I am extremely disappointed in our purchase from Bobs. It is the Monroe couch. The cushions were already breaking down within 8 months. Most recently our foot of the couch got pushed up into the broken, poorly made frame f the couch. I don't know why this happened since we rarely sit on this part if the couch. I turned it into the goof proof and it was denied because I stated that I don't know how it happened, it only covers accidents. Well I guess it was accidentally made like crap. Can I say that and get some help. They referred me to the store to use the manufacturer warranty but since it's 4 days after the 1 year mark they can't help me. So now I am stuck with a broken couch, thanks. I will never go here or refer anyone to bobs
Horrible service Guaranteed delivery before thanksgiving. Bought first home and needed furniture. Called and ordered. Had to call them a week later when it was supposed to be in. Told not till mid dec. Canceled order and went elsewhere!
Stay Away to buy and waste your money in protections that is a pain in the@$$, Still waiting for the sofa motor to fix it, they work less than a month and stop working. When you call you waste your whole day doing a claim. Still waiting for the part and when you call the, they said go to the store and they can help you there... WTF is far from me! When I pay THEY TELL YOU A BUNCH OF LIES!
Terrible Customer service! Purchased a sleeper sofa with white glove service. Initially, my preference was to have it delivered from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. They changed my window of delivery which was fine. I rescheduled my day to be home by 9:10 for a 9:30 - 12:30 Delivery window. The truck showed up at my home at 8:40 am, my daughter was home and had no idea what it was for. They put the L-Shaped Sofa Sleeper wrapped in plastic in the hallway which is where we come in and out of the house. I called and said this is unacceptable, I ordered white glove service to have it set up and carried into my room. I was home in time for my scheduled appointment. I called to complain and asked them to come back and set it up or I was going to return it. When I called at 9:00 AM the customer service rep said she will look into it and I should get a response about when they are coming back. At 2:30 I called back because I didn't receive an email or a call and spoke to another customer service rep. She said she was trying to get a crew out to assemble everything for me and put it in the appropriate room. They told me that they cannot get any one back until next Wednesday for a pickup. I'm in shock, I guess Bob's is too big to care about customers and proper service. The lack of communication is terrible. I have bought several times from Bob's and I would never go through this experience again.
In 2018 I bought a bunk bed for my children from Bob's. Well, Dec 2019, my child was laying down in the trundle and we heard a large crack. Upon investigation, we noticed that the wood splintered by the wheel from the trundle and the wheel came off. We immediately reported it. Apparently, this is not considered an "accident" and therefore, they will not cover it. This is fraud and we will no longer buy from Bob's and ever use Guardian to cover it. I suggest you do the same.
I order over $4000. 00 on furniture at bobs furniture at central ave in Yonkers. I order a dining table and when they delivery they brought the wrong chairs I complained when they came to delivery the chairs they brought the same ones... after I end up getting the correct chairs. After few days they came to my house to delivery the same chairs that I already had received 1week prior. My contempo sectional sofa when they delivery it was the wrong one also which it was to big for my living room and they refused to take it back when I call to request the correct sofa the managers at Yonkers central ave Charlie and Edy refused to take my call putting me on hold for more then 30 minutes. This is what I get for being a loyal customer
I have purchased furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture and have received great customer service and the prices are very reasonable. They give you great suggestions when you need help. If you need furniture I recommend Bob's Discount Furniture!
I purchased a bedroom set one year ago when the delivery guys came to set everything up they damaged it I was never replaced for anything I recently just purchased a sectional couch one month later it's broken and they're telling me they cannot fix it because my nephew set on the couch with me and it broke what happened to the warrantee you mean to tell me two months later couch broken they can't do anything for me horrible I highly do not recommend anyone to Bob's furniture the worst ever
This company needs to be under investigation. I purchased a bedroom set totaling $1400 including goof proof( joke). Bed broke 6 months in i put a claim m in and was denied. 8 months later the rail cracked in half when i sat down on it. Put another claim i. And denied. Everyone i know who purchased good proof claim is denied! When i put my second claim in and sent PICTURES I WAS TOLD THE BED WAS NEVER PUTTOGTHER CORRECTLY that pieces where missing. Calling customer service is a joke they are not knowledgeable of anything and very unprofessional! Never ever again will i buy from BOBS! Waste of money and worst experience ever! Several friends wanted to get furniture from them and i told them about my experience.
I spent $2300 on a bunk bed set, after waiting 2 month for the beds to arrove from China the guys installed the beds and said we are missing the wood slat for the bottom bed, which my bed. I said call the company maybe they have it in the store, he called the company ( the delivery guy) and said unfortunately you have to wait 25 days to receive it. I said ibhave a full size matress plus these beds where i am i going to sleep? He said maybe in living room ma'am until u get ur wood slat? I said r u fukin kidding me no i dont want it take it all back i am requesting for refund he said too late we already installed ur beds and we threw out the boxes I hateeeeee themmm
My recliners buttons are so hot I can barely touch them. I have insurance I made the claim. The insurance doesn't cover the buttons. They can't order another.part and I would have to pay for it anyway. Disgusting.
I ordered a dining room set a month and a half ago which still hasn't arrived. They have scheduled delivery on four different occasions, two time of which I took off work, and each time they called last minute to either push the delivery back or send a partial order. They finally showed up with the furniture yesterday, the delivery driver got an attitude with my wife, then left without delivering the furniture. Now, they call me telling me that since they didn't deliver it, they are giving it to the next person in line so I'm not going to have my table to basically another month. They are punishing me for their customer service. Worst company I've ever dealt with and I'll never go there again.
I guess I didn't learn my lesson the 1st time I bought furnitures at Bob's when they refused to do anything about the broken frame of the love seat I bought less than six. The same thing happened again this year 2019. My sectional frames are all broken, nails sticking out of the fabrics in less than a year. Again they said they won't be able to do anything about it. Now I'm stuck with over a thousand dollars worth of damaged items.

