I purchased a sleeper sofa-Junk! I purchased insurance - does nothing. Tried to call over and over, 2 hrs at a time on hold. Someone finally came out stating this couch has the most complaints. Bob's tells me they can do nothing for us. Well the 1,000 we spent took a long time to save. Thanks for nothing!
Bob's furniture is the worst co. Pany for consumers and employees... They treat their employees just as bad as their customers. Anyone co soldering shopping or working for Bob's I highly recommend you DO NOT! THEY don't tell consumers about policies and in the end you will be stuck with horri la furniture. They do not have any concern for their employees either, the only thing they care about is taking your no at. Their call center is run by a convicted sex who discriminates against employees. I currently have a pending law suit against them for discrimination and wrongful termination. They pick and choose who is held to policies and the business is run off the concept of popularity. I spent time outside of work with a team lead, a supervisor who continuously used illegal substances and encouraged me and a fellow co worker to partake. I hope Bob knows what a distinctionsol company they have representing them and I will make sure the public knows what a horrible name it is being given and who is representing them.
Needing new chairs that were not hand me downs all these years; we went to Bob's after researching on line for what we were interested in. Annette Giem greeted us and was interested in what we were looking for. We told her the 2 we saw on line. Besides these she showed us others and explained the materials, coverage, etc.
We picked the one that felt great, had good coverage and it was delivered in 3 days.
No problems at all and it is so nice to sit in a nice comfortable recliner.
I bought my sectional leather from bob's it's covered under warranty which I paid extra for the hook is broken recliner foot rest is broken and the stitch is also broken, when I called so much questions and then she said it's not covered it's wear and tear and its not 4 years old and we are just two people living there apparently you have to hurt yourself before its covered under warranty not a phone call back from them they are the worst when you go to buy everything is covered just us a call such liars this is the second time I got burnt from them never again they are just cheats liars very unhappy.
My sales representative at the Columbia Md store was JScott. Mr. Scott is not only professional in speech and attire but very knowledgeable in all Bob's has to offer. I was pleased with my purchase and his soft opening when approached. I do not like to be charged at when entering the store. He was informative and gave me the room I needed to finalize my decision. Thank you for your help and being such gentleman. You will see me again!
I bought a mattress from bobs 3 1/2 years ago. What a rip off. Already giving me back aches every day. Asked bobs to come out and get a credit, they said it meets all standards. So when in bed and sink to my boxspring, that's up to standards?

Get a call saying they came and I was not there. The delivery guy lied
Because I had the curtains open waiting to see the delivery truck.

My husband and I visited the Hagerstown store looking for a particular item that had to meet a number of very specific measurements, functions, and quality points. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours and our sales person, Sheri Barnes was just wonderful. She was friendly, patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Last month, I purchased a dining room set, television stand, bedroom set, plush mattress and foundation from Bob's.The standard foundation was too high for my bed so I was able to do a reselection for a low pro foundation. This was also too high for my bed... Laying in my bed, I can touch the ceiling.
I explained that I did some research on their website and the product details for my bed clearly states, "Boxspring and Foundation are not needed for this bed. Why would the salespersons sell me the foundation? I tried to refuse the redlievery of the low pro foundation, however, the technician said, "I can't take the foundation, you have to call customer care."I removed the low pro foundation myself and placed it another room until the 30 days arrive.
Also, my mattress is definitely NOT plush like I ordered and it is extremely firm. I was told that if I returned it on July 14th (day of delivery), I would get a credit, but if I waited 30 days, I could get a refund. I didn't need to purchase anymore furniture so I waited the 30 day period.
Well, I call today (30 days later) and I'm told that the foundation cannot be returned. I will receive a refund for the mattress with the exception of the original delivery fee ($329.99). I'm given this deal once I requested to speak to a manager (whom I never spoke to). I understand the policy for paying for delivery, but I think it is ridiculous that I lose $329.99 (original delivery fee). I explained that several items were delivered and that should be taken into consideration. If I purchase a mattress alone, the delivery fee would not be that expensive.
I'm at my wits end with this company and I will purchase my new mattress from another store.
My family and i were furniture shopping we came upon your store and walk in just looking around we met a salesmen his name is Jamar Davis he was very nice to us he made us feel very comfortable and Relaxed while we were looking around he even got my 10yr old son comfortable with the ice cream and candy nice touch Jamar was very good with his selling technique we did find exactly what we were looking for we want to say Thank you Jamar he is good to us he is a 5 Star sells men

When faced with questions or concerns, Juan responded with answers and solutions. He followed through and exceeded our expectations as we purchased a much needed piece of furniture. Bob's Discount Furniture Store management in Newington, CT is so lucky to have a sales manager, like Juan, who is so diligent, detail-oriented, and hard working. But here's the thing, none of this matters to them because once you sign for your purchase and walk out the door, they can care less about you and your issues with your purchase. I was told by an acct manager " You signed for it, its in your home, it's yours, there is nothing we can do for you. " So this is how you treat your customers, wow!
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that supervisors don't take calls, and if they did I would be told the same thing by them.

The furniture delivery guys, Bryan and his associate were both courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They called before they can, letting us know their scheduled arrival time. Once they arrived, they immediately identified themself and the company they represented. They set up everything quickly, leaving no boxes or debree behind. I would give them a 10 out of 10! L. Jones
We were in desperate need of a new mattress our sales associate was Michael Blander he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable we bought the black signature series and love it. I highly recommend especially Michael he was amazing
Purchased Colby Sleeper Sofa and love seat a little over a year ago. Worst decision ever. Cushions on the sleeper sofa are misshapen and both the sofa and love seat are pilling. Poor quality. If you do decided to go ahead and purchase from Bob's do not spend the extra money on Goof Proof protection. Nothing I've called about is covered. Complete waste of money!

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
