Kudos to the delivery guys for wearing masks while dropping off item. But thumbs down to Lowes in general for not requiring that delivery personnel wear gloves... and clean and disinfect the merchandise that they install.
I've waited for over a month for a garage door. It's past delivery date by 2 weeks. Now my product is with some unknown 3rd party who keeps coming up with excuses why cannot come and charging a ridiculous amount to install! Cannot get anywhere with customer service! You'll just sit on hold for hours to get nowhere and even hung up on!
Expected a little more from the paint department. Virginia, who was trying to make me a paint sample match with the color sample I gave them, had absolutely no idea what she was doing, was just lazy and incompetent. She couldn't figure out how to make the color match, so she just started spitting out lousy explanations and excuses, like " unfortunately" it is so difficult to match a color in a sample size, and that i need to buy a bigger size, and also they don't recommend doing touch ups and, and instead, I'd need to paint the entire wall (what?), and that's because it's just so so so so hard for her (she was referencing the whole paint department) to make a correct paint sample. Does Virginia even understand the purpose and the concept of samples? I didn't know how else and in what language to explain to her that I couldn't just keep buying big sizes of paint that weren't the right color and returning them. She just stood there and argued back. I insisted that she makes another sample. But this time I had to tell her to adjust the color manually, and to add a drop of darker color to the original mix, because the sample kept coming out too light (how hard is it to figure that out?). She was unhappy that I weren't giving up and making her do this extra work, and she definitely showed it, but she still had to do it. The color came out spot on, go figure. I told her that obviously when she puts an effort in actually doing her job, it works out. LOL, she had nothing to say, and walked away. Needless to say, I am not impressed. I went to Home Depot to see how they would manage. They matched it with no problems and no attitude, so I'll be buying paint there. I will not take my business to Lowe's with that kind of nonsense.
I love the excellent customer service, friendliness, and hard work we've always received from Lori at the Naperville, IL store! Every time I go in there she is the most friendly person there and able to point me in the right direction. Most importantly I admire how well she keeps the customers at ease and things organized during the current pandemic. The way we do things has changed quickly but she's always able to adapt to the situation. She needs to be publically recognized by corporate on their Facebook and Twitter social media pages.
She's why we come back.
I placed a on line order and totally treated like $#*!
I spent 10k with them last year and will never spend another dime with them.
First let me say, we had a fence installed and ended up receiving $750 back because of all the errors on their end. Then today happened...
We are redoing our laundry room - order cabinets - got an email yesterday that they were ready for pick up. Went to Lowe's parked in the spot called let them know we were there
30 mins later call back because no cabinets had come out to us yet
Had to call twice because no one answered
Then when the customer service lady answered she said it will be out shortly and hung up before I could ask a question
Call back no one answers
Call again. Same girl and which I say "you just hung up on me before I could ask if it would just be easier to come in side to get our order ". She replied it's on it's way now" and again hung up on me before I could get a word in.
TWENTY MINS later (this is now 50 mins we've been waiting)
Bring out the cabinets every single one busted - looks like someone attempted to glue them back together and a chunk missing off the back side of one of them.
Go inside - to swap them. No more cabinets.
Then had to go to customer service to return EVERYTHING.
Waited in line 20 mins because they had 1 person working the customer service area, mind you this area is also doing pick ups and returns.
Get my refund and cancelled my other 3 orders - I am a fool for going back, but that was the last time. Waste of my afternoon. Also district manager needs to have a talk with the store manager, clearly he is lacking in direction and leadership

Save yourself a headache and do not order from Lowes. I placed an order for a dishwasher on 4/2 and promptly received an email that it would be delivered on 5/6. On 5/5 (the day before delivery) Lowes calls at 5:30 PM and says they have no idea where my order is or when it will be fulfilled. I wasn't happy since I had arranged time off of work and had already left for the day. I do understand delays happen, but why could they not have contacted me earlier? This morning I receive an email saying my order had been changed and it would deliver on 5/30, basically another month. I was displeased enough to cancel my order and curious enough to see what would happen if I prompted a new order on the Lowe's website. The delivery date on a new order came up as 5/20/20. No, I did not actually place it.
