a price for door-to-door delivery, which I paid. After I had paid they told me that a broker would handle the transport to my house from the port, and that would incur extra charges. Now they do not respond when I try to contest this. It has now been more than 4 months since I started trying to work with them, and I am still no closer to receiving the item that I bought in June!
MyGermany is the best service of its kind! I have been using their services for years and they always notify me on time of receiving packages, carefully consolidate and pack at my request and promptly ship to me! The best!

1st order, their website bugged and sent it to a wrong address.
It was cancelled but the shipping not refunded: how?
2nd order: stuck & confiscated by DHL (for no valid reason, they pretend my item was not authorized but I checked and it was): sorry we can't do anything.
Let's make a recap:
- 79€ for a cancelled order (which is illegal, based on customers rights)
- 209€ of parcel worth
- 109€ for the second shipping
=> 400€ lost.
They take your money but are "sorry they can't help", avoid at all costs.
We needed a painting shipped from Germany to USA (where we live). We were looking for a company that would take care of all the details in Europe: shipping from the auction house to myGermany warehouse and then to US. myGermany was a great choice! They helped us through the process and made it easy. We appreciate your help!
There were 3 big problems with myGermany:
1.
They declared that a small chest bag costs 500 euros, which is incorrect. I contacted *******@mygermany.com, and no response for **15 days**. Then I sent a second email, and Dora replied this:
"maybe you have not added the order but they are 2 different orders as from what I can see. Do you want me to check if they are complety different?"
It didn't make sense, so I explained the situation again; I didn't get a reply.
After that, I found that I could change the declared value in the app. The items did need to be rearranged, but I only changed the declared value.
2.
I received the package, and when I opened the box, I found that my expensive inflatable sleeping pad was punctured with a box cutter. It was a long cut. Luckily, I successfully taped it.

After all of this, I mistakenly bought items to my MyGermany address instead of my Mailboxde address, because I had it saved in my Amazon account. I wanted to return it, so I submitted a return request for the cheapest item to test the functionality. The item disappeared from my suite, but it didn't get returned, nor did I receive any message about it. With that option eliminated, I submitted a shipping request for other items to my home address. After a few days, MyGermyny (Dora) notified me that I had to pay more than double because it contained a special item. The previous time, the same item was successfully sent to my home address with valid special declarations, but it didn't cost that much.
I gave up on that and asked for a refund for the DHL delivery payment. MyGermany said that they had refunded it to my account. I didn't see it anywhere there. Then, I again asked them to refund it to the payment method I used (payment card via PayPay). Multiple days later, there was no response. After I submitted a PayPal complaint, MyGermany refunded it the same day.
Since they scam returning it and scam sending it to my home address, my items stayed with them.
