I was under the impression they sold overstock and gently used items. I ordered curtains labeled "2 PANELS" and only received one. I purchased a partial item that was advertised as an ottoman but it was the bottom half of a chair. I ordered "king" sheets that were most likely queen sized and too small. I ordered another set of sheets that I washed in a hot cycle and caused me to itch all night when using them. I purchased a "damaged" table that was "cracked" that was actually shattered in multiple pieces and complete trash. I ordered a desk chair that was labeled "open box" and it was stained, ripped and all the hardware was removed but the packaging was left behind. I bought a treadmill that was missing the safety key and bolts and displayed an error when turned on. I bought an grey ottoman labeled like new and it was brown with a hold punched through the bottom. Lastly, I ordered a stroller that the handle foam was hanging on by a thread and covered in dirt and the stickers were completely worn off. You're essentially bidding on falsely advertised trash - buyers beware! All but one item was labeled "open box". This is false advertising and should be labeled "second hand trash"
I have been bidding since Mac opened up at the Mills. We have gotten alot of bargains.Last year I had a Mac bid Christmas and already started for this year.People have to realize this is bidding on returns mostly so its a gamble on what you end up with.I have been satisfied with what I won and always add the fees up as I go so there is no surprises.
(Going to have a Christmas in July with stuff from Mac bid)
Very good service lvery good ove the products. People are always nice and helpful. I love shopping there will do more
Best place to shop. Great value for your money. Most items I ve won were in like new condition even though not posted as such. Buy the insurance if you are leery.
Everything there is junk dont waste ur time or money, DONT DO IT. Credit card info stolen as well...
I'd like to say "thank you" to your employees at the Pittsburgh Mills location. If I needed help they helped me and if I had questions the same. The only one that was not helpful was the greeter.
I purchase A gazebo in February and opened it today not only is it missing the whole canopy. The mosquito netting is ripped and the bars on the frame are broken. It is completely useless, and they will not return it.
Best place to get a discount! I can't stay off of it. My house has everything in it from Mac! Love
I wish I would have known about this place a year ago. I just upgraded the lighting and bathroom fixtures. I could have gotten all these items from macbid for a fraction of the cost.
I lost 9 items because automatic holds are not placed automatically even if you have a subscription. This lady on the phone made sure to read me the terms of the agreement, however read your basic membership guidelines on your app and you will never know that's the fact. This is very deceptive. If you read the rules and terms of your agreement under basic membership it reads as you have an automatic hold on your products. What is deceptive is that they do not tell you that if you have your items transferred, those items are no longer be held. The person answering the phone tries to be patient, but obviously knows this is deceptive. I will never buy from this site again. Good luck to those of you who do.
They had a computer glitch at their end that cost me over $1200.00 Stay away from these hacks. They absolutely refuse to even listen. Their lawyers have everything set so that they are always right, no matter what.
There are many items that say "Open Box" but are truly damaged goods or were used and switched for the new item before returned. The pictures on the website for the listings are very poor quality. MacBid is relying on you not to go and physically check the product they are selling. If you did, you either wouldn't bother bidding on it or would bid very low. Buyer Beware!
I've bid & won on numerous items & never an issue with anything. The ONLY complaint is not being able to sort items by bid amounts or ending time. SO GLAD they opened a new warehouse 5 minutes from my home (Greenville / Mauldin SC)!
You can literally find ANYTHING under the sun on their site/app!
Everything is damaged, or missing parts which is fine but when you sell used soldered pipe fittings, used and broken measuring tapes, used cooking equipment that looks like it was used for 15 years. Turkey deep fryer that was used for thanksgiving and basically returned with the Turkey in it. They don't care about what you buy or their own appearances. Stay away or they will sell literally things we throw away on a daily basis. Like a junkyard and have the nerve to get smart with you. Good luck next time with that cause I no longer care about what you think or your garbage. Filth
We were very impressed with 4 of the locations as everyone was consistently friendly - until we encountered a so called assistant manager who told my disabled spouse (with great disdain) to go drag in two heavy rugs on her own - it was her problem. There are plenty more adjectives to describe his attitude, but not worthy our time. Was told by a personal friend on Linkedin - who knows Shawn Allen personally that his ONLY concern is money - he also used colorful words to describe his ethics. Don't bother.
Buyer run away from this company as far as you can. They claim to allow inspection of items but items that are damaged they sell as like new or open box because they wrap them so tightly you cant even inspect them. In order to return something you have to pay an additional fee some times even more than the cost of the item you are winning. Then if you ask them to make something right they will deactivate you for requesting them to be honest and help you while at the same time insulting you to your face - which i have recorded on video
Buyer beware, they advertise garbage as "open box". I bought a table saw advertised as "open box" and it looks like it had been used for years and then thrown off the back of a truck.
Just started with Mac bidding and became a member right away. So far I am happy with my purchases and I joined bc I was recommended by a friend who also has bought a building full of products that she's been satisfied with as well. My Roomba has taken one more chore off my plate and works perfectly!
Answer: No, there is one on the sure now. Beware of purchasing items you can't view ahead of time. Go see it before you bid on it.
Answer: They simply do not care how long you have to wait. Just hope the driver didn't find your item to be pretty cool or something his girlfriend would really like to have.
Answer: 15% + $3 + tax try bidding and being high bidder on an item for $1 and end up paying 3× that amount.
