Once again the delivery drivers lied and said they came to my house but didn't. The tracker said should arrive by two, was home at 1, kept checking for it to say "its on its way"... checked again to my surprise it said un able to complete delivery. WHAT? Im at home waiting patiently missing work for some lazy delivery drivers. Now I got to wait another week with no furniture. After I pay my bobs card im tossing it in the trash...
I already have a dining room set and sofa from bobs and was a fan, but not anymore. I ordered a bedroom set, bed came with a broken drawer for the storage platform, cracked nightstand. The delivery drivers put the bed together wrong and the good night stand with the drawers constantly sliding open. He told us that it would fix when we put clothes in it. When we asked him to fix the bed and he said the new delivery drivers would fix it since they had to come back with the new nightstand, mirror and broken drawer for the storage bed. Then he said he called to ensure a ticket would be put and we would get a call. Hours later, no call, I called and bobs has no idea about any of this
When we did get the delivery - THAT crew: NOEL was A+ fixed everything in 30 minutes, restored some faith in bobs.
So we ordered an additional chest to arrive 8/27 not eligible for delivery, we figured we could get a truck to pick it up.
I got a call late Friday 8/23 that is had been there since 8/20 and if I don't pick it up by Sunday, it will be sent back. WHAT? Why wasn't I called Tues, Wed, Thurs?!?!?!? Who does business like this?
I show up Sunday, AFTER I THREW OUT MY CURRENT DRESSER... Guess what? They ordered the wrong dresser. So now I must wait until 9/20 to get it. I'm thinking Ashley's might be where I should go next.

I ordered a mattress Queen they gave me a full I bought a 1200 table they brought to my house with a crack. They take forever to deliver told me I had to wait months for a new mattress do not go to them they suck
I purchased an adjustable bed for my 78 year old mother 18 months ago who is disabled!
Bobs sales person did not give me a customer # when the purchase was made.(not my fault) Now they conveniently cant find a record of my purchase and are refusing to sent service out to fix the bed that has a headboard at 90 degree angle. Basically too bad. Should have kept your slip! Cant help you! Never buy anything from this store they take your money and your on your own!
3 months ago i purchased a dinning table and it came with defects. We have had to return the table 3 times. Finally i asked for a refund and the company refused. Bob's stores furniture only gives store credit. We took the credit and purchased another more expensive dinning table. Bob's was supposed to inspect it and then deliver it. When we received the new table, our fourth table delivery, it also had defects. 2 chairs were not leveled and 2 others were badly scuffed. One other had a screw thru the frame. They still refuse to give refunds. I will never purchase from there.
Bought mattress and box spring in March. Box spring defective. Bob's wanted to charge me to deliver replacement. I cancelled order. They have jerked me around ever since and it's July and I still have not received my refund. Even credit card company, who interceded, has had difficulty. Beware! The absolute worst service I've ever had. This has taken hours and hours. Also, they huck a $100 mattress cover that is junk. I've had 2 friends who bought them. They don't even stay on mattress. They creep off. And $100! I bought better box spring for $50 less at Bernie and Phyl's and got free 2-day delivery. Save yourself money and a lot of time - go elsewhere.
I bought a coffee table, tv console and an end table. First shipment came damaged. Service guy called. Not able to fix. Second shipment comes - damaged even worse. I wanted a refund, denied.
At this point I didn't want to get another total crap delivery, so I had to go back to the store and pick something else. I ended up picking up something I didn't really want and paid more money for it. Today visit number 4 from Bob's, delivery of set I didn't really want. Again damaged! They force you to take another piece of the same furniture - no refund. I've wasted 4 days waiting for these guys and there's more to come. I am posting everywhere I can, not to go to Bob's. I want my money back!
They did not meet one of their Delivery expectations. They arrived way before the time window, they broke a picture in my home, they did not fully unpack product, the product did not function and I had to have a repair man come out to fix it. This could have been avoided had they waited while I inspected the product. They delivered and left didn't even have me sign for it. They refused to put the product where I requested saying it would not fit. I moved it to those places once they left. This cost me over $300 for their "White Glove Delivery". They offered me a $100 gift card, as if I would shop their again. If I could give this a zero I would. They only want your money, don't care about the customer or their experience.
I purchased a couch and loveseat from Bob's on May10,2019, paid cash. I was told the furniture was on back order, after I paid my money, and would have to wait a few weeks for delivery. A few weeks later I was told my furniture would be delivered on June 20th, over a month later. I received a call on June 18th stating that the loveseat still was not available and now I would have to wait another 2 weeks. This is ridiculous, and I took off of work to be available to have this furniture delivered. I'm so frustrated I'm just ready to get my money back and go somewhere else. Really pissed off
Customer service is a joke. They want to transfer me to the main number, only to be hung up on, the emails they send have the incorrect number on the bottom anyway. I am quite certain the King pillow top bed I have in my home from them, which btw is the second bed they sent... is not the bed I paid for and picked out in the store.
I was told that they would reimburse me 1/2 of the 2nd delivery fee. $155. I'm still waiting.
I spent over $3k in the store, and have had nothing but issues since.
Never again will I shop there, I would have gladly spent the extra few $$s and got the actual furniture I ordered, and service worth paying for at another establishment.

