Communication?
January 9, 2019

Yesterday morning, I went on line to look up to make sure they still had the wrenched I wanted to purchase. Well, the Port Richey store had them for the $59.00 price but were out. The Tarpon Springs store had them but they were listed for $89.00. So I got on the chat thing with Lowes and asked about it. They said I could order them at that price. I told them I needed them for a job today so I really needed to be able to pick them up. I told the tarpon store had them and asked if I printed out the advertisement online could I get them for the same price. The chat person said, "sure, they will match the lowest price price. Well, the Tarpon manager told me that they could not do it the price was old. It was and is still online at Lowe's. Com. I was very upset, drove all the way, spent all the time making sure before I went there and still nothing! I have been a long time customer of Lowes, but this one may just do it for me. My husband and I were planning on purchasing carpet from Lowe's in Newport TN for the upstairs in our home and engineered hardwood for a room in our basement. We were excited because they offered free installation including moving of furniture and removal of old carpet. Plus 10 percent off. It sounded great. We had to pay 70$ for someone to come out to measure which we understood we would be refunded with our purchase. This process took a month but that was okay. When we met with Gerry on Saturday to finalize our purchase the price was a lot more than we expected. There were dozens of add ons including extra for the moving of "oversized furniture ". Gerry blamed this completely on the installers but they are paid by Lowe's so that's not an excuse. None of our furniture is oversized. It's just norma furniture. Every bed and dresser in each room were extra. This was cut out and pasted at the bottom of the proposal which was strange also. I honestly think the whole deal was a scam. My husband and I were loyal customers of Lowe's and all of our appliances were purchased there.

Ignoring the customer
January 2, 2019

I should know better by now but today I went into the Lowes in Willoughby Ohio to purchase a new stove. There was almost no customers in the store but plenty of staff. In the appliance department there were 4 staff members bs'ing to themselves. One actually looked up and asked what we wanted. We said we were looking at stoves. He went back to his bull session. Not getting any information we needed we finally left the store and went to Home Depot. What a difference. We purchased the new stove at Home Depot. Their staff actually seems to enjoy their jobs and the customers. This was the last time at Lowes.

I needed gift cards for my father who lives out of the country and loves to shop at Lowe's for "all of his nicknacks" the day after Christmas and then fly home. I ordered 12 gift cards (the money was pooled by family members) Because I thought it would be cute to personalize them. I ordered them in plenty of time according to the dates established by the website. I was not charged until they shipped at which time I was informed they would not come in until the 27th of December. My father will be gone by then. Not to mention they double charged me and froze Mt account. I called immediately and I asked if they could void the cards and refund my money. The solution I was given was keep them for next year... I truly hate this company. HOME DEPOT FOR LIFE!

Lots of problems ordering appliances here! We special ordered a microwave. It came with a broken piece. The person in appliances wrote down a number for me to call. It was a scam number to win a free cruise. Special order dishwasher was wrong color. They said we had picked it up the day we ordered it. Difficult to do on a special order! Finally came (late) and was damaged. Won't shop here again.

I placed an order to have carpet installed in one of my rental houses for $1922 with the expectation that it would be installed in the normal 2-3 week timeline that it has taken in the past. I called and went by the store and left phone messages for someone to call me back 8 times and no one ever would to let me know when the carpet would come in or be installed. I left 3 messages for Rodney Geeslin the store manager to call me back and he never did until I called a fourth time. I ended up talking to the CPO(Central Processing Office) 6 more times with poor customer service. They offered me what they think is compensation for it taking 8 weeks to get the carpet installed and having poor customer service. It is not even close to what it cost me for having to wait 5 additional weeks to get the carpet installed with missed rent of $250 a week for a total of $1,250 and the headaches that came along with it. This store is very poorly managed and many of the employees have no clue what is going on. This store and the whole experience reminds me of a Kmart. Because of all of this I will never buy carpet from Lowe's in Trussville, AL again and will definitely tell all of my investor friends and leave every review I can to let other people know what they can expect from Lowe's and to not buy carpet there either.

