I have rented from MSR for a couple years now and am transferring to my 3rd MSR property. In the past I haven't had good experiences but this time around, Danielle Warner made the leasing process easy & smooth. She kept in contact with me from day one & kept me updated, every day, and was on top of things. Moving is not a easy thing to do and can be very stressful but I appreciate all of her help & the fact that she took some of that stress off of me. She has been very kind and attentive. I want to show my huge gratitude to Mr. Greer. He became my care specialist during a financial hardship and he pushed for me to get assistance and truly became my voice/supporter. Even now with me still not where I want to be he has been doing quality checks and making sure I am good. He is so professional and if can't answer your call due to his workload he will always email you back within a 24-hour time period. If he could be cloned I would because this is by far a more superb delivery of how outstanding customer service should be done and handled. I never felt low with him even in the midst of my defeat. Keep up the great work you are doing and just know it is noticed. I truly appreciate having you as a care specialist because you have definitely shown me you care!:-)

Was double charged. Lied to by a Natasha that's works in the Colorado Springs office. She stated we would be the first ones in line to rent out a house, the very next day she called and told us the house3 was rented out. All they offered to do was refund the overcharged and that we could transfer our app to a different property that we have no interest in. Beyond frustrated. The absolute worse company I've ever had to work with.

Kudo's to Rylei

I applied for a home through Main Street Renewal. Unfortunately, the first home I applied and was approved for did not meet my standards. It took a couple of months before I found another home & the second home was the PERFECT match and I can't wait for move in day!
I had the pleasure of working with leasing agent, Rylei. Rylei was very knowledgeable, informative, and helpful throughout my entire application process with my gazillion questions! She was very patient and walked me through each step of the process. She responded to emails and returned phone calls very quickly.
I haven't moved into my home just yet so I can't comment on my rental experience with Main Street Renewal, but what I can tell you is that Rylei gave me a GREAT first impression of the company and I have high hopes that my overall rental experience will be the same!

Great Service

Renting and moving is always something people dread doing. Because the process is never easy, leaving your home and starting fresh comes with a lot of tasks, and issues in itself. This company and their staff have been nothing short of accommodating and resourceful. I've been able to reach my agent via text, phone, and email daily and received immediate response and solutions. Access to the home has been granted to us to view the property more then once, as well as to let in utilities. Which has helped tremendously. My Agents name is Rylei. I would also like to give recognition to Ryleis coworkers whom have responded while she was on lunch to ensure a timely communication. Everyone has been great. And I'm very excited to be renting through you guys!

Slum Lords

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! The company used new condition photos to advertise the home, we moved from out of state site unseen, BIG MISTAKE! They are a total slum lord style management company who send hacks to do repairs WHEN they actually get around to making any repairs. They overcharge for what this place is and charge services they say they provide and DONT, we haven't been able to use the pool but about half the time we've been here due to lack of maintenance or poor maintenance even with us making multiple requests and informing them. Conditions of the home were WAY less than sanity when we arrived for move in and just overall detrioration. Home is not to code and poses various hazardous liabilities that they know about and continue to ignore. We are stuck in this lease, if there was the option for a negative star review I'd do it! Customer service representatives can't help, resident portal doesn't work, Maintenance request platform is a joke, they don't do anything about them and you can't have more than one issue per topic at a time

I tried to rent a home from Mainstreet Renewal and lost out on the house because the leasing agent wanted to take her time even look at it and I lost out on that house. Then I call 8 am the next morning 9/13/2023 to move my application to a house that had only been posted a hour and I was the 1st view the house. Asked for my application to be moved, the agent said it takes 24 to 48 hours to be transferred to another house, a already processed app from another house. The leasing agent sends me a email 9/15/2023 at 5 pm asking for another form knowing she's off the weekend so any form needed will not be seen until 9/18/2023. I call 8 am on the 18th to find out if it has been moved and was told that the form stopped them from moving the app to the second house but it didn't stop me from appling for the first house. Which gave them another 24 to 48 hours to process. To only call today 9/19/2023 to be told that the first agent had the address spelled incorrectly he spelled Southland ( S. Land) and now the house has been leased to someone else. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES and I'm a homeless vet trying to find a home and have to deal with this type of unprofessional incompetence.