This situation is apparently common with Lowes. Many of these one-star reviews echo a similar experience. I would not have minded a delay, with proper communication. However, being put in the back of the delivery line without even an apology for their screw-up shows how little Lowes values it's customer base. I was just lucky to learn this lesson on a non-essential item like a dishwasher.
P.S. My dishwasher will be arriving next week through Home Depot.
Lowes says, Together, deliver the right home improvement products, with the best service and value, across every channel and community we serve." The truth is they are no longer able to be trusted. I order a supply of lumber from Oaks. The order got split. The made me pickup one of the orders and delivered the second. I called to ask why no one ever called back. The pick up order I had to get. My delivery which was suppose to come yesterday still hasn't arrived. At 830 am I got a call to say the truck broke down, at 330 pm they said the delivery would be by 5 pm. At 6 pm the said I wasn't going to get it. Instead of rescheduling they are making me call to schedule another delivery. PROBLEM IS NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I THOUGHT hOMEDEPOT SUCKED. I may go back to them.
I have always thought Lowes is a reputable company compares to the orange store... apparently I am dead wrong about that. I have ordered an above ground swimming pool from Lowes and have received notification for the order. Knowing the order is in, I have ordered a new pump and construction material to build a deck around it. Just when I was trying to find out when the item is shipping, I received a notification that my order have been cancelled. When I confronted Lowes about it, they said they sold out. I tried to order the pool from other places and found out everywhere else is selling the pool for twice as much due to COVID 19. I have a feeling Lowes is holding out, so they can do some price gouging like all the other stores... so disappointing.
Can anyone tells me if this is a violation of contract since both party have agreed on the price and they have issued me a notification and an invoice #? It may very possible be a glitch on Lowes' end, but they should still honor the price with a loss or provide me with an option of the same price when they restock. This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and I will for sure tell everyone I know not to shop there.
I dealt with Jake in flooring today. O. M. G. he was awesome! Having never installed flooring in a motorhome, needless to say I had many questions. Jake took time, explained everything to me and answered questions before I asked them. So nice and understanding. I will go to Lowe's for everything we need. Incredible customer service. Every time we've gone there, we've had a super positive experience. A+++ Thank you Lowes!
(When I tried to submit this review, it said I already submitted one so this would replace it. I wish that didn't happen because I had an equally amazing experience with Darryl when we bought our flooring just a couple of weeks ago. Jake helped today with moulding for our floor. Both men were so helpful and kind. Darryl AND Jake were wondetful).
DO NOT SHOP THE STORE ON UNIVERSITY IN EDINBURG, TX. Just tried Lowes curbside pickup. Don't bother! LOwes sent an email stating the order was ready. When I arrived I called the number to let the store employee know I had arrived - No Answer EVER! My wife and I waited for 45 minutes to one hour and no one ever came to the car to deliver our order. We went to the contractor pickup thinking maybe we needed to pick up there - NOPE! We went back to the parking spot. There was another lady waiting almost as long as we were. There were store employees milling around, staring at us like we were crazy to even think they were going to fill the order. I mean NO ONE bothered to help. They just didn't care. We finally gave up and went home. Once home I had an email from Lowes stating the order had been filled. As if they actually expected to be paid for nothing. My credit card company will hear about this! This is a scam store with service predicated on promising things to the customer that they NEVER deliver on. DO NOT SHOP THE STORE ON UNIVERSITY IN EDINBURG, TX.
Please all my fellow military families - do NOT shop or order online from Lowes! They do not care about their customers. Ordered online two weeks ago - no one knows where items are or when they will be delivered! Even though you pay Lowes your hard earned money, they say "oh, sorry- this product is shipped from an outside vendor, so we don't have any tracking information for the item... basically the attitude is "we have your money, so figure it out for yourself" AND don't even think about calling their customer service department... unless you literally have an hour to wait on hold! JUst to honestly get no help at all!
Never can find help in the stores. If you get one chances are they dont know what they are doing. Give wrong info can never find what you want.
