Goof Proof A Scam

No-one from Bob's Furniture or Guardian has given me the right details for me to make my claim online nor has anyone from Guardian picked up any call. The number just puts you through to very irritating music and the Director of Communication's recording periodically comes on to utter some nonsense about overwhelming call volumes. You never get to talk to anyone. I have been on hold for more than an hour as i work multiple times. Bob's is unhelpful. Does anyone know how I can get my Goof Proof money back and get my couches fixed by myself?

This GOOF PROOF SCAM must be exposed so no-one else buys it with their furniture. Also, the furniture itself is defunct and low quality. DO NOT SHOP BOB's FURNITURE ever for peace of mind.

We have called and been ignored, told it is not covered because it is just over a year old, bad workmanship,
Have the goof proof insurance, waste of money, doesn't cover bad workmanship. I have loaded receipt without our name address and phone number. Bad workmanship is not covered!

I am kicking myself I didn't check this site out first.
Bob's discount is not a nice place to go. The furniture is discount for a reason.
Sometimes DISCOUNT ends up costing you more.

Bad don't do it

In the store, I was told that they would take away everything and show me how everything worked with the white glove delivery. When they got here they said they did not take away bed frames, and that I was to have everything ready for them. They put the bed together, and used the remote controls, Did not show me how they worked. They left two boxes, I said what about them they said that is for your headboard if you want to use it. I opened the boxes and there weren't any instructions inside. They were polite enough. But the white glove was more of a fast in and out glove. I would think that I would have gotten better service for spending almost $6,000.00 You need to work on the white glove delivery, A LOT

I would like to take this time to warn other shoppers who may be thinking of making a purchase from Bob's Discount Furniture, please take into consideration my review as well as the other reviews because I wish I had known this before my purchase. The first red flag was the length of time for delivery, it took about six months to get my reclining sofa and another two months for the matching chair. Soon after I noticed the stitching was coming apart and the quality is not worth the amount of money I paid. I then cancelled a bar set that had yet to arrive but it still showed up on my account as pending with Fortiva. Speaking of Fortiva, I was enticed by the promotion of no finance charges for one year so I could get the furniture and make small payments then pay it all off before the promo expired. That was a huge mistake, I never really felt as though my payments were reducing the overall balance remaining, so I called to be sure I was not being charged for my cancelled order. Overall, I feel cheated! As though I spent so much money on furniture that is poor quality and less than one year later it shows wear and tear. This is not acceptable so please do yourself a favor and do not shop here. For the same amount you can buy quality from The Room Place, VCF, or anywhere but Bob's.

After waiting for months for our new couch and loveseat to be delivered the fight began... They delivered the couch with huge rips. My husband told them we will not accept the couch because the store's policy is if you do you cannot return it. While he was on the phone in the dining room the delivery guys continued putting the couch together and took off. My husband ran down the driveway to stop them just to be cussed at. Then we waited again because the delivery people didn't want to deliver here because they were scared of my husband? What? The next couch finally came and after 2 months it is already shredding and sinking to were you feel the bars. They offered us... a $100.00 dollar in store credit... so disappointed.

Living room set
February 9, 2022

I purchased a living room set a year ago from Bob's. My husband and I are 65 years old and have no children living at home. The set is not holding up. It has pricking on fabric and is bunching up. I am very disappointed. I called Bob's and they said since it was just over a year, they would do nothing. I will never buy again from them and will NOT recommend them. They should at least come out and see it and either give me a refund or discount on new set. Very frustrating that they don't stand by their products.

BUYER BEWARE

The sales people are friendly, that's literally the only positive thing I can say.
The quality of the furniture is beyond scraping the bottom of the barrel, even with the pricey furniture. Our first set was in January 2021, the delivery staff claimed the furniture was too large to fit through the frame, only after dropping the loveseat on our driveway and leave wood debris all over it. By the way, this was caught on our ring doorbell. They then placed both sets in our garage. My husband and father in law had to bring it in, with ease, SURPRISE it fit through the door without any problem. About 7 months in the leather started peeling up in large strips, and even though we purchased the warranty "leather peeling" was not covered. We then had to go through the manufacturer's warranty in order to get a store credit to reselect our couches. We were given a delivery date in mid January, only to have our delivery rescheduled three more times.
This company will only acknowledge "mass delivery delay" complaints and not take ownership over the fact that they provide cheap service to the people who pay their hard earned money on their products.
We were given a small refund for our delay in the form of a store credit, that I will unfortunately have to use at their store. After two absolutely horrific experiences with this place, I can only look forward to never stepping foot in their store again.
Hopefully this next set, whenever it actually arrives, holds up longer than the first. I have very low expectations and wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this company.

