Well what can I say? They don't mind their sellers peddling fakes and imports and they don't mind taking your money, but they do mind giving it back and do absolutely NOTHING to help you. In fact they keep sending emails promising that they are "looking into it", while doing SFA. While ultimately the auction houses are responsible for the shopping experience, my view is that the platform also has a role to protect customers from unscrupulous vendors. They do not, and I will NEVER use them again. Utter rubbish. EBay is better! Shop with them at your own risk.

I have had a good experience every time I have used LiveAuctioneers. The shipping is often rather high; as a result, I use auction houses that are near me within a several hour drive.

The website had me bidding against myself so that I paid more than I had to for the items. It told me I was the only bidder, yet it kept raising the bid. When I emailed the auction house, they told me it was Live Auctioneers fault and that while they sympathized with my plight, they could not fix the problem. I than emailed LiveAuctioneers several times, explaining the problem, and I even answered a pro forma email that I received from them asking what I thought, and I again explained the problem to them. They never even gave me the courtesy of a reply. I had to pay the higher price to obtain the item.

Easy to navigate, clear descriptions, professional photos.
They have a great number of auction houses that you can search at one time. Very easy to use.
Site does a nice job of finding offerings for the artist I 'm interested in. But the site adds of miscellaneous info where I have no interest.
Thus the site can be non friendly.
Not enough locations, hard to search, doesn't save searches, you should be able to see an items location when you search it, you can't see auctions contact info easily when you have a problem to resolve, and if you are late paying you can't see you have a strike against you until others decline you.
My go to site for researching an artist I want to buy and the going rate on items in many categories.
I enjoyed seeing the variety of materials on sale, but it is to much heavily weighted for jewelry and watch's, neither of which I'm in the market for.
I did participate and purchase several items on the diving equipment auction and I look at the auctions that are selling firearms.
I bid on an Ames cutlass sword and paid $850.00 plus shipping only to find out later it was a reproduction sword only worth $100.00.
Good auctioneering that presents opportunity in a timely fashion... and follow up with winning bids that are swiftly directed to packaging and delivery local and international...
