Lot fees are way too much 162.00 lot fee for a washer and dryer. Is ridiculous. I should have just bought new ones from lowes or home depot I would have been further ahead

I've used Mac bids for a while and soon realized alot did make sense regarding bidding and the circumstances of getting out bid. I think it's pretty easy, if an item doesn't bring the bid they want a computer bids and u don't get the item. I would watch an item, and if Noone bids, u could come in at the end and bid and win it. Not so fast! As this happened as I would refresh my screen, an item that was previously 0 dollars would have a 300 bid. Noone would bid that, when they are the only bid and could have won the item for a dollar.

In most cases, the merchandise is defective, missing parts, broken or just plain trash. I bought a shelf unit, but when I got it home, the box was literally filled with someone's garbage! I have bought 3 pieces of furniture, and in every instance, they were missing major parts. In the beginning, it was a good business model because you could take the risk for just a few dollars to get something, but now the bidding goes higher and higher and the minuscule savings isn't worth the risk and hassle. I bought a faucet for $100 and picked it up today. It's missing all the hardware to mount it to the sink! I should have just put my$100 toward a new faucet at Home Depot. My days on MacBid are over. I've had one too many disappointments!

So far, I've had great luck. They are very helpful. I would recommend this company for sure. When I first went in, I was very nervous, not knowing what I was doing, but they were very helpful.

DO NOT expect customer service. I received an email stating that my item MUST be picked by tomorrow 1/1/2024. I drove 2 hrs just to find out that they were closed. I wrote an email since the customer service line NEVER followed up and called me back. The email stated basically. The website said they were closed. I read the email not the website. I had a membership and spent thousands of dollars but they will not get anymore out of me. Their customer service has gone away. So if you need my $16 keep it. It is the principle of the fact. I had bought a lot of trash from Mac Bid and understood that I take a chance but for you not to stand behind your email threats that is just bad business.

They use computed generated bidding to get the price they want, no one, no one, will make me believe different. That is scamming! Why not put minimum bid on the items so that my time is not wasted? The fees are outrageous and I don't see this company being prosperous in a few years once their business model is exposed.

I spent over $200 on a new light on Macbids. I got it home, set it up, and the light doesn't work. Now, this was an open box item and I did take the risk on buying it. But this tells me that mac bids makes little or no effort to ensure their items are any good. I got screwed! Buyer Beware!

You either get a great deal or get screwed. DO NOT buy anything that should come with batteries - even listed "as new" batteries will not come with it. Inspect everything before you leave! Most things are damaged in some way. Don't buy anything that locks- you won't get into it as keys are of nonexistent or are locked inside (luggage). Bought an open box crock pot - got it home didn't work.lifted crock pot out of base and it was full of the previous meal that was cooked in it. DISGUSTING! Return desk Does Not Care so unless you buy the insurance don't bother bringing it to their attention. Boardman employees are RUDE and annoyed by you interacting with them for any reason. Warren employees are very nice and helpful!

When I came to pick up my item in Mac bid, Anderson, SC, for which I had paid, it turned out that it had disappeared from "awaiting pickup ". The lady at the computer looked at her computer for a long time, then she called another person, a third ignoring me.

Picking up things from the Warren warehouse is super simple everyone there is courteous, and more than willing to help. Even had full conversations with other customers in the parking lot about their items. It's hard to overlook the excitement on someone who received a great deal on their item. It's also easy to enjoy paying half price for things.

They can refuse a refund NOT MATTER WHAT. They can permanently bann you and anyone associated with you from their business, because they didn't like that they had to refund you money for an item that you bought and there was nothing in the box.
If you get banned, MAKE SURE you email them and make them close your account all together. If you don't do this then your account with still be theirs and your cc as well. To make sure they closed it, try to access it again and you'll know if they did or not.
The men who own this company have no ethics or value on their customers what so ever. They sell items without checking to see if they work or if the item is even in the box or if it is even the actual item you think you're purchasing. Then they can refuse you a refund….period. Because it in their "terms and conditions " they are great if you get what you want at a good deal with no issues but as soon as you have a issue and they have to pay out then you get permanently banned. Because " they can"
Unethical poor customer value.

M@c sells used and unused returned items. Had great luck with mattresses, rugs, curtains, cusions, home decor, etc. Without exception however every electronic or mechanical thing I have purchased has been broken and had to be fixed or didn't work at all. From vacuum, coffee maker, toaster, solar lights, elec pressure washer, etc., all crap. Just bought an electric mower, battery is shot and won't charge. (have same brand of other tools so have other batteries which is why I bought but just saying). Keep in mind the lot fee of $3.00 and 15% buyers premium on every item and it doesn't make much sense for small cheap stuff either. Watch what you buy, check online prices and bid accordingly and there are some deals to be had.

You can bid on an expensive item and possibly get that item for a $1.00. Mac Discount is addictive. It's helping putting my home together.

Have purchased multiple items too many to list, but they say open box get the item home and they are broken plus missing multiple items BUYERS BEWARE …. A good deal is not always worth it!

I am an employee and a customer of mac.bid. I enjoy working with the team putting great auctions together for the public. I love bidding on things i can use but you must inspect the item before bidding, which i do. Sure things may be damaged or missing pieces,but hey thats what inspection is for. Make sure the item is really what you want before bidding and you will be happy. If you still want the items make sure they can be fixed or replaced and you wont be disappointed!

Won some auctions (electric/electronics) none were as expected. Used, dirty, non working, smelly, with defects and missing parts. Coffee maker, fan, lights, trash can, some clothings all went to the dumpster.
Products are not open box neither inspected. Unable o get a refund, will not expend a dime on this site. False advertising BBB RATING IS 3, BUYER BEWARE

I have honestly got so many amazing deals on M@C Bid! I have won so many amazing items from here! I redid our bedroom picture included) it's boho and honestly 80% of it came from here! (King size bed, end tables, lamps, white shelf, rug, ceiling fan, bed spread, faux pampas grass, pet steps, big picture and bamboo tree) That's all you can see from this picture but on the right side is a tv stand and a bench too! The money I saved is astonishing! We are currently getting ready to redo our bathroom and I won the shower pan and bench seat from here! Just these two items have already saved us $900.00! I have got almost every brushed nickel piece for the new bathroom (rainfall shower head, track lighting, vanity mirror, sink faucet and all bathroom fixtures) at amazing prices! I have told so many family and friends about the deals! A few of them are just as obsessed as me! I just wish I had one closer! I travel a little over an hour but will continue to do so for the deals I get! Love, love this place!

I purchased several dehumidifiers and none of them functioned. I guess there is a reason why this stuff made it to Macbid. My recommendation stay with the simple things. Too much work and time wasted for junk even with buyer guarantee. They need to get a handle on this. How much comes back?