I ordered trex decking with all the related decking materials. I was informed it would be delivered 12/17/18. On 12/17, I called to inquire as to the delivery time as I did not receive a phone call. Two of my calls were picked up and I could hear the store background noise but no one spoke into the phone. The next three calls were attempts to speak with a manager. All three times I was hung up on or call dropped during the transfer. I called the corporate help number and they listened and were able to tell me my delivery was on 12/20. I informed the person, I physically was in the store on 12/13/18 and they confirmed 12/17 as the delivery date. I also asked why no one called me to inform me of the change. I was told that maybe it can be tomorrow. I was also told a regional manager would call me. That has not happened either. My advice is if you cannot take it with you, order from a locally owned lumber company. Should anything change I will amend my review. For now Columbus Morse crossing lowes customer service is pathetic.

I'm just wondering if it's typical for all Lowe's stores to pull the Christmas decorations off the shelves a week and a half before Christmas. Went into my local Lowe's to buy some ornaments I'd been wanting and the only things left out were clearance laser lights and trees. The shelves that previously held the decorations were all full of storage containers, or just empty. It was bizarre. I asked 2 salespeople roaming around why all the decorations were already put away and the only answer I got was "Yeah, we put that stuff away. We already sold a lot." Huh?

Lowes
December 14, 2018

What I'm noticing here in FL local to me is Lowes puts an Out of Order sign up on their wood cutting saw about 1.5 hrs before closing time! I get they want to go home and get task done but it also means we take our business ElseWhere! They need to get their act together! If you cut wood that means you either need to make a timeframe for these things for customers OR quit allowing employees to put sign up before they actually close!

Never received item
December 13, 2018

Ordered item on Black Friday online. The email receipt states that they will send me other emails on the order/delivery status, this was never done. I called Lowes helpdesk and they stated that it was delivered when it was never received by me. They opened a tracking ticket with FedEx and had me follow up with FedEx on the delivery. I called Fedex and they stated that the package was lost and to call Lowes to start lost package processing. I called Lowes and asked for the item to be reshipped. They said ok and a store manager will call me in 24hrs. That never happened. I call Lowes again and this time they said that they sent the request to the wrong store and that a store manager from the correct store will call me in 24 hrs. Again that never happened. Lowes failures:- email updates on delivery status was never sent- store managers never called- why should I be the one to call FedEx when it wasn't me who contracted with them to deliver the item. Take away: NEVER shop online with Lowes. Go to there competitors instead or even better Amazon as they will make sure everything is right.

Never Again
December 7, 2018

I had the worst experience from start to finish with Lowes delivery for a new dryer. This was my first and last thing I will every buy from Lowes that needs delivery. I ordered it online and received the email conformation. About a week later I get the second email with the estimated delivery date a few weeks out. It said in the email I would get a call the night before or the morning of with my 2 hour window for delivery. The night before I didn't get a call. Today I waited to 9am and still didn't get a call about the time. I called the 800 number on the email and the first lady says I cant see anything here about the delivery time. She transferred me to another lady that was able to tell me I am number 6 on the delivery route today. I asked about what time she thinks that will be? She said there is no way to tell. The driver will call you when he leaves drop off number 5 on his way to your house. I gave her my cell number and told her to have them call me on the cell as I have to go to work. I didn't hear anything all day. I returned home and there was a message at the house saying we will be there between 2-4 today. I got home just before 2 and was thankful I didn't miss them. The delivery truck arrived in that time frame. I was outside working and spoke to the guys as they got out of the truck. They dropped the lift and asked If I wanted the dryer in the box or out? Then They asked if they can leave it right there at the street. After I said I would like it in the garage with the washer he did. He had me sign off on it and walked out. They didn't hook up the dryer vent, power cord or plug it in to make sure it was working fine. In all my years of having things delivered to my home this was by far the worst experience I have ever had hands down.