Customer service poor

Bought our recliner chair a 1yr 5 months ago. We bought Goof Proof protection. I am the goof for wasting my money on it. The chair stopped working so we contacted the service department. After paying $85 ( extra) for the service call, it was discovered that the transformer went bad. Apparently our chair has been discontinued and the part is unavailable until 2-1/2months. They offered 50% off (my)cost of the part, so For another $25 my chair would be working in two months time for a total additional cost of $110. I bought the part on line for $11 - my chair will be working in 3 days. No more purchases for us from Bobs.

Poor customer service and communications

We ordered a recliner on December 8,2021 and were told it would arrive January 7, January 5,2022 we received an email that it would be delayed until the first week of April 2022. We would be out of town for several weeks starting in April so we asked if we could have the floor model and were told "we never sell the floor model". One week later we received an email that the recliner wouldn't be available until October 2024! When we went into the store, we were told that means the item has been discontinued and some one should have called us! The floor model was not there, so we asked where it was because we would take it. They stated they sold it YESTERDAY!
Our sales person Ed was very nice during the sales but never followed up with anything. We got our payment back (it was prepaid). We will never buy anything there again. We went to Ashley Home Furnishings and found a nearly exactly the same recliner and ordered it along with a bedroom dresser. We were told the recliner could be delivered in two days but the dresser would take about 2 weeks to arrive. To our pleasant surprise both were delivered in 2 days! That is customer service.

Never buy from bobs

Bought a recliner from bobs for our baby room brought it home wife and me sat to feed the baby a couple times found bit marks on our bodies started looking found bed bugs in the recliner called the exterminators they came in did a whole house inspection made a verdict that the bed bugs came from the chair tried to call bobs they did not want to hear it and did not want to do anything to help

Horrible in Every Way

I just had the Tremont Full Espresso Bed delivered to my home yesterday and I'm extremely unhappy with it. After the delivery person who put it together for me left, I immediately noticed that the bed was wobbling back and forth and side to side. When I slept on it that night the problem was even worse. The bed provides a horribly unacceptable level of support to my mattress and I woke up with a stiff neck and sore back.

The headboard wobbles back and forth as does the entire bed even when you move around very slightly while sleeping because the brackets that are supposed to hold the bed together are weak, too small, and there are not enough of them.

Horrible customer service & communication.
We purchased a sofa last year & it was delivered on time. Damaged but they said they would follow up and send someone to fix the fabric falling off the botttom of the sofa. Needless to say that never happened.
The prices were good, so we made the decision to purchase another side from them.
The old saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
They got the delivery address wrong & were a minute down the road at the wrong house. They called and asked where we were. I said we were at the house waiting for them at the correct address.
They said it would put them off schedule for their next delivery. Even though it was their fault. Their supervisor said they made the wrong decision & that they should have taken the extra couples of minutes & delivered the sofa. She apologized & said that they would bring it back the next day.
Later that evening, another supervisor called and said that our sofa was going to the next person in line & that our sofa would be delivered hopefully in the next month, but couldn't garuntee that to be true.
We are now sitting in limbo waiting on this dysfunctional company to figure out how to get a sofa to us.
Not to mention I had to take the day off to accept the "white glove delivery".
Save yourself time and money.
Save yourself the time, money and frustration. Shop somewhere else.