Purchased a leather sofa recliner January of 2017. Within a couple months color started flaking off leather. Luckily the manufacturer warranty covered the issue+. Now 2019 same issue with discoloration. No more manufacturer warranty so I thought my addition warranty (Goof Proof) would cover. It did not. There is no reason a leather sofa that is only two years old and barely used should have this problem. Definitely poor quality furniture and poor customer service/warranty. I do not recommend buying anything from Bob's Discount Furniture.
I went to Bob's in the North Hills a year and a half ago. Bought a sofa and loveseat. Got talked into another $129 for goofproof protection.
Sofa was 14 months old and material was all stretching and wrinkling... Called... past warranty and Goof Proof won't cover mfgr. Problem. Now it is 18 mos and love seat material is pulling away from back of loveseat. There are 3 adults and a dog in my house and two of us never even use the livingroom as we are in gameroom. Again neither Bob's or the GoofProof would cover. DO NOT BUY UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE FROM THEM AND DEFINITELY DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THEIR GOOFPROOF WARRANTY WHICH COVERS NOTHING!

An honest review is this company has zero quality control and they promise you they will return your product but they will not. They will come out to service the product after refusing to return it as promised, and simply look at the furniture and tell you its a non issue.
This is the absolute worst furniture company i have ever dealt with.
Stay as far away from their FRAUDULENT Goof Proof plan!
It is an absolute scam. The minute you make a claim, you will realize the mistake you made when agreeing to this extra "coverage."
The furniture they offer are of cheap quality, so there will 100% be damage. However, if you think the "goof proof plan" is what you need to repair your damaged furniture, you couldn't be farther from the truth.
They will do anything they can to deny your claim, and reject your warranty.
It's all a scam to get more money into their pockets.
If you decide to settle on their furniture for the cheap prices, be my guest, JUST BE SURE NOT TO FALL FOR THE GOOF PROOF PLAN.
They make the offer sound so good to be true, and that's because it is.
No one will cover your damaged furniture, and you will end up stressed and running around in circles trying to get answers. Not worth the headache.
Just spoke with Bob's Discount Furniture. After MONTHS waiting for living room furniture set we get a letter stating the delivered couch was not up to their standards... do we want it replaced? So we choose to have it replaced... only problem new couch does not match the love set we just got (mind you it was several months after the couch)... will they replace the love seat... no... will the return the couch we had... no... will they fix the problem... again no.
DO NOT WORK WITH BOB'S DISCOUNT FURNITURE BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO FIX THE MESS THEY CREATED...
My sister purchased close to 5,000.00 of furniture. She purchased "the white glove" delivery service; albeit she did not know that was what it was called. She was simply told it would be delivered and set up. On delivery day when the team brought some boxes in and dumped them on her floor, she asked about set up. They wanted her receipt to prove she had "white glove" service. The receipt was at her old apartment but she told them she was told it would be set up. She wanted them to call and check and when we did they reported that we were hostile and would not deliver ANY of the furniture and left with the furniture on the truck. I have never heard of this happening. After, numerous calls, being hung up on and horrific customer service, it was arranged that 3 days later the furniture would be delivered. This time it was delivered and set up but there were missing pieces because of the returned delivery. We were promised a substantial refund for inconvenience and have not received it. Another broken promise. David Reyes, the store manager is the only person that provided the small refund as promised on the delivery charges.

Stay away complete morons could not figure a route to get to my house that didnt have low bridges. My wife drove 200 miles and took a day off from work to meet them. They would not come back after she gave them a route to get to the house

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
