Very upsetting

Paying over 2000 a month. Have been with this company over 3 years. So many problems with the home, that's either considered cosmetic or no maintenance guy can fix. The company doesn't care about their customers, they just want your money

DO NOT RENT HERE

I've been living at mainstreet for 1 year and 5 months where I pay almost $2000 in rent and during the duration of my stay it has been the most horrible experience ever. My AC went out in 90 degree weather and they took a week to come and fix even with me having asmtha. On 1/12/23 I came home to a collapsed kitchen ceiling and a flooded home. The house had an ongoing leak way before I moved in on 8/2021 that has caused the kitchen ceiling to collapse and flood my whole house upstairs and downstairs destroying all of my belongings and memories since a child that I could never get back. I cannot use kitchen or water in my house since 1/12/23. Today is 2/1/ 23 and I still haven't heard from any area manager or anyone to remedy situation. My house has grown mold and has mildewed everything causing me to be sick from /breathing the air in the house. I have spoken with mainstreet renewal everyday numerous times, and they say the same thing every time. "We are waiting for the area manager to reach out' which they never do. I promise save your money and DO NOT RENT from this company you will regret it they never respond this company is a SCAM!

THEY TRULY DO NOT CARE!

I write this with tears in my eyes because i simple can not belie just how much this company doesn't care. I have been in my home for almost 2 years and since the first month its been nothing but problem after problem. From a wall collapse, to rotted beams with mold, to septic take overflow in my home numerous times. I have been displaced 3 times (currently displaced now since the 16th because of sewage overflow into home). I am literally homeless with my children right now because i have zero places to go and can not have my special needs son in the home with mold a feces in it that continues to spew out. I have been asking for a transfer request since august. I even applied for a new home and left dozens of emails and phone calls and NO ONE RESPONDS! I was fortunate enough that one you lady has been trying to assist by the name of Mrs Morales but even she gets no responses regarding my transfer. So as of now I'm homeless and still paying rent for a home that is inhabitable at the same time wasting money to find shelter for my children and i. Truly is sad!

Discrimination Against Low Income Families
February 25, 2023

I'm a mother of 5 and I have a housing assistance voucher for a 4 bedroom. This company purposely held my voucher for an extreme length of time TWICE. For two differnt house so I can be beat by cash renter's. I applied for a home on Jan 4,2023 and on Jan 6,2023 my credit and background check was approved and ALL needed documents were sent via email along with uploading them to the website. They confirmed that they did not need ANY other documents since Jan 6,2023. On Jan 24,2023 almost 3 weeks later the home was purchased by a cash renter. My voucher was NEVER filled out nor sent to clearwater ​housing authority for an inspection which they admitted that the delay was their fault BOTH times. They are purposely and openly discriminating against low income single families. This is a shameful, deceiving, untrustworthy company

THESE PEOPLE ARE A SCAM, THEY JUST ADD ON CHARGES FOR NO REASON. I LIVE IN FLORIDA Y ARE THEY CHARGING ME A SEPTIC FEE? Okay so we are a military family. We have PCSed 4 times now. From the day we moved into this house 1/3/23 there was water damage. When we looked at it and put $2700 (deposit & first month's rent) we physically looked at the hous, it was not like this!
2 days we couldn't use water at all.
Now 8 days later they still haven't come back to fix the walls and floor that is now growing mold.
Main street renewal stated on Monday the 9th that a "team " to fix the issues and someone needed to be here for the repairs. Husband is already back and The 9th was supposed to be my first day of my job. So obviously I had to request from my new employer if I could start later.
Monday the 9th rolls around no "team"
Tues, no team...Wednesday no team!
They are real fast to take your money but will not fix any issues, even in an emergency.
Thr basement is now moldy, my kid has asthma and this company has been absolutely no help!
Even called corporate in Austin TX to get this escalated quickly
(since I cant start work and MOLD IS A HEALTH HAZARD)!
And still no help! Hamilton stated he "escalated the issue " but no one has been here to fix anything!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I am now at the point of getting lawyer and getting away from this awful company.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
January 5, 2023

Do not rent from this company, they don't care about their tenants no matter what it is. When I moved into this home I had issues that's took over a month to repair. Most recently my home has been severely damage due to water and they have done nothing but give me the run around and drag their feet for repairs. Save yourself the headache. AVOID.

