The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers praising the efficiency and support of specific staff members during the leasing process, highlighting a seamless experience and quick move-in times. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding service delays, inadequate maintenance, and poor communication. Many customers reported unresolved issues, including mold and plumbing problems, alongside frustrations over application fees and lack of responsiveness from management. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the recurring complaints suggest a need for improved customer service and property management practices to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.

We have been without air conditioning for 48 hours and per our lease agreement, if it's over 90 for greater than 4 hours it is considered an emergent situation that requires immediate attention. 48 hours and no plan in place to fix it. I have made over 10 phone calls to MS Renewal to follow-up on the maintenance request without any resolution or relocation options. We have 2 small children and pets and we are in North Carolina where the humidity is at a maximum all day. I have asked to talk to management, nobody calls me. I was promised someone would be out within 24 hours and we are now going on 48 hours and still no plan in place. They will threaten you all day long about what's in the lease agreement, but when you push it back they do NOTHING! Now the fridge/freezer in the kitchen isn't working and we lost an entire appliance worth of food.
MS Renewal is nearly a scam. They don't honor their agreement, refuse to return calls requested from supervisors, and fail to repair items. We had sewage backing up into our house for nearly five weeks before they fixed the problem. Our irrigation system had broken pipes in many places the day we moved in. The timer box has never worked. They refuse to repair them but insist we are responsible for these repairs. Our garage opener didn't work for four weeks before they agreed to fix it. They employ many people that can barely speak English. It seems they have offices but no one works in them. We have a problem with our A/C system but they can't seem to have time to fix it. Stay away from these people. They are threatening, have terrible I. T. systems in place, and only want your money. Once they have you under contract they don't seem to want anything else to do with you. There are many better options than Main Street Renewal.

So I moved in on 1st of July and none of the bathrooms are usable. I decided to call their maintenance line to put in a work order and it took days for a response. Plumbers came and said they needed an approval by MainStreet to actually fix it. I have to schedule another work order and wait for them to come back. This time, they couldn't do anything because there is such a huge blockage they would have to drill into the floors to fix it. It has now been 26 days and legally I can withhold my rent at this point. For the past weeks I've had to go out of my way to use a bathroom. MainStreet does not care about the living conditions of their rental properties and everyone has been completely useless.

Best regards,
This might be a little long but I'll share all the information that I have currently. About a month ago myself and two friends went through Main Street Renewal in order to rent a house for one year. The property is in Lehigh acres Florida. This morning, three days before myself and my friends are supposed to move in, we received an email stating that there is an individual occupying the house. I immediately called them up and they told me I have two options, I can either receive a full refund, or they can transfer my lease to another property. The lease is already signed by all parties, so I called a friend who told me I should call up the sheriffs office. I was informed by the desk officer that if the individual is not a previous renter, The owner of the house would be able to call the sheriffs department and have them evicted as a trespasser, however, if the person has ever had a lease before, there is due process that the property management company and property owner must go through. I was informed by the county clerk that I would need to contact an attorney to see if the rental property would need to cover me for all moving, temporary lodging, and storage costs as we were informed three days before the start of the lease. My parents think that this is possible price gouging in the terms that the rental company accepted two different applications and is trying to get us to agree to a lease on a more expensive property. I have the entire lease signed and printed out saved to my desktop. I'm thinking of moving forward in a law suit as this company failed to provide lodging based upon the agreed upon contract. I informed them I would take another property at the previously agreed price but they refused to do so. I've been in contact with my attorney and will be moving forward with a law suit.

I saw many people complaining about application process, you are lucky if you got rejected. I got worst ever experience as a tenant. Our AC has been down three times within 3 month moving in. It was not working after moving in. The next two times were nightmare. You have to make tens of calls to maybe get something happen. The most recent one happened in last Saturday morning. It took half day and a couple of calls to even get a correct work order in although we made an urgent maintenance request. Outside temperature has been over 100 degree for a while in Oklahoma. The assigned vendor apparently doesn't work/answer phone during weekend. Asked for relocation, no one can make it happen. I made so many calls in two days to different numbers, sent emails. Nothing happened. They knew the vendor won't come out to fix the AC, they knew outside is above 100 degree, and they told me nothing they can do. Every call, you are dealing with a different staff, you repeat all information, some say they will follow up, some say no one is available in weekend, some say nothing they can do once work order is assigned. Nothing happened in two whole days with 100 above weather!. Nothing they can do when they got my rent and the house is not livable! We had to be homeless for two days and paid hotel to spend the night ourselves. It is just a horrible and horrible experience. We have another 9 months to go, gonna to be a long 9 months. I hope we got rejected and lost that application fee.

