We ordered our furniture and needed a afternoon delivery. Their customer service has no control of delivery, nor is there any option to request a time frame. They give you your time, regardless of what you need. Then to call is a joke. It takes them 2 hours to return the call, only to tell you, you're out of luck. You can request a time frame, through them, and hope it works out. And the online tracker didn't have my order. I couldn't see it, they couldn't see it. Save your sanity and order from a more reputable store.

I called and they sent a "technician" to investigate. He said it was not a manufactures defect so they are doing anything about it.
The chair was not even 3 month when it feel apart. It is a swivel recliner that you have to pull on the lever to set back wards. It is also on a metal circle frame that collapsed. When I pulled the lever back it collapsed the sudden movement caused the circular frame under to completely fail.
The fabric ripped because it hit the wall in a sudden movement.
I called customer service and they said the technician said it is not due to manufacture defect. Clearly it is.
There is no reason that a chair should collapse while a person is using the lever to recline, UNLESS there is a factory defeat.
They refused to admit that it is. So I asked, " what caused it to fail?" They repeated only it is not a manufacture defeat.

This is my first time buying a mattress, walking in the store I didn't feel pressured, you have the whole store to yourself, to check out the store and test out different mattresses, they have a coffee station, ice cream bar free cookies and candy. They have a clearance/outlet center-which requires same day pick up. Walking around, the items from the floor the items get cheaper the longer they store on the floor. I ended up buying a twin mattress set with a plush topping from the main floor, they gave me two weeks for delivery. Overall, I am quite pleased about this purchase!

Furniture paid in full and in the day of delivery I get a call that the price to the bed is not available... Then I get a call from the dri er telling it doesn't make sense to deliver the bed because of the missing piece... Then the notes stared thst I refused delivery... Stay away from this place. No bed and now I ha e to wait 4wks for a delivery... Meanwhile no bed. Horrible

Purchased a bedroom set. It was a painless and easy experience. Sales rep Albert and Shamieca were terrific. Not the first purchase from bob's. They resolved any issues we had in the past. Reliable and honest company. Was told nby sales rep to check furniture carefully when delivered and to refuse any item tnot to our satisfaction.

My fiancee (now wife) and I purchased a bedroom set through Bob's website in early August, shortly after purchasing our home, and also paid the $109 delivery and assembly fee. It took no less than 4 delivery attempts by Bob's in order to completely deliver the entire bedroom set. The first delivery featured missing side rails and a broken dresser. The second delivery featured a broken foot board, and missing side rails once again. The third delivery was supposed to occur on a weekday between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. This delivery did not occur until 9:15 P.M., apparently due to a broken down delivery truck. Bob's did not bother to contact me whatsoever regarding their tardiness. When I called to ask when I should expect my delivery, I was only then notified that there was a delay, and was assured that my delivery would be made no later than 6:45 P.M. that night. Again, the delivery people did not show up until 9:15 P.M., and had no clue that they were to assemble the bed for us. Once again, the foot board was broken, and the bed could not be set up. They were not able to get another foot board in and deliver it until the following week, which happened to be the week of our wedding. We were not available to be there due to our wedding, so we had to make arrangements with neighbors to be there for the delivery. This time, everything was in good enough condition and was assembled. During this entire process, my wife and I each had to take days off from work in order to be at our house for deliveries that were botched or were much later than anticipated, as well as were inconvenienced on many occasions(I was living an hour away from where we purchased our home and waited for the furniture to be delivered). We were not able to stay in our new home because we did not have a bed to sleep in, and had to worry about all of this when we should have been celebrating our wedding. When I contacted Bob's for compensation, I was offered a $25 gift card, and then finally offered to have the delivery fees refunded. In my opinion, I do not believe this compensation is sufficient for all of the inconveniences that occurred, nor do I believe that customer service did anything to rectify the situation. Customer service was extremely lacking, especially when I spoke with the corporate office, where I was essentially told too bad, deal with it this is the best we can do. I will never purchase another item from Bob's, nor will I recommend others step foot inside of a Bob's store. The whole process was a complete and utter nightmare.

Purchased couch, love seat and matching leather chair.
Delivered as promised but love seat was missing four center support legs. Delivery team also left a mess outside my home. I discovered problem minutes after delivery truck left. When a person sat on the love seat the frame bowed downward toward the floor. Store could not communicate with truck and they mailed two support legs weeks later. Manager of Union store determined love seat should be replaced.
Replacement love seat arrives weeks later. Delivery team # 2 does a good job installs all four support legs and L brackets supplied with love seat. Team # 2 also inspects couch and chair. They advise L brackets are missing on couch and single recliner. This is reported but problem never addressed. Team # 2 leaves.
After sitting on love seat we discover recliner feature on love seat # 2 does not function properly. Store notified. Repairman arrives weeks later. Within a minute it is determined it is "a manufacturer problem" and love seat # 2 needs to be replaced.
Weeks later love seat # 3 arrives. It is discovered in driveway that love seat # 3 damaged. Torn leather. Delivery not accepted.
At this point I ask that Bob's take back entire set and refund my money. Bob's agree to refund but pick up date has to be a week later.
Pick up team arrives: They do not have tools needed to remove legs so furniture can fit
Out the door. I had to supply tools to remove legs.
When they attempted to remove couch legs it was discovered that one leg was cross threaded when it was installed. It was not fully tight and could not be removed.
Removal team scratches hardwood floor and puts a one inch notch in my front door.
Happy day all Bob's furniture returned.
They requested my credit card number the day before pickup and said I would be given a full refund on my credit card as soon as the furniture was on the truck.
When I called the store they now state it will be five business days before the refund is posted. So far two days no refund and credit card company reports no posting of refund.