I purchased a couch which had never ending issues. Firstly, one of the side frames broke. I had purchased the good proof service so I told them about the issue. After so much hassling, they finally came and replaced that piece. Then it happened again. They said the piece was discontinued at the store. I called the claims department and they had me send them pictures and all and then say it is not covered as the manufacture warranty is over. I have the goof proof service for yet another 2 years to come. But they refuse to cover the broken frame again. Do not buy their cheap furniture as it won't last a year and they never honor their goof proof service. Go somewhere else. Its not worth it!
I purchased a bed set from bobs furniture in 2017 and it's now 2019. After moving my bed screws started to come out and and the bed set started to collapse after having a tech come and fix the problem by just putting screws back into place, same thing happen again. They are so quick to take money but when you have warranty on your item they don't want to replace it, they do a half $#*! job fixing it. Don't buy nothing from this place not worth your money. Items don't last. Your better off buying your fitting from rent a center at least their products last. If I could give this a negative I would
They are awful. There is a huge difference between what they say and what they do. It's easy to pay but hard to get your furniture. Avoid them!
The in store experience was fine. I purchased the goof proof plan and I was told it covers everything but it doesn't and when I asked Bob's to come look at it it was denied because its not a manufacturer defect. So I asked what am I supposed to do they told me to buy a new piece I will never make another purchase from this chain ever again rude condescending customer service. When I said I was not satisfied and asked to talk to a supervisor I was told no! Same thing with guardian who handles their goof proof plan no help and very rude! I said since you do not cover everything I want my money back and she told me they would give me a prorated refund! But they didn't fix anything. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else
Bobs store is a sham! They sell fake copy furnitures. Bought a bobopedic And was told it's just like the Tempur-pedic. Which was bull$#*! it's been a year now and my wife and I back & shoulders hurt because of this stupid mattress and we opened it up and it was only 3-4" in layer that was a memory foam and the rest was garbage. Don't trust Bob's furniture store! It's all crap furniture. So they got us to buy the $100 mattress protector didn't work at all I had a little dog Peed and it went through the mattress protector. AVOID BOBS STORE AT ALL COST...
I bought a living room set two years ago and now my couches look terrible. The fake or as they call it bonded leather has peeled all over. I have to buy a whole new set and Bob's told me since I did not have the goof proof protection I am not eligible for a trade in or credit. Whatever you do, dont trust the leather sofas get cloth. This is the worst $1,000 I have ever spent. Bob's is a horrible company.
I would never buy from or recommend Bob's Furniture store in Southington. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any purchase after several previous purchases and I just found out that the original Bob has sold the business so no wonder the Manager and Sales associate have no customer service skills what so ever.
From the start our sales woman after she made her sales was complaining and gave us her whole life story and using very vulgar words to describe her ex husband, we were appalled but she already had her sale. They first gave me a time frame for this past Friday between 11:15 to 1:15, then Friday morining at 9:00 they sent a text stating they would be there in 1 hour and 15 minutes, well I was at a dr appointment so when they called to say they were in my driveway I told them I would be there and 15 minutes and they stated well you do know this is a drop off! So of courses I said no this is not a drop off! REALLY! So they put three huge boxes on my porch in the rain. I called the sales woman and she said I did not want the white glove I told her I never heard of the white glove, as we were going back and forth you couldn't get a word in with this obnoxious woman, she told someone on the other side of the phone oh I don't have time for this. I then asked to speak to a manager who she said comes in at noon and he would call me, no call from him so at 12:45 I called him. He didn't care either and his customer service skills were even worse then the sales woman. He said he would call me back to set up for a team to come and assemble the furniture and no call after an hour and a half so I called again and he says It won't be today he doesn't know when someone would get out there but if I want they could come and pick up the furniture. So they are coming but not until 10 more days to pick up the furniture which will still be sitting outside in the rain. It just shows how they really care about their products and customers.

Poorly made products. Bought a couch because we were happy with a bed set and it was delivered broken. Not a problem, they chalked it up to delivery error. Now the same couch is broken in the same area less than a year later and they are claiming we broke it and sent it to their extended warranty department. Not to mention the couch cushions went flat after 2 months.
Well not really. We had to call several days later for them to tell us it was our fault apparently. And we have to call it in and send photos of the breakage. They cant even do that for their customers.
On top of that they cant get their deliveries straight. We kept getting calls that we were having furniture delivered (thinking they were sending us a new couch section) but no. They "made a mistake" and we arent getting anything.
So now we play the waiting game for their "goof proof" warranty to see if they are going to fix this couch in our lifetime. Jokes on us I guess. They dont give a $#*! about you once you sign their paperwork. If something breaks then whatever... I was expecting things to fall apart after a few years but twice in less than a year is a new record for me. We'll be buying elsewhere from now on. We dont like buying overly expensive furniture because we like to change things up every few years but I guess we'll have to shell out more money for quality furniture in the future.
My 5 year warranty was tested after 4 years. We started to notice nails and Staples pushing through the fabric. Some sharp and dangerous. We called in, a tech arrived and he opened up the sofa to report that the nails exposed due to a fault in the spring installation. He also noted broken sections in the frame due to pooly secured stapled areas. This was notacable in in all 3 of the units couch, love seat and chair. After looking at love seat only he said he could not fix it nor was there enough time allotted to fix it. Tech explained that the issues where result of mfr defects and that to repair would be short term due to the faults in construction. Tech contacted Bob's explained factory defects (his words not mine) after a few min he shook his head and was told it was normal wear and tear and to out us on the phone. We spoke to the rep as the tech drove off and got told that the case would be handled by another group and to wait their response. After an email confirmation to wait 2 business days we waited and got no response. After 7 business days we called back to be informed that nothing could be done as the damage was not covered by either the MFR warranty or the good troop warranty and nothing would be done.
Answer: Bob's doesn't care... Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