Refused to honor warranty
November 30, 2018

Lowe's installed a new floor in our home. The floor is defective. We tried for a full year to get Lowe's to make it right, and they simply ignored us. Dozens of emails, phone calls and letters were sent. Lowe's contracts have an arbitration clause forbidding the customer from suing them. When we finally sent an arbitration demand, they ignored that also. In desperation, we did sue them. The judge agreed and sympathized, but ruled that their arbitration clause is enforceable, even if they ignore our demand. People who do business with Lowe's should be aware that if they screw up, you're stuck. All they have to do is ignore you

Poor store layout, poor product organization on shelves, poor product quantities, many many sales people who are totally inept. Only good thing and the reason I shop there at all is the military discount they give. I can't believe they are still in business, I'm sure it's just a matter or time that their managers and sales people are on the unemployment line with former sears employees. Sad, they could have been as good as Home Depot if they copied them.

Not stand by customer
November 20, 2018

This company does not stand behind the product. If it may be the product defect or installation, was given the run around and told nothing could be done about our flooring that is only 2 years old. Was told to call pergo, service pro is a joke with their installation and just push you around with the comment. It's out of warranty... how can it be out of warranty if it was in fact never installed correctly. We will never shop at lowes again since they dont stand by the customer but are more than happy to take your money.

Poor Employee Training
November 18, 2018

Very disappointed in Lowes, Hanford, Ca. I Will limit my shopping there. 'Good News" is Lowes seems to have to more employees then Home Depot. 'Not so good news' is that half of them are of little help. Some seem to just walk around like Zombies. Others seem to be on some kind of a 'Walkathon'. If asked a question or you seeking assistance, they may stop for a very brief period only to give a quick vague answer, usually referring you to "ask some one else in that department." Then they resume their never ending 'walkathon'. Going to customer service was another indication of poor employee training. Usually 'manned' by females with attitudes, I felt most uncomfortable and will never seek CS again. One actually made an effort to face away. Maybe because she didn't like my face or my political T Shirt Logo?
Nonetheless, they should be trained to be respectful and courteous to ALL customers.
The young female who is CSA at lumber checkout, also hardly smiled, almost no eye contact at all, whose attitude was also borderline rude. Even if I am an old and ugly guy with a controversal T Shirt, I am a customer. I pay your salary via purchases. I spent $1500 this one visit alone.
To the other half of desireable employees, "keep up the good work!"
To the other half of the ' notso desireable' employees, "shape up or ship out!"
On second thought, "YOU 'NOTSOs' ARE ALL FIRED!" IF I was upper management

Bought refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Spent $6,000.00@ Lowes on these. Delivery failed to show up yesterday, no one called. We sold all the old appliances so we had everything from freezer in coolers and end up losing all our food. Rescheduled for today between 11 and 2 at 230 I called to find out they may show up around 4pm. Just plain terrible service and Lowes didn't really care. We request 1st delivery today were told they couldn't tell Schneider delivery how to schedule the deliveries.

We recently bought a stove and refrigerator from Lowes in Queensborough British Columbia, Sales people were great, the delivery and haul away was terrible. When they delivered the stove and fridge, the delivery guy will not remove the fridge, insisting that we had to remove the fridge doors so that he could remove the fridge through the kitchen door.We were not told by LOWES that we had to remove the fridge door for the delivery guys To haul away the fridge, They left with the fridge and told me to remove the door so that can move the fridge when they return with the new fridge. Further to this we wanted the delivery guys to leave the fridge downstairs and take away the one that is there, instead of taking away the one they brought from upstairs, which we already moved to the entrance hall, they said they cannot do this since it now becomes 3 moves, All we want then to do is leave the fridge down stairs and take the one that is already downstairs. They said they cannot do that. We still have not received our fridge, we are expecting delivery tomorrow, I have removed the doors of the fridge for the delivery guys, it took me no more than ten minutes to do that. Incidently when Sears delivered the same fridge some 15 years ago they did not have to remove the doors to bring the fridge upstairs

I ordered R-13 insulation from lowes.com over 4 weeks ago, was given an estimated delivery date of 10/3 and still haven't received the insulation yet. Lowe's continues to blame the vendor, but I placed the order with Lowe's, they are responsible for fulfilling that order, keep giving me information that is incorrect and don't seem very motivated to complete the order or "make the customer happy."

Multiple times I have been told someone would call me back and no one has; multiple times I have been given delivery dates which have come and gone with no delivery of the insulation. On top of that, Lowe's has billed my credit card already! That charge will clearly be contested.