Incomplete

I purchased a bedroom set late July (complete bed frame, dresser w/mirror, chest, nightstand). The day the furniture was delivered it was missing drawer handles. I called the store before the delivery team left & was told I had to make a claim w/customer service. I took that action the same day & was told the handles have to be mailed out & to expect them within the next couple of days. Mid-August came & I still had no handles, the drawers are not able to be used without the handles. Customer service then tells me (mid-August) that the handles are not in stock, but that it shows they will be in mid-September. She personally told me she would call by the 15th of September to confirm they were being shipped. As of today 9/21, I have not received them & am now being told to wait to mid-November.

I've dealt with several furniture stores & have NEVER had anything like this happen. Nor have I experienced a company not willing to rectify the issue some type of way. November means 4 months without being able to fully use my furniture.

Earlier this year my daughter and I were shopping for new living room furniture. And despite the bad experience we had with Value City's furniture in the past (ALL of our furniture from them fell apart under 3 years), we decided to check them out again only because they have a lot if beautiful furniture; however, it's a true saying "all that glitters isn't gold." So we did find what we were looking for at Value City and we're prepared to make a purchase, however, the customer service was so poor that we made the decision to leave the store, along with the sectional sofa that we had fallen in love with. After leaving VC, we just happened to come up on Bob's Discount Furniture in Calumet City. So we thought we'd give them a try. To our delight, we not only found the identical sectional, but we had more colors to choose from and we got a pullout bed with a special memory mattress, not to mention their goof-proof policy, which means that they stand behind their products. The best part about all of this is that we got it all at a better price than the other store! In addition to all of that, was the amazing customer service. The sales people are friendly and helpful, but they don't crowd you. They make it their business to make you happy. I love the atmosphere that they create. Shopping at Bob's Discount Furniture is more than just shopping, but an experience. A shout out to Eric and his team, including Rodger and Zo, who are doing a fantastic job.

Get what you pay for

Pais 599 for sofa and love seat should have known better because you get what you pay for set is 4 months old and cushions are already showing major signs of wear they are sll flatten out id never go there again set is definitely not gonna last go somewhere else and save your buying 2 sets in a short period of time ive never written a review before for furniture but thought i had too this time

Been dealing with them for 6 years now and 5 sets later still having the same problems... Even when you purchase the goof proof it just Doesn't matter they always have a excuse for their poor quality furniture! And Nasty Customer Service. They act like their giving you furniture for free... Never ever will i buy anything from them again and i will let it be known to all not to shop their! They will not give you your money back of exchange their damage furniture! Normal wear and tear in 6 months? I think Not! Small Claims Court I guess is the way we need to go! BUYER BEWARE! SAVE YOUSELF A HEADACHE! They make me sick!

I have been a Bob's furniture customer for years and you would think I learned my lesson. We I didn't! I guess you get what you pay for.
Less the 8 months ago I purchased a dining room set and it was just problems since day one. The day of the delivery the 2 men that did the delivery left my things in the garage because one of their employees had a hurt back. Why would you even send someone who can't do their job for this service. My husband had to come home form work and bring the table set upstairs and set and assemble it. Mind you we paid for this! We called and we did explain and we did get a refund. Ok nice.
About 3 months ago we found that the table top was leaving strikes and paint was coming off every time we cleaned it. I tried every thing to clean the top with the same result. While cleaning we found that the edge of the table was splitting. I called the goof proof that I purchased and he "repaired" it. It is so noticeable and a S****** job! Just this pass 2 weeks we notice that the table had two big bubbles. I called Bob's because I just have had enough. I was given the manufacture email to send some picture and they said it was water damage and if I had goof proof to call them and tell them about the accident. Basically telling them a lie! There no accident! We don't use the table much and I have had all this happen. I went to Bob's store where I purchased the table and the general manager helped me get a number to see if they can further assist me. I called and had a tech come out. The tech was rude from the beginning saying he doesn't do this kind of work and there was nothing he can do because there is water damage. Like how is it water damage. The bubbles are in two different spots and if that was the case it would be all in the same dame area. Who in this world would buy a table to cover it up! That was his suggestion! Mind you if I wanted to I will call goof proof and claim it was damage and issue resolved. But the moral of the story is Bob's has bad service and buying insurance is a scam. I should have known this because this has happened before. Oh and when I spoke with the lady today she told me I should have gotten a care kit for purchasing the goof proof insurance. Really was I now. I will like to know where that kit is and maybe I wouldn't have to be dealing with all this mess! Now i'm left $2,700 short with a table that is an eye soar to look at! You better believe I will not let this happen to me ever again!