Renters BEWARE
January 1, 2023

This rental company is the WORST. They tried to evict us wrongfully-had to get lawyer involved. Now they are trying to keep our deposit. We gave them our notice to vacate 10/31/22 and got a collections letter for November and part of December. So now we have to fight with them about this. We are good renters, paid before rent was due, we leave house in ready to move in conditions. Never had any trouble from us. This has stressed us so much.

Moved in 10/27/2022. As far as the leasing process, it was easy and straight forward. Everyone I had interacted with was very helpful in assisting my concerns. The house itself is gross. It has an unpleasant odor throughout. One bathroom smelled so bad my wife nearly threw up. The carpet is nasty and beat up. Paint stains in the carpet on the staircase. Not at all what we expected...
I emailed my complaint and no one ever contacted me to follow up. What was the point in submitting that? 12/31/2022: Now onto bigger issues...we are out of town for the holidays visiting family. On 12/27 neighbors contacted me informing me that a pipe burst in our house and the house flooded. Water was pouring out of the back door. We are set to return home late night on 1/2. A tech isn't available until 1/5. We do not have a safe, habitable home to return to. I requested that we rent another available home so upon our return we have a safe dwelling. I did that on 12/28 and was told I would hear back in 24 hours and never did. I keep calling every day and keep getting the run around from everyone I talk to. No one seems to grasp the concept that we cannot live in this home and staying in a hotel is not an option since we have 4 cats and no hotels allow more than 2 pets in a room. They are not offering up any other solutions and do not appear to be treating this with any sense of urgency. I have made contact with an attorney and will be seeking legal action. DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY!

AVOID RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY!
Prior to hurricane Ian and even more so after hurricane Ian, my sister and I have been having a hard time breathing in the home that we rent from Main Street Renewal. We have contacted them several times about the ductwork in the home. They have created multiple work orders for various problems that happened from the hurricane. Out the 13 separate work orders created only 3 have actually been completed. We have had to purchase an air purifier for the home in hopes that we can breathe better. They have sent a person out on 3 separate occasions... they look at the ductwork. Each of them indicating that "Yes, the ductwork does need cleaning". Then they cancel the work order and respond that it is complete and that the cleaning of their HVAC Unit is "Tenant Responsibility". We still have a broken fence, soffit and gutters that are still damaged, and the roof that is still damaged. We have been waiting 3 months for these repairs and still nothing.

I pay my expensive rent on time. I have pets that are ESA certified and they are trying to illegally charge me. Christmas Eve I started having water pressure in my wall. Two days later they finally sent a plumber. The plumber left a 6 foot gap outside by ripping off the wood and siding. During winter we have snow and rain which is poring into the hole. After 40 phone calls and 20 emails nothing has been done and they gave me appts for 1/10 th. They also left a gaping hole in the bathroom which can wait but a gaping hole leaving the undercarriage of the home to get wet and fill with mold is not excusable. Put up plywood till you can get to it would make sense but they do not want to do their job. All they say is well it won't be your fault. And this *******@msrenewal.com is a joke. I emailed them with no response.