Can not actually talk to people that work for the company. Just phone representatives. Charged for plumber coming to our house and never showing up.
Please don't say you'd love to know more about this because I've called 8 times to speak to a manger to get this corrected.

Main Street became the property manager 5 months into my lease. Four months later they post utility charges to my account of which I have already paid under my name and from my bank account. I have been calling and emailing since April 29,2022 and provided proof that I paid the utility bills twice and they still have not resolved the issue. Today I noticed another $58 charge was added for another month and the lease ended June 30th. I asked to speak to a manager and the representative told me that there was not a reason to talk to a manager because he did according to their policy- he emailed the utility group but he could not copy or forward me the email. It had been 3 months and no resolution or a manager to talk to.

Today is moving day. I'm moving into a MS Renewal property today where I will NOT have water! Read that again, I won't have water. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at MS Renewal to get the water turned on. I've emailed. I've called and called and called. Hours spent trying to get a hold of someone at MS Renewal who will help me get the water turned on. Pasco Utiities told me on Wednesday of last week that MS Renewal is not the owner of the property and therefore, my lease is fraudulent. And whoever responds to these emails saying to email *******@msrenewal.com, I did! I forwarded the email from Pasco Utilities to *******@msrenewal.com and still I have no water at the property I paid nearly $3000 to move into. I can't get anyone to resolve this but Breanna and her leasing friends called me every single day when they wanted my business. Run, fast, to a company that takes care of their one job - homes! DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO MS RENEWAL!

These people have no intention to help you find a home to live for your family, but only make money off multiple people paying applications fees. What's the $#*!in point of putting in applications to be denied because one person of three credit score is too low for their standards, not including the section 8 voucher for income purposes. I will not recommend this business for no one to use, just heartless.

One particular remark in your reply to my first review jumped out for me, that hadn't previously. This remark, " Our specialist team wants to hear from you if there is still any concern of urgent matter, please reach us at *******@msrenewal.com "
What could be more urgent than being homeless? Because of the income requirements of 3 times the monthly rent, my family is homeless. We have 3 adults (actually due to Alabama law; one is not old enough to rent her own place) and two children. In addition & because of our dilemma, we have met a large number of families whom are in the same position as my family.
I have lived on this earth quite a long time and am appalled at these ridiculous standards that are causing families to remain homeless or living in hotels that charge 3 times what homes are renting for! FOR 1 ROOM!
Should your company truly care about potential clients, then allow these clients to rent when their income more than covers the MONTHLY RENT, as does ours!

We checked out house and it had a bad fridge which we were assured it would be fixed before moving in. It's now over 3 weeks and NO FRIDGE. We have spent countless hours talking to over 20 people there and still no fridge, and it's been 100 degrees. It's impossible to get someone to actually fix issue. We are now being forced to buy a fridge and submit receipt and hopefully get credit towards rent. Do not use this company- nothing but headaches!

We moved into our home 3 weeks ago. Gas company would not turn on our gas until the city came out to inspect it. City told us that the realtor had to call them to come out and inspect. We have called and emailed company on numerous occasions but have not gotten a response. Have been talking cold showers, doing dishes and laundry in cold water for 3 weeks. Horrifying experience.

Answer: Don't bother... waste of money for an overpriced house. Their customer service is terrible. They give you the run around and the techs they send out are not certified. Look like people the just find off the street and hire for a repair to do. My husband and I are currently looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We've only been renting from them for 4 months and have had SOOO many problems with this house. Look else where.
Answer: Indeed! Integrity n honor is of no value with MSR! Hopefully they will re-evaluate their company and greed will not control them! No one has a clue of each other in the business system they run!
