Items pictured are NOT correct. They take pics of only the good side. Lots of broken items, missing parts, used items. That still have dirt n pet hair in them. Air filters that are dirty and clearly used. Be very cautious when purchasing. Get the insurance on items. Especially furniture & Electronics. Sweepers, cleaners, tools etc. If you get a broken item MARK THE BOX on all sides. So others don't buy THEIR GARBAGE. We have bought from there several times. And have returned SEVERAL items. Who every does the inspection of items. Must be blind. Or doesn't care that they are lying about the item. Staff gets rude when asking for help.
Got off work to head that way 1hour 20 minute drive.
{went to restroom before heading that way.
Started off great-got waited on fast.
Was told to stand over by TURBO -next to a mens restroom and a desk.
Guy approached me [customer] said can I use the restroom-I said sure lady at the desk seen me direct him.
Here is where the fun begins Tino the fella came to me to gather my item-could not find it.
Sometime went by, he got some help.
To his surprise he was standing next to it
I went past the yellow line 6 inches-he said get behind that line.
I said ok, he handed me the items I bought.
I said thank you [I waited a while- so I had to go to the bathroom.
He said no do not use that restroom.
I said its an emergency, please make an exception.
He said no no exceptions.
I used it anyway.
When leaving a security guy
Said dont ever use that restroom again.
Said i was being disrespecftful
Said i used the word piss.
Far from the truth I said pee.
Seems like a very toxic enviroment
Customer service is rude unprofessional and down right mean. Don't cross them because they'll freeze your account.
I have been purchasing items at MAC for the last 6 months. I have been very pleased with the purchases. I have bought items I never could afford at regular stores. Any higher price electronics I get insurance but other purchases went well.
Mac.bid has everything and anything you can think of at their multiple locations. About 90% of all items I have won have been in perfect shape. The other 10% have either been missing pieces or damaged but most have been fixable. Common sense should tell you to stay away from anything electronic or high priced without opting in for their buyers insurance. Remember someone didn't want the item you're trying to win for one reason or another. Enjoy smart bidding on Mac.bids.
Once I went to pick up a vacuum cleaner. They said I won two vacuums for the same exact price. (The second vacuum was filthy and well used - open box.) I believed it to be a glitch in their system, but still had to pay for two vacuums. This week, I bid on a suitcase. At the end of the auction, I was sure I had won the item. However, the app didn't give the pop-up message it usually does and I did not receive a confirmation email. (Yes, I checked of my spam.) Yesterday, I got a "reminder" email to pick up my suitcase before 6pm. I didn't see this email until after work and my item has already been abandoned and my credit card has been charged. Customer service says they are sorry. This is what you will get when you use this auction site. Beware.
They have employees that work there to bid on the auction items to run the price up.,( shrill bidding as it's known and illegal). I paid for items and drove an hour to get them, they told me that my account was suspended and that I had No items there that belonged to me. Ignorant ASF! Have not received a refund and they won't return my call. Look at pa Megan's law and enter the zip code for any of their locations, you'll see plenty of PEDOPHILES working at every location. PEDOPHILES and convicted FELONS is all they hire! KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHILDREN!
Their advertising prices ar double... check on internet before you buy...
They randomly suspended my account after I already had spent hours bidding on stuff and had stuff to pick up tomorrow. No communication whatsoever. I called and called and finally got someone and they said my account was linked to somebody who has been suspended. I've never had another account or gave my card etc to anyone. I've already spent a bunch of money. They claim they will refund me yet haven't seen the money yet. They said I can appeal their decision but that I'll lose everything I already had won. They are a very sleezy company. Highly recommend you stay away.
Had a very good experience with Jamie at the Gastonia Mac discount with a return. I found her to be very helpful and pleasant. She took time to explain some of the processes that I wasn't familiar with. Hope you know she's a treasure!
I just purchased a HP printer and picked it up today. It had been "gutted" of the most expensive components, i.e. Toner cartridges. I paid a total of $164 for the printer that sells for $329, which would include toner ($246). I now have a printer that may or may not work for a total cost of $410 that I could buy new under warranty at full retail for $329.