MAIN STREET HOMES

My Christmas in my new home is ruined. Brand new home that was built last year and this the outcome. The builders left a pipe lose which caused a slow leak that ruined my kitchen and living room floor. The garage has mold on the walls plus the living room and kitchen floor has to be treated and replaced. This will not be completed by Christmas. My entire 2nd floor is out of order. Main Street Zhongshan is responsible for the repairs and damages. It's been a month and work is not complete. Worst experience ever. Stay away from the company

Constant charges
December 17, 2022

First when I moved, everything was OK then after being with the company for about three years, I started noticing constant charges on my account. My rental amounts is incorrect, and although I have the proof that it's incorrect, they keep telling me to call different departments there housing department says my ledger is in correct an they will fix it it's 12/16/2022 this has been goin one for months and they won't fix it, but they will keep sending me three day eviction notices. I wish I would have never moved this company. Find somewhere else this company isn't it

Horrendous experience
December 1, 2022

This company is incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. I have experienced multiple issues since moving in, the most frustrating when the homes AC went out (In Florida) It took 4 calls and a total of 4 days for a response. To which I was told they would have someone out in another 3 days to look at it. I told them on the phone I would have it fixed the next day and submit a credit request. 7 days without air conditioning is ridiculous. I am now 92 days past submitting that ticket and have continually been told it is "pending review". I am not even attempting to recoup the cost of the hotel I stayed at while without AC. I pay $2,500 a month and the credit is for $700. Terrible customer service, no communication, overall, a scam of a company. AVOID THEM!

Mainstreet renewal doesn't fix anything correctly or even in a timely matter. They take your money and don't care if your electric is working, hot water and now our upstairs heat is out. They will assign vendors who don't even service your area and continue to just give you the run around. Our fence has been falling down since the day we moved in and now 3 years later they still haven't fixed it. They actually said price of wood is too high so we will have to deal with it. This company is the biggest scam rental company ever. Stay far away from Mainstreet properties. Soon as we can but we're out of this nightmare.

Absolute Garbage

My home has been without working plumbing since 9/29/22. It's now 11/20/22. That's right over a month. The people you call do not care. The idiots they send to your home either don't speak a language you can understand but have no idea what the hell they are doing.
In this ordeal my kids and I have been living from here w flies and sewage in my yard. Toilets that bubble sewage and do not flush. The clothes we wear cannot be washed here and I now have 300 in laundry fees. They will do nothing for you. They will not even answer you at a management level. They have some desk jockey w no real concern or decision making authority. You'll get the run around or put on hold until your asked a survey. A survey for absolutely abhorrent service.
After 5 weeks of endless phone calls with people who will literally drive you to a stroke I get an email that for all my time and trouble they give me a 400.00 dollar concession on my Octobers rent. Really!
Run from this company. Never even fill out the application. If anyone would like to contact me for pictures or video of what you'll be dealing w renting from them, I'll gladly provide

Avoid at all costs
November 16, 2022

I have been holding off on posting but this is the final straw: AVOID MAIN STREET RENEWAL RENTAL PROPERTIES
Super long story short: We were delayed 2 weeks from our (paid) move in date of 5/27 because the plumbing in the bathroom was not working. We had 4 vendors come to the house (time off work!) and had to live somewhere else for 2 weeks. We were told it would take 45 days to process a refund (filed 6/9). These plumbing issues (which we notified them) caused water under the house and then mold though out the house, ruining a dresser and a couch (the A/C running too fast also caused this issue). On 10/1 we had to move back out of our house due to the mold and they did not have the issue resolved until yesterday 11/15 (6 weeks). They said they were waiting to refund us the original two weeks until the mold issue was resolved. Well, nearly 6 MONTHS later we got a denial for the 2 weeks (mind you, this is $700!) And we're out another 6 weeks rent so in total they owe us $2900! I called to complain about the denial and was basically told 'tough crap' even though we had vendor records and NEVER once mentioned anything about keys. If we break our lease, they said we owe them ANOTHER $1400. We are good Tennant's. We did everything to avoid mold, called them several times about the issues and noticed via phone and writing both. This company steals money from people and makes up random excuses to deny valid refund claims. They are buying all the home up in Louisville... Save yourself the trouble!
We have been extremely patient with them but will not be walked over anymore!

Was looking for a place, was told it went over the amount approved for so I found another house they had for rent that went just $5 over asking price they gave me a runaround for 4 days just to find out they gave it to someone else. A bunch of frauds they are. I would never recommend them to anyone nor try to use their services again. Wish I had done my research before.
