This is a review to warn everyone who shops at Bobs Furniture. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS BE VERY CAREFULL! Please Read Carefully!
I have given business and bought a lot of furniture's from Bobs for many years and I have learnt the hard way not to buy their extended warranty (goof proof), its all a scam and the biggest rip off! They say that its hassle and tension free extended warranty, just in case anything happens to your furniture or bedding that you buy from them, you will have peace of mind and they will fix/repair or replace it. ITS ALL FALSE!
They also have memory foam mattress that they say, has "20 year, no questions asked warranty", just like the tempur-pedic but that's not even true and they say if you buy the mattress protector you will get additional protection warranty, THATS ALSO A TOTAL LIE AND FALSE! I have a memory foam mattress that I bought from them in 2009 and it is not supporting our backs currently, we have frequent back aches when we wake up lately, we also feel the shake now when the partner moves on the mattress, we informed Bobs about the problem and they send a technician to checkout our memory foam mattress, after checking, the technician gave the report that nothing is wrong with the memory foam and it doesn't look like there is a curve on the mattress. Its a memory foam which retains its shape, even if its gone a bit bad, when not being used and only the people sleeping on it will know if its gone bad because they can feel it on their body/back, just by looking at it you will never know if the memory foam has lost the support. I was very disappointed and tried to speak to their supervisor and they were sticking by their technicians report and till date we are suffering from back pain and they will not exchange our memory foam mattress nor replace it with a new one, where as, its still under the 20 year warranty. So you see that Bobs lies when it comes to any warranty they say they have. Hope this review will help everyone to be more careful when shopping with Bobs. DONT BUY ANY WARRANTY (Goof Proof) FROM THEM, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY!
We purchased a living room and dining room set from Bob's in August 2014. The salesman really talked up the Goof Proof plan. We were told it covered everything, accident or not. It was an additional fee and covered 5 years. One of the many things we were told specifically it covered were the couch cushions wear over time. I have relatives with couches over 10 years old, that are in great shape. My less than 2 year old couch looks horrible. The cushions are completely sunk in making the material look bubbled. I called to get my cushions re-stuffed (as promised by the salesman). Apparently that is just a gimmick to sell the warranty. I was told they don't cover wear and tear. I guess I need to accidently destroy the couch to see if they will cover that? Unfortunately, I don't have faith that they would. A could hundred dollars wasted.
I'm referring to Bob's Discount Furniture. We went to the store in Delaware to buy an adjustable bed, found one we wanted and the salesman wrote it up. So far, so good. THEN, the manager came over and that all changed. We had told the salesperson we didn't want to purchase their over priced mattress covers as I wanted to buy our own better ones. The manager had a HUGE problem with that and proceeded to attempt to force it on us! After I said no and he left he came back AGAIN to try to force the issue. He was VERY rude, unprofessional and pushy. Not sure what his name was but he was middle eastern and obviously not accustomed with dealing with American women.
I bought furniture in North Plainfield on Route 22 at Mybobs. It was one of the worst decisions I made. The service was horrible and my furniture was chipped. One couch had a rip in the leather and when they delivered a new couch to my home it was in worse shape than the original one. This "new" couch had a larger tear with stuffing and wood chips coming out. Now, my other couch has a broken zipper on the cushion which unfortunately means I will have to deal with the worst furniture place ever, yet again. Lesson learned, I will never buy my furniture from Mybobs ever again. Instead I will spend the money on quality furniture at a better quality furniture store.
It was great ordering from the website and the delivery was made on time considering the size of the furniture i had ordered. Although i was a bit wary in the beginning considering i was ordering from them for the first time but it has been a great experience since i got worth for each penny that i have spent.

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