I bought the Pacifica reclining sectional. I also bought the goof proof warrenty. I purchased it last year in August was promised I would get it in October but didn't get it until November. Ok I could live with that. I'm actually pretty happy with my couch it looks nice and after a year it has held up well. At least until right before this Thanksgiving one of the recliners stop working and wouldn't open no problem right? I bought the extended warranty so I figure let's get through the holidays and then I will call I had almost 4 years left on it! Now it's less than a week before Christmas I walk into the living room and my recliner had opened on it's own now it won't close so I call bobs they tell me my warranty doesn't cover this. That it only covers accidents not faulty equipment. Only the original year warranty covers this which might have been good if I had called in November. So unless I accidentally break the motor it's not covered tell me how do you accidently break a motor anyway. They obviously do not care about return business I'm shopping for a dining room set which I will no longer be getting there! The goof proof warrenty is misleading don't buy it waste of money!

Poor customer service!

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, we paid cash for a couch and love seat recliner set and an electric fireplace and purchased the goof proof warranty. We bought the couches August 22nd and were told it would deliver Sept. 14th but didn't arrive until Oct. 1, after they left we noticed one of the recliners didn't work correctly due to a bent frame. They sent a technician to inspect it and he ordered the part Oct. 8, and also noticed a cut in the love seat and ordered that as well, after two months without a word I called customer service and was told it was here and I would be scheduled for that weekend. No one came or contacted us so I called back and was told they it has to be shipped to my house, two weeks passed and I called again, I've been told they don't know where it is and will have to be reordered, might be here in Feb! I had to cancel the fireplace because they moved the delivery from Nov. To Feb. 2022 and I have no idea when the new loveseat will arrive. I also had a problem with language, only two of the five customer service associates I talked to spoke English well enough to understand the problem, sort through it and explain what happened.
I no longer recommend Bob's furniture because they have failed to keep their promises at every turn and I believe that the customer care dept. has actually lied to me. Things happen... I get that, it is however how they have handled this that is wrong and I do not believe it's all an accident.

Customer service sucks

I bought over $3000 in furniture from bobs furniture and I was made aware that it wasn't available for delivery till at first till December. Than it was pushed back till January but I always made it known that I didn't want my shipment (couches) split or delivered separately.

On Wednesday I received noticed that my furniture was going to be delivered on Friday and I made the mistake thinking Bobs furniture would listen to my wishes but they didn't. I now have miss match furniture and know my couches will ware down differently since now the other part is scheduled in Feb. How is it so hard for bobs furniture to follow simple instructions and deliver it together.

When I called to complain there is nothing that can be done. Bobs has forced us to take a partial delivery. Now my furniture is miss matched. The only thing the gentleman on the phone could say is try and enjoy your furniture. They where afraid that when the live seat was available the couch would no long be available. Well if that was the case we could have switched to a different set. Now we can no longer make that decision and it has been forced on us. This will be my last time shopping with bobs and will move on to a company that values their customers wishes.

Dream couch

Spent over $3,000.00 on a six piece dream couch. The cushions are terrible and uncomfortable. You can feel the wood frame when trying to relax on it. This is NOT worth the money. Look elsewhere. Trust me

The furniture we bought 6 months love seat is not what we purchased when we sat on it at Bobsdisount Nov, MIchigan. Where this was made Korea, China the seat is hard and there is no padding for support.
Bob's discount would not work with us and we were never told we had 3 days to return the product. WHY WOULD YOU SAY 3 DAYS AFTER. PURCHASE, WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE HOW CAN WE TELL IF WE LIKE IT OR NOT. Horrible experience will never buy from them again...

Mistake on delivery

There was a misog product I got the wrong sofa. The worst service to fix the problem. They didn't want to listen to my dide. Iam stuck with tBle I didn't want now. No refund even tho it was mutual fault. I have to buy something else because they will not take it back. Now granted called them same day of delivery. Not like I kept the purchase weeks before letting them know. They kept repeating same thing like a broken record. Didnt care anything about how frustrated or sad I was. That's athousand dollars that I don't have. It's the holidays. I need a dining table. They don't have what I like until Feb. I have company in December. It's been horrible year and a half now this tipps it over. They ruined my holiday. Made mesob on the phone. And no solution like iam just a number.
Just for the way they treated me I will never recommend them nor ever buy another item from them if my life depends on it

Warranty is a Scam

I furnished my living room with Bob's furniture. I noticed one side of a chair I bought was not right. Accidentally vacuum cord got hooked on it and pulled it away. Reported it and they said it's not covered… false marketing and advertising. DO NOT FALL FOR WARRANTY FALSE CLAIMS
