The quality of their products is unparalleled, and their dedication to customer service is something I have never experienced before. From the moment I placed my order, I felt taken care of. The excitement I felt when my package arrived was matched only by the joy I felt when I used my LL Bean gear on my latest adventure. It's clear that LL Bean isn't just a brand; it's a lifestyle.

Flannel Sheets
March 27, 2023

Love flannel sheets! Long enough for flat sheet to be tucked in generously. Will definitely buy from them again.

Trying to return a coat that had feathers coming out of the seam. They said it was a natural progression of wear. Well, I hope there are some feathers left to warm me.

I did get paint on the coat that was not the reason I was returning it. It's the second time I bought a coat and feathers come out of the seam.

I will be unsubscribing to their site.

I purchased shirts from LL Bean - dress shirts - and all of them developed a specific defect. A set of holes (little tears) appeared - regularly spaced around the collar. On six different shirts. In the same place.

I sent pictures to customer service, asking whether there had been other reports of poor quality with these shirts. There was no meaningful response.

After years of purchasing from LL Bean, I have now shifted to other companies.

Company lies with their return policy: refuses to exchange unwearable jacket, less than 3mos old. It's ruined shirts, seatbelts, and my babies by shedding in a manner that is absolutely unrepairable and the fibers cannot be removed even in great light with tweezers from my shirts. L.L.Bean calls it "normal wear and tear", refusing to honor their exchange policy for a $100 jacket that is unwearable now. All customer service agents said send it in, we'll exchange it! But when I did, the agent I spoke with was so rude, telling me I ruined it, I cried. How did I ruin it? I stay home with my boys, leaving the house one day a week to go to the grocery store? I know how to wash clothes and am carefully diligent... Cannot endorse $100 for less than 3mos.

Cold hands
January 31, 2023

I purchased Waterproof 650 Down Gloves for cold-weather hiking. Some of the reviews said the gloves didn't keep hands warm, and I should have paid attention. These gloves are okay at 50 degrees but if the air temperature is any lower, my hands got very cold within about two minutes of being outside. I'm very disappointed and am returning the gloves.

Just got off a chat with LL Bean's customer service about some boots of theirs that are only five years old and are starting to fall apart and was told they "are not repairable." Great. Bean used to stand by their products, but apparently no more. So sad, another reputable company gone down the drain. Guess I'll have to find another brand...

My Favorite Mocassins
January 29, 2023

I am an older woman who has lived in and loved your clothes for many decades. They are very well-made, comfortable to wear, and hold up well over the years. Your moccasins and slippers are some of my favorites due to their exceptional comfort and construction and I am never disappointed. However, I find that the leather ties on the front of the shoes and slippers are not well secured and frequently become untied. This has caused me to trip and fall on several occasions and sustaining minor injuries only. I respectfully am suggesting that you find a way to secure these ties to avoid serious injury to your elder customers. Recently while shopping in your Voorhees NJ store for new slippers and shoes, I met another older couple who expressed exactly the same concern. This woman stated that she had fallen over the loose undone ties in her slippers. I will not be purchasing any further slippers or moccasins until this problem is acknowledged and properly addressed. These are a real safety hazard to your customers. Please find a way to encourage me to stay with LL Bean. Until then, I am buying my shoes and slippers from My Pillowo websites.
Thank you.

I returned a pair of boots to them because they do not fit, and have been waiting for my refund of $154. I called customer service and told that it takes 4-5 weeks to process a refund? I think that is a little long to hold onto someone's $$$$ and maybe needs a review by the attorney Gen or maybe the help of Channel 7 consumer help line.

I am an older person and have LIVED in your perfect fit bootcut pants for
Many, many years. I have several almost new pairs, several used pairs that I wear at the gym and those that are almost worn out I save for gardening.
They are the best pants ever, until now! I just ordered two more pairs in my normal large petite size onoy to have to return them because the fit
Has changes and the length is not onlyo 1 3/4 inches longer but also wider at the bottom of the pants. I am WILDLY DISAPPOINTED and hope that this is simply a small glitch in your manufacturers cutting. The
Pants are advertised as having a 27 inch inseam, when it reality it is 28 3/4 inches, making them too long unless I hem them.

