This place is a joke. I should have did reviews before renting from them. The biggest issue is getting maintenance repairs/issues done in an orderly manner.
It's been 3 months and it stills smells like feces in our master bedroom bathroom. We will be seeking legal assistance to resolve this matter. I caution anyone from doing business with them.

Bogus charges on bill and the "billing department" doesn't have a phone number to handle conversations or transactions. Their "billing department" is an outsourced group of ragtag individuals who speak fairly strangely (a fact they leverage against you!) and give you the run around. Under the guise of vetting you are who you say you are or under the guise that your phone isn't coming through clearly (possibly because maybe they're in India) they waste your time dealing with non pertinent issues all to say they "made a note" or "escalated the issue". I've recorded all conversations for bogus charges of about $550 and will update after court proceedings. They will ruin your renter history with bogus charges unless you pay them. If you don't pay it there is also $100 late fees assessed to your account that they may or may not waive. Until the NEXT MONTH WHEN YOU GET ANOTHER ONE.
I have family who also rents from them and they got bogus charges as well that got removed. Shady things are happening here. Use caution, yeah it's hard finding a home but don't inherit a headache if you've read this. You got warned.
Also maintenance is lack luster, gutters fell and got put back sloppily, not even replaced, and as they did they sealed in a LOT of moisture and now we smell mold whenever coming home or first turning on the central air or heat. UGH
We are looking to welcome a newborn in January. SO SCARY!

My family have just experienced one of the most devastating things that anyone could go thru. We lost our entire home to a house fire. These people strung us along for almost 8weeks. Saying in one breathe we were approved due to our insurance picking up the rental cost... mind you, we've lived in the same home for many many years under a MORTGAGE. Literally had us speaking to a different person EVERY SINGLE time we called to check the status on "our rental home" only to wait 6 weeks into this and DENY our application. Said that they go thru a third party company with application screening and that it could have just been a "typo" that got us denied! WHAT!? You deny people an ENTIRE rental over a typo? There is something weird about this company. I wouldn't trust a single word they say. NEVER would I recommend this place for anything other than someone to chat with DAILY because that is LITERALLY all they do... talk, talk, talk... NO ACTION.

Aug 1st 2022 paid my rent and gave my 60 notice that I will not be renewing my lease. Aug 3rd they withdrew two months rent. Called was told glitch in system and refund will be sent 7-10 business days. Here we are September 16th I've been told 3x they mailed a check 2x they refunded me direct deposit. Called Aug 30th again to see where refund is because rent due again got the run around same old story. They researching and will apply that to this months rent. Around the 10th of month got eviction notice sept rent not paid. Taking 4000 out in one month seriously put me back I asked them to apply the 2000 they took and still haven't refunded me. Every time I was refused to speak to higher up. The absolute worse customer service. By the way not once did I miss a rent payment. And what they did holding up 2000 messed up my entire checking account. I am still out 2000 with order to vacate for lack of rent payment.

I spoke to a gentleman *******136 who told me he owns the home@ 1087 summer glen dr, winter haven *******. Well turns out he does not he works for this place main street renewal. So to me that was a red flag, he should have told me he was a property management company and I would have respected the truth.

This property management company is not qualified & have no clue how to conduct business. It took them 3 weeks to process an application, I was approved by all departments however the "house" needed a gas inspection, agent didn't have a clue as why & it would take a month for an inspection. Being in construction I knew that was "bull" secondly, I advised the leasing agent I would wait, long story short she rented it to someone else! They are not trained & prepared to operate a property management company. I also agree with several reviews on the application process. They are taking multiple applications for one property & choose one qualified applicant to rent to, so the application fees you pay (3 people living in the house $50 each equaling $150) they keep. This company is making a killing on applications alone. Fortunately, I will receive a refund on my application fees only because the leasing agent didn't know how to do her job! Do better Main Renewal, train your people, again they are unqualified. I will be writing a letter to the corporate office as well.