"Missing pieces" is one thing, but "gutted" is another thing altogether!
Buyer beware. I will tell everyone I meet to avoid Mac Discount like the plague.
Bought a space heater that just said open box and when i got it home it wouldn't power on. Opened the back to see if something was shorted out and thier was dust on the fan and dead bugs inside! Just spend a little more and buy it new. They are selling used products
Items purchased from this site seem like a good deal. Until you actually have them in hand.
Open box=returned or might be broken, missing parts, dirty, used, non working, broken in a million pieces, etc.
Buyer beware! These Amazon returns are there as disposed of merchandise. Amazon vendors must do something with returns, so they pay to shred them.or send them here.
The buyers premium and lot fee is just added fodder to increase the company's bottom line.
After purchasing about 10 items here as open box... it's hohum. Now I have to store or throw this stuff away.
If it's too good to be true, it most likely is!
Please guide yourself accordingly.
Good people, good deals. Assurance insurance as described, no hassel. Will continue to bid on products. Does help to inspect products before bidding
Like the other reviews, don't bid on this stuff. I bought 3 different items and each one was junk. Bought a room humidifier and it had to be several years old because it had lime build up on it and covered in dirt. They had to know that but still just listed it as open box. There's a reason this stuff is all returns.
Having been the high bidder at the end of allotted time with the site stating I am the high bidder it doesn't always work out that way. Next morning you awake to find that a $1 bid AFTER TIME RAN OUT was applied. I am guessing that an employee wanted the item and having heard from employees and ex employees how they bid up on items, and use nefarious schemes to get whichever items that they want for themselves. In the past three days I ended as high bid and lost by $1 the next morning. I called and the response I got was "Yeah sometimes that happens" actually it happens allot. I was also told that MAC BID is perfectly within its legal right to bid up an item to gain a higher price since they state outright in their terms that they will do this and if you don't like it don't bid. They will go toe to toe with you if they feel you are an agressive bidder and take all that they can get out of you. Though HIGHLY unethical and creepy that profess that they are within their legal right to be sleazy like that. To put it in a single word I would say "corrupt".
If you are going to bid there get the 7 dollar insurance so you can return it the microwave i got was a dud would not heat and said like new would have to say more like damage almost 40 down the drain, think i can fix it, should have just went to Lowes or somewhere and got a new one and paid the retail price for what it will cost to fix this one did not get a deal on this
I have been bidding for several weeks and "won" about a dozen items. About half of my "wins" were broken, used, or missing key parts. Cheap pressure washer missing wand, walk way solar lights missing the spikes that permit them to be driven into ground, telescopic fishing pole broken in half, shoe caddy cabinet with damaged panel and no assembly instructions, tin snips that were so used they were almost worn out, and so on. On the other hand we got a Koi pond pump for $2, new in the box ($50 value). So this business should be called the M@C Bid Auction and Casino. You might "win" occasionally, but not every time. There is a reason for the "no returns" policy. I'm afraid M@C Auction and Casino is in the business of disposing of the returns or unsold merch for Amazon, Target, Walmart, and any other retail business with a return policy. Ironic- M@C Auction and Casino is selling the returned merch, but they themselves have a no-return policy.
Actually won bids, no time left, bid closed and I actually won, five minutes later I check purchase to pay, it's not there. I've even tried to bib on a item that I've won just to make sure and it will tell me that the bid is closed. I've had several item taken away and this is very frustrating after spending my time on this, not anymore, I'm done with MAC BID! Scammed!
Answer: No, there is one on the sure now. Beware of purchasing items you can't view ahead of time. Go see it before you bid on it.
Answer: They simply do not care how long you have to wait. Just hope the driver didn't find your item to be pretty cool or something his girlfriend would really like to have.
Answer: 15% + $3 + tax try bidding and being high bidder on an item for $1 and end up paying 3× that amount.