If you're thinking about buying furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture, save yourself the trip and just set your money on fire. I spent thousands of dollars on a couch and a Bobopedic mattress. The couch had a 5 year warranty and the mattress a 20 year warranty. I should have walked out the door when the salesman warned me about them basically never honoring the warranty. The couch fell apart almost immediately. Within 6 months it was trash. I blamed my rough family and did not go through the warranty for replacement as I'm not looking to get anything for free. Now the mattress, was fine until we were moving. It literally fell apart trying to move it. So they send a tech out to inspect. According to Bob's, the mattress disintegrated while moving solely due to a stain. They refused to repair or replace my $1,300 mattress. I'm absolutely disgusted by their shady business. They are nothing but SCAM ARTISTS. If I had googled the reviews prior to purchase, I would have never walked into their show room. Judging by the other reviews, I assume a class action lawsuit has already been filed but if it hasn't, I will be taking the steps necessary to make sure no one else is ripped off by this garbage company.

I would just like to give a heads up to anyone who might want to spend their hard earned money on Bob's Discount Furniture. My suggestion, unfortunately, is to go somewhere else. I recently found a great apartment and decided I wanted to get all new furniture. I walked into Bob's and the sales rep that helped me out was knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction. Everything was smooth sailing until Bob's received my money. Upon the day of delivery the 2 gentleman informed me that my order was missing all the hardware required for assembly. Ok no big deal these things happen. You'd assume this would be taken care of right away right? Afraid not. I knew it had nothing to do with the delivery guys they were very apologetic and I know they dont pack up the boxes, they are just given a list of jobs to do. When I got on the phone with the representative I was told that nothing could be done until the following Thursday, POSSIBLY Wednesday. I asked if I could just take a ride somewhere and retrieve the hardware myself and I'll put it together since they dropped the ball. I was informed that it would be a lot easier for Bob's if they just continued the delivery and assembly next week. I placed my order with Bob's a week ahead of time and after a long week of working nights I was literally dreaming about the bed that I had spent almost $2500 on. If i hadn't already donated my previous bed the day before I would have denied the service all together as this was one of the worst customer services experiences I've ever encountered. Not the delivery men, not the representative, their hands were tied and I understand that. It was evident that Bob's policy is to fix their screw ups when it fits their schedule. Well my $2500 mattress is still wrapped in plastic on the floor of my bedroom and will stay that way until Bob's can fit me into their schedule. I already paid so I imagine I am not the top priority at the moment. I'm hardly ever one to complain because I understand mistakes happen. But when mistakes happen a professional business will do everything they can to make sure a paying customer is accommodated as quickly as possible. For Bob's, the answer is sleep on the floor until we get to you. I heard great things about this company but first impressions last forever and my business will be directed elsewhere in the future.

I just wanted to acknowledge and thank Ed for his knowledgeable help and honesty. I bought a large jewelry case off the floor. He immediately knew that it was the last one available. He told me that it would be ready for pickup the next day and it would be bubbled wrapped for protection. I showed up when the store opened and the case was perfectly wrapped and ready to go. What made this experience so positive for me, was the fact that this was Eds day off, and he made sure that my item was ready for pickup even thought he wasnt there that day. I would definitely ask for again if I returned to BObs. He really made it a positive experience.

Bobs made my disabled son wait 1 month to replace a faulty motor on the Bobs Low Rider mattress mechanism. PLUS they charged us $60.00 for this new part! As well. If they treat disabled people so uncaringly... dont expect any quick responses! They gave us the complete runaround... telling this boring story to 50 people whom all seemed like it was their first day at work for Bobs! What the Hell? Is Bobs so desperate for money... he has to charge us customers $60.00 for a part that shouldve still been under warranty. The whole bed and mechanism for the mattress was purchase Sep. 2017!,, Now in May 2018, the mechanism broke down, putting my sons health at risk, since he is on a breathing vent. However, Bobs Did NOT care of our horrible situation. Instead they wanted $60.00 for new part AND made us wait 4 wks. To REPLACE it,! Thats VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE WILL NEVER SHOP BOBS AGAIN! And we will pass the bad word on...

Non helpful stuff. So poor quality furniture. If you try to tighten the table leg using allen key the bolt will crack the leg and you will see how the wood is like sponge

I've never been so pissed off in my life. Bob's furniture gave me a time frame from 345 to 745 they didn't show up at my house until 9pm... On top of that they were at the wrong house but they couldn't understand me because they didn't speak a lick of English. They kept asking if I wanted a different delivery day... No I've been home all $#*!ing day waiting for you guys. And I can see your damn truck they were awful never again will I ever go to Bob's