AC went out Thursday; called & received a WO; hotel stay - not reimbursed. Friday appt 3-6 PM window for maintenance; NO show! Hotel again - - not reimbursed; Saturday email that we weren't at house@ 8 AM for "appt" never made and maint company didn't check outside unit which is all that was needed (either was a no show or clueless on HVAC systems); scheduled emergency HVAC, cost was $365, compressor is out & needs replacement. Call MS to advise; nothing, just someone taking notes; another hotel night - - not reimbursed. Not reimbursed for HVAC call either. Sunday - call & advise again for compressor need or system replacement; MS stated would get call maintenance company that could do work & call back and email shortly. Nearly 4 hours later, no contact; no way getting done today - another $195/night our while paying rent in the inferno house! No rent break; no reimbursement; out nearly $1,100 in 4 days with no $$ relief in site or AC fix. If I could provide a 0 rating, I would.

This is my second review. Since the first review I was contacted and after scheduling and no show several appointments to clean our carpets again today someone did show up but only to take pictures. Where to start...
Do not under any circumstances rent through this company. They will take advantage, and ignore you as objects rather than individuals renting a home from them.
Did not clean the apartment prior to move in after this was provided IN the contract. We found mold in the fridge, previous tenants kitchen spices, ants, and missing lightbulbs.
Contract says cleaning crew and yard maintenance prior to move in. The grass was 2 feet and there are still a bunch of sticks in the back piled up that we were told would be taken care of prior to move in. Submitted maintenance for fridge, and back yard with no response. Paid 50 for someone to mow the first time since a push wouldn't cut it.
Bulb went out on 16 foot high ceiling. You guessed it, after submitting a request and a maintenance guy randomly roaming the house caught on camera, marked request as unable to complete. After his third visit for this request, when we weren't home, after specifying we would prefer to be home, since this is an option on their portal(Why if ignored?). We were told in writing on one of our kitchen lists in pen that we have to provide the bulbs for the 16 foot high florescent lights...
Dryer vent was completely clogged on move in. Put in a maintenance request to clean. I was called by a cleaning company that mainstreet renewal gave my number to. Cleaning company said there would be a $100 minimum charge to us, the tenants, just to get the dryer vent unclogged when we, the tenants, moving in had not yet even used the appliance.
$1595 a month with no utilities paid for by this company. DNR: go elsewhere and let this company fail. Please, so others won't regret their future decision of going with this horrendous company, and being taken advantage of.

This company is absolutely pathetic. Me and my fiance over qualify for these homes and we were denied after 12 hours of sending in an application. Paid 100 dollars as well. I called right away and they said I'd have to wait 3-5 business days for a reason and talk to the screening company as to why I may have been denied. Screening company said everything was perfect they don't know why we were denied. So I waited 6 business days and called back, because go figure, still no email for a reason why I was denied. They said hmm that's weird we will escalate your issue because you should know already, you just have to wait another 3-5 business days. I will NEVER buy through this company, they are a scam and will never resolve your issues. By the way, still never heard back from them. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I have had no running water since approximately 9:30am on 8/20/22. I called the water company first to see if it was their issue to only be told that I would need to contact a plumber. I contacted Mainstreet Renewal via their resident portal and made them aware of the situation. I then called as I feel that not having running water is an urgent request. The rep that I spoke with told me that she would escalate the work order and send ot to her manager. About 3 hours go by and I still didn't hear anything. So I call back. In told by this rep that they will have a vendor out tomorrow 8/21/22. I then asked how will I be compensated for this. He stated that he would send an email regarding relocation but this could take up to 24hrs. Here we are on Sunday and the vendor is running behind. Initially I was told that he would try to come first thing in the morning. The morning came and went and still no vendor. I called and was told that he was stuck at the last job but should be to me within the hour. Two hours later still no vendor. I called back to Mainstreet Renewal to inquire about the relocation and was told that because the vendor is to come out on 8/22/22 the relocation order is on hold. I called back and spoke to someone else and was told that the vendor is coming but running behind and should be to me in an hour. This company and their "processes" are absolutely idiotic. All of the reps that I spoke with were able to take showers/baths this morning, brush their teeth, flush the toilet, and wash their hands. I'm simply asking to be able to do the same. My 4 year old doesn't understand why she has to poop in a bag instead of the toilet. This is not the 1800's yet I feel like I'm living in it. Mainstreet Renewal is a joke. I can't wait until I get away from this LIVING HELL! The reps are the worst! You can never speak to a supervisor. The reps are probably bad and don't care because I'm sure they constantly get yelled at because of the lack of urgency that upper management has. I'll keep you updated as to how long it really takes to resolve this issue.