4 weeks ago i 0kaced online order to be shipped to my business. After several calls to the corporate number i received a shipping date. Product never arrived. Then i was sent to a store out of my area i was told they had in stock drove there and they didn't have what I wanted. Today placed online order to be picked up curbside at my local store got there and no one would answer the phone in customer service and no one was outside to assist. I was forced to go inside to pick up order. Very frustrated with the store. I realize the issue with the covid but if you are going to offer the service then it should not be a hassle
Ordered items for delivery - can not cancel online, just keeps stating to call customer service - waited for hours on hold with calls to customer service with no response. Lowes is a scam business.
Ordered a range online after viewing one in the store. Got a delivery date and on the morning of the expected delivery received this message: "It shipped to our distribution center on 4/15/20 but did not arrive in time to make the truck we received yesterday. I will have to reschedule your delivery."
Got a new delivery date scheduled and the day before got this message: "The range did not come in on today's truck. I will have our customer service desk call to check if they can get an ETA and call you to schedule."
Still waiting on customer service call.
I went in to buy a riding lawnmower today, a d stood around for 20 minutes without being helped. Finally I tracked a employee down who said he could page a person who worked in that department. After waiting another 20 minutes another employee walks by and asks if I need help. I tell him I wish to purchase a certain riding mower. He proceeds to tell me to take a picture of the tag and take it to customer service to purchase and arrange delivery. So I take the picture, wait in line at customer service, and after another 10 minute wait, I'm advised that this isn't the process. The employee proceeds to page someone to come to lawn and garden for customer assistance. After waiting another 10 minutes, I decide to leave. I stop near the exit to ask another employee about speaking with a manager, and she says she has been paging one for the last few minutes because of other customer issues. I'm very disappointed in the customer service at the Egg Harbor township, nj Lowes. I was looking forward to purchasing my mower today.
Consumers: Please do not spend your money at this Lowes. It is impossible for us to believe that Lowes believes it will survive in Forsyth, Illinois. Over the years their employee attitudes have totally went to HELL. Their young people have no respect, they do NOT want to listen, they bully older people, and they are lazy and indignant. We have attempted to purchase a washer, a grill, plants in the past six months. We meet up with POOR customer service if any, we are entitled to Military discount according to their program, which is questioned even when information is already at their fingertips, when we question how much discount comes to they are unable to tell you, I guess they are NOT "capable" of providing that information as it is over their head... I guess it is true you get what you pay for... meaning... you get to deal with people that are rude, mouthy, disrespectful, basically the bottom of the barrell. We live where we have access to other Lowes stores, Menards, Home Depot... farm stores... the list goes on... the only reason we go to this Lowes is because our children live in Decatur. We are looking forward to the day this Lowes closes as it is a black eye on our community. 270 bad reviews, that should be an eye opener for corporate... some of their reviews suggest corporate does NOT care. Think they will when they close their doors...?
Lowe's in bellefontaine is horrible and the supervisor Jody is so roud she hung up on me cuz I'm frustrated my washer never came when suppose to do. It's taken then 6 hours to finally tell me my washer isn't coming today when it was suppose to come. I got the run around all day. Worst place ever I will not be back. I will never buy and have delivered
Due to Covid the online order I placed yesterday did not get pulled yesterday as usually happens. I called this am and they didn't know when nor would they look up my order to tell me when it might be ready. I called back again several hours later thinking someone would be more helpful/willing to check for me. The employee that just answered the phone to let me know that no orders will be pulled and fillable this week at the Lowes in Auburn WA. WHY not say that instead of there may be a delay. They should give an estimate or say it could be 1 week +
So we started with a new kitchen and was well taken care of AT FIRST - now, I have been calling for a month with no one returning calls for that last 2 weeks - counter top install TOMORROW and they still have not sent someone to finish with a brace for the counter top. I had to hire a different contractor to come and do what Lowes promised and has not done. I STILL have issues with my cabinets. Have called the store several times and main office in North Carolina and STILL NOTHING! I had serious surgery a couple of weeks ago - no sink or anything to do dishes with... a major HEALTH issue for me!
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
