I tried to purchase a Cincinnati Red's De la Cruz jersey. The site showed an advertisement stating, "Up to 30% off site-wide." There is no place to enter a promo code until you put the item in the cart. When you enter the code (POPUP), it says, "This promotion does not apply to cart items." What a joke. I wonder if I can file a formal complaint through the Attorney General's Office.
Extremely difficult to deal with this company after ordering. Their customer service is non existent. They gladly take your order but after that, you're on your own.
I am accusing the MLB Shop of outright theft and will be contacting my credit card company to help rectify this situation. I have not received the 2nd half of this order nor do I expect it to be fulfilled.
On their site it said the order was in stock. After I ordered, I got an email saying it would be almost 3 months before they ship. Baseball season will be half over. Do not buy from them.
If I could rate the MLB Shop zero stars, I would. Worst customer service ever from a guy named "Charlie". I ordered a polo shirt, my credit card was charged, and I was sent an order number. They told me the date the package would arrive. I never got it. When I attempted to track the order, I was routed to the website of a delivery company called "Roadie" and given a second tracking number. When I used that number I was given a message from Roadie saying "Gig Cancelled". I tried calling Roadie and spent an hour on hold and never got anyone to answer. I contacted the MLB Shop and was disconnected 3 times. I finally got a guy named Charlie and was told I would have to contact them again on anther day because they wouldn't refund my money for another 24 hours. They said my order had been cancelled and they didn't know why and they needed to find out if Roadie would return their merchandise or throw it in the trash. I told them that I should have my money refunded no matter what Roadie did. "Charlie", the MLB Shop representative, was very rude and said " and you will when you go through this process and contact us again tomorrow!"
Buy your MLB gear elsewhere and save yourself a lot of time and frustration!
Every time I buy something and try to return it, it is such an incredible inconvenience. Can't get anyone on the phone, the online chat dead ends, they don't honor what's in the bold print on return policies but reference the small print on page 3 that contradicts what's in the bold. Now in an infinite loop on the phone and can't get a live voice for the life of me. I don't know why I bang my head against the wall and continue to order from this company. They absolutely suck.
Promotion said shipping would be free with entry of pomo code. Code was entered. Only upon finalizing sale did receipt show I was charged $10 shipping and then if I registered with a username, password and personal information would I be sent a $10 rebate. Not what was promised! VERY MISLEADING. Find another site to order from!
I returned a gift and received an electronic gift card. I then purchased several items with the card. One of those items did not fit, requiring me to return another package, wait for a new electronic gift card, then reorder the correct size. Of course since I'm ordering less this second time around, I had to pay extra for shipping. They sent the wrong color. I called customer service and was told I would need to repeat the entire process again, return item, wait for gift card, and reorder (likely paying shipping again). If I just wanted the money back, then I would have to wait for the gift card, call some special department, and get money put back on both my husband's card and my own (since I had shelled out extra). They made a mistake and put the onus on me to fix it. Fanatics owned businesses are terrible in general, but this was an extra level of terrible.
I ordered a shirt two weeks ago and I heard nothing. Supposed to arrive on Monday and I phoned and found out that they lost my package. They had no items left to resend. Landmark global and Apple express are a joke of a carrier
I ordered something on November 17th. I received the wrong order on December 10th. Not a big deal. Got online. Got the return ready. Was told by one agent my package would still be delivered on December 21st. (It's a Christmas present) I check back today and was told it won't SHIP until January 18th. I asked multiple times and made sure I was very clear in getting it for Christmas.I will never order from them again. Was sent the wrong package and was lied too about my actual
Package. Never again MLB.
I ordered twice on two different occasions 3XL shirts; the first time the shirt said 3xl, but the shirt was sized for a small person size looked small. I had personalized it but couldn't return it. I was refunded since I explained it wasn't my fault. The next 3xl shirt I purchased was the same thing. The shirt said 3xl, but the shirt looked like it was large. I just gave it away to someone that I knew it would fit in a Large size. I will no longer order from MLB or Fanatics. Very dissatisfied.
Customer service is terrible. They lied to me about my order and had no remorse. Constantly blew me off and would not help or answer my question. Placed a order five business days and they cant tell me when it will ship. Or tell me anything about my order really. The live chat is useless. The agents take 5 minuets to respond to any question. Then their response would be not even related to the question I asked. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
I ordered 2 mets sweaters in October and was charged before the items were processed or shipped. I waited 2 weeks to receive them just for them to be the wrong size, cheap fabric, and the logo not pressed on straight or in the center. I returned them the same day (Oct 27th) and have yet to get my $100 refund. I waited 10 business days for them to receive the package and upon a live chat was told I had to wait another 7 days for my refund to post... shocker after the full 17 business day wait period no money has been returned. Upon calling a I was told there was a "system error" and that it will be posted in another 2-7 business days. Oh but don't forget the potential for delays as it is now the week of Thanksgiving. I then asked for an email with a time stamp and date as proof that I will now have my money in another 7 days and was told this wasn't an option... when asked for a supervisor there were "none available". Don't order from this site if you expect quality products, returns, or refunds because you will be very disappointed.
I purchased the products at 3:47, and by the time someone responded it was almost 445 so therefore I had been beyond the 30 minutes time to get an order canceled. I canceled the order because there was a 25% discount but then it was made up with shipping and handling so not a good deal at all. I will be returning the product.
Ordered item in September, 3 weeks later it still hadn't arrived. You can only contact them through chat bubble. Starts with a robot and after 15 minutes, you finally chat with a human. They said order must be "lost in transit". Based on the number of poor reviews of folks not receiving their items, their warehouse must be a disaster.
The person on the other end of chat was fine, but offered no resolution other than "reorder or refund". I asked how soon the item could be delivered, they couldn't tell me. I immediately said REFUND. Fortunately the refund to Pay Pal account was immediate and correct.
As someone who realizes businesses need good service, this shocked me. I would have offered to overnight item or a discount.
Wish I would have read the reviews on MLB shop prior to ordering. I see why they have a 1.1 out of 5 star rating. MLB needs to separate themselves from this entity. It seems to be a continuation of MLB not knowing how to market themselves.
Paid $107 for a sweatshirt and when it arrived it didn't fit. When I tried to return, my credit back was $89. I paid $18 to send back a shirt that didn't fit. What a joke!
3rd time of PLACING an order with free shipping, and then go to checkout and at least a 10.00 shipping fee when there was a code that was used for free shipping! NO THANKS!
Because MLBShop does not sell Women's jerseys with Tom Seaver and number on back, I had to order a custom jersey with Seaver's name and number. According to the size chart, the Medium would be bigger than I needed but my wife likes her shirts loose. When it arrived, the Medium was too tight. Because it was a custom shirt, I was not able to send it back and get a larger size so I'm out over $160. Since their size chart is not correct, they should allow me to return it and get the larger size. That will only happen in my alternative universe.
Ordered merchandise last month and never received it. I have tried to contact them numerous times and gotten no response. I WOULDN'T ORDER FROM THIS SITE AT ALL.
I'm trying to figure out why can't you speak to someone other than the robots in the chat. It don't seem like they care at all when you finally get someone and you telling them they end the chat. I want to know why even when speaking with Ontrac they seemed like they didn't care either finally got my refund after reaching out to them the second time. But what I don't get is how this a common issue I see in the reviews. It wasn't delivered although it said it was tf is that about.
Answer: No! No success story at all. I will never order from this clown outfit again.