When I represented a seller, this company made an offer and the seller accepted their offer. So this company was a buyer. The internal person who was the main contact person wasn't up to the job for communication. Many times, emails were answered so late, no answered phone, no replied to texts. This buyer(Main Street Renewal) requested counting business days for inspection and earnest money deposit for As-is contract which counts calendar days. Seller accepted their conditions and even went with their chosen title company because the seller normally picks the title company. The buyer notified me about the home inspection date. After 10 business days of contingency, seller thought the inspection was done. All of a sudden, the buyer sent me an extension addendum for home inspection day. I called the home inspector who was supposed to inspect. He told me that it was canceled by the Main Street Renewal. It is a courtesy if the buyer cancels the home inspection when it was scheduled, they are supposed to let the seller know about it. This company never notified the seller. So I emailed them about the whole thing and why they didn't notify the seller as a courtesy. I guess they didn't like what I said to them. So I coulnd't hold of the main contact person. She hasn't responded for a long time. I literally called their main office in another State. The lady who answers the phone, said that she sees the contract was cancelled in their system. So That is how I found out the deal was cancelled. I emailed them about the whole thing what I found out, I was really upset with these unprofessional real estate brokerage firm and their representatives. The only thing they replied was the release and cancelation without any apology. Seller wasted a time dealing with this buyer. I will never recommend this type of buyer to anyone

Do not rent from this company, ever! They are the worst! So far I have been without properly working toilets for 12 days. I have been scheduled for maintenance and no one shows up, no one calls, and no one responds. You can not get anyone to help you. I have sent numerous emails to numerous different individuals and not one employee cares or is helpful - at all! And this is just one of the issues I have had with this company. I cannot wait for this lease to end so I NEVER have to deal with the horrible company again. They fail on every level! There are not strong enough words for me to express how awful and stressful it is to have my well-being controlled by this company. Don't do it - for your sake!

Title says it all. We have massive water damage from the rain and possibly the P-Trap never being drained in the HVAC system in the last 4 years that they have never done. Last year when it poured we had water damage to the front bathroom that started with just a small water bubble in the wall. Because of their neglect and utter failure to properly communicate with their maintenance techs and vendors, after a month of nothing being done, the entire bathroom ceiling collapsed into out home. They then made us live with the mildew in the air and destruction for an entire week and a half before anyone came out to clean it and repair it. Well guess what? We are in the exact same situation now. The water damage is now in the hallway. Reported it right away. Going on 2 weeks now with massive cracks across the hallway ceiling ready to collapse in on us. Water also coming in through the cracks of the kitchen floor tiles when it rains. Mold restoration specialist came out and confirmed we have mold in our walls from a leak in the roof when it rains and flooring has to be torn out. Our home is unsafe and they don't care at all. They still haven't approved the bid for them to come and repair it. Still no AC Tech had been assigned to drain the P-Trap. We still don't know when the drywall repair people are going to come out and remove the busted ceiling so we don't get crushed. We still don't know when roof repair people are coming. It is depressing, disgusting, deplorable and I have NEVER witnessed a company this horribly ran in my entire life! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT FROM MAINSTREET RENEWALS!

Answer: Don't bother... waste of money for an overpriced house. Their customer service is terrible. They give you the run around and the techs they send out are not certified. Look like people the just find off the street and hire for a repair to do. My husband and I are currently looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We've only been renting from them for 4 months and have had SOOO many problems with this house. Look else where.