I hope you will take this comment seriously. I LIVE for Beans and dress
In your Pima Cotton t-shirts daily, year 'round, but now I'm not sure what to do about pants. Listen to a dedicated consumer.

Thank you,
Rebecca Ellis

I've bought many things through the years from Bean. The first ting I noticed was the waffle shirts were half as thick and now on the round collar long sleeve shirt the material around the top is much less substantial. Bean you are forcing me to go elswhere.

Gone are the quality days of old
January 19, 2023

Items that used to be high quality are now more like Walmart goods. The costly sheets I ordered, after less than half a year, resemble ones in my closet that are 25 years old. The return of said sheets has taken over a month so far. My money is tied up until the long-awaited refund comes through. It is indeed an unnecessary long wait. After all, when you purchase, they take your money IMMEDIATELY. Very poor service when it takes over a month to get that money back due to a faulty product.

LL Bean was a company that catered to people who were willing and able to pay for higher quality clothing. Higher quality also meant clothes that would last for years, and still look good. Therefore, LL Bean styles and cuts were classic. And, recognizing that their garments were meant for the long haul, they included an excellent customer service and guarantee program that ensured return customers, and through word of mouth brought in more. Sadly, the Bean family gave up the company and handed it over to a batch of modern stylists who are making it into another Abercombie and Fitch Store of stylish garments. Churning out clothes for younger tastes and hawking cheaply made garments. LL Bean was the one US company where you could buy excellent wool clothing. Their Maine guide pants were originally 32 oz wool, then it went to 22 oz wool, then 20. Their three season pants were orginally15 oz wool, then it went to 7.5 oz wool and then disappeared. I have LL Bean pants that I bought over thirty years ago. One was the wool whipcord trousers. I bought another pair recently, The fabric on the old pants is far more tightly woven than the new ones, and it has real leather inserts for the front pockets unlike the cheap wool and faux leather ones of the new pair. In short, one of the reasons I'm now on a real fitness program is so I can fit into my old LL Bean stuff as it is so much better made than the garbage their selling now. So, if you or a relative have old wool clothes from LL Bean, don't throw them out. They're far better quality than anything that company is selling now. They can probably be easily mended and altered to fit you or others in your family.

Sent back slippers for exchange. The size estimator on the site was way off. LLBean received the return today but told me they will get around to it in 4 -5 weeks. My options- none. I can write return to sender on the box when the replacement comes.
I won't be buying from them again.

I ordered my husband some jeans for Christmas 2022. They were a little too tight so I went ahead and returned them on December 26th. UPS informed me they arrived at LL Bean on the 29th. Today is January 10th and when I checked with their customer service department, I was told that it may be a few more weeks till they process my return. They are only processing returns from December 22nd as of today. So by the time I get my refund (if I ever will) it could be several more weeks. Through the years I have purchased lots of items for my husband from Bean, but after this I am done! So disappointed in their customer service. BTW, I had already re-ordered the next size up the very day I returned the first pair. The agent I talked to on the phone was very kind, and I realize it's not her fault. So I told her to please tell management about this conversation.
She said she would.

LL Bean Duck Boots
January 6, 2023

LL Bean makes very poor quality duck boots. Wore them for 3 months and the seams already ripped and the tread on the bottom were gone. Went to send them back and they said they were not replacing them due to "accessive wear on them". They don't stand behind their product and if I were you, I would never buy their cheap and garbage products.

WORST customer service ever. Advised all my family and friends not to purchase from them anymore. They told me to send in my moccasin slippers that are $80 for a review bc the strap broke off in icy conditions. The lady just told me I shouldn't be wearing them outside and they can't support the return. I do understand altho her best solution was to offer me 20% off to purchase a NEW pair. LOL get a life LL Bean you money hungry animals. Disappointed I spent so much money on a product that doesn't last even a year. I have found Minnetonka and DEARFOAM are *******x better. And for a fraction of the price. Take your money to these companies instead! They legit charged me $6.50 for shipping the moccasins back to them for review also. Extremely disappointed in this company and this experience. My friends and family will NOT be supporting LL bean anymore.