We couldn't get past the application process to even view the home. Their website is NOT user friendly when inquiring about a home. They do not properly put that they show using Rently and how to navigate that app. When you call for help, the rep will not answer ANY of your questions with a straight answer. They will also continue to speak over you so you cannot be heard. We viewed 3 other MSR properties and online they looked fantastic! In person, it was VERY bait and switch. There were baseboards missing, caulking from the tub was missing. Things were dirty. There were also cigarette butts littered everywhere. Once of the houses didn't even have POWER! Yet they expect someone to pay $1500 in a low income neighborhood. They're gentrifying neighborhoods and pricing people out of homes that MSR can't even be bothered to clean before showing!
0/5 stars if it was possible.
After reading the reviews I'm glad we had such a terrible experience early on and will avoid renting from them ever in the future.

Door lock hasn't worked since I moved in two months ago. Have been locked out twice, once overnight. Advised I get a locksmith and then reimburse like they told me they would. Have ignored multiple maintenance requests. It's also impossible to get any help on their support numbers.

Slumlords

Rented 3 months ago. Can't live here. They didn't do ANYTHING they committed to do before move in and most problems were not evident before - when it rains it pours in my house so the constant smell of mold & mildrew is unbearable, mold in the fridge so can't keep food in there, half electric outlets don't work, etc. And I have a 3 year old! I have complained, written, threatened. Nothing! Even their own maintenance says house needs to be gutted. Next stop higher level than (Ha ha) customer service.

When moving into MSR home, the keyless lock did not work. The second day there we were locked out. After 3 1/2 hours of long frustrating phone calls, one of their representatives said to call a locksmith and they would reimburse us, since they were unable to get someone out that day to get us into the house. The lock never worked. This was their responsibility to have everything in working order at the time of move-in. They deny responsibility and have left us with the bill. They've shown themselves to be a dishonest, unreliable company. I would not recommend renting from them.

I went a week without air, left the house immaculate, they want to keep my deposit and charge me 400 extra on false charges. I gave them 30 days notice after two years of paying my rent on time with poor maintenance. They changed the locks and all and charged me a months rent, late fee and kept my deposit. From what I read they never return deposits. Again run don't rent from them.

Scammers

This company is a complete scam. I applied in May and was approved. The 1st house I chose they sent me to tour. There was no lock box on the house. Then 2 days later they said the house wasn't available. I switched to a different property and it wasn't a lock box to tour that home either. Then they told Me the house I orignally wanted was now available again. Went back and still no lock box to enter the home. After 2 weeks they told Me to go back and the housed was inspection ready. Now My application has been approved for 3weeks I never had to walk a rental for the inspection. They asked Me to meet inspector at home and the house was no where near ready. The lights weren't on the electrical outlets were popping out of the walls. Not 1-2 all of them in dining and kitchen. There were exposed wires in the basement. The shower in the master batheroom had a broken handle on the shower door door. There were holes in the walls from previous tenant. They didn't even paint. Then had the nerve to call Me with a attitude and tell Me that they rent homes as is and they weren't going to paint. Then they emailed Me and said everything was fixed and ready to move forward to move in Aug. 1st. 2 days before that they called and said the house is not available someone broke in and stole the refrigerator. I had been working with them for almost 2months at this point. We are set to move due to emergency and they knew that and instead told me it would take 14 to 30 days to get My $1795.00 deposit back. I explained We were schedule for a emergency move and My Mother is Retired and Disabled. They that if wanted to choose another house We would have to reapply and additional application would be required. So We paid the 1st app fee for 2 adults $100 and $1795.00. Now they want Us to pay another $100. Now We are stuck trying to figure out what We are going to do and my lease has expired and Our Voucher Expires at the end of Aug. 2023. Haven't heard anything from them since.
