Had an appointment to service an out of warranty washer. Upon scheduling the appointment, was charged up front for the service (based on the information that I gave them, they "diagnosed" the problem over the phone). When I asked the scheduler what would happen if the washer could not be serviced at that appointment, I was told that there would be a flat rate charge of $125.00 for the technician's visit, and that I would be refunded the difference. Well, it turned out that the "diagnosis" was incorrect, and the technician would need to order the correct part. I later received an email that the part no longer exists, and the machine was unrepairable. A week after the in home appointment, they charged the full amount of the service, and I have repeatedly called their customer service to get refunded the difference in the fee. This has been going on for 10 weeks! Beware of scheduling your repair through LG, and try and find a private company to service your appliance.
Don't buy LG products by mistake. It will motivate you by showing offers, features while buying, be it Khosla Electronics or Great Istran. In 2019, I bought a refrigerator from Khosla for 54,000/-, it had a 10-year compressor warranty. Worse on 2nd Oct 2023, LG mechanic checked and said it will be changed. After 4-5 days another mechanic came and told condenser and bad change for 4000/-. He said that without applying the compressor. Various excuses have been going on for about 15 days. Those who buy will suffer later.
I purchased the LG WM3998HBA washer and dryer machine approximately a year ago, and I can say without hesitation that it has been a complete disappointment. This machine has not only failed to meet my expectations, but it has also exhibited signs of planned obsolescence that make me question the integrity of LG as a brand.
Dryer Dysfunction: One of the most frustrating issues with this appliance is the dryer function. Even when the dryer option is not selected, it inexplicably seems to raise water on the dried clothes. It's not only counterproductive, but also damaging to the clothes themselves. I bought this appliance to simplify my laundry routine, not make it more complicated. The fact that the dryer function malfunctions so soon after purchase is a glaring red flag.
Digital Display Disaster: Another glaring issue with this machine is the digital display, which has been malfunctioning from the beginning. It does not display the numbers properly, making it almost impossible to select the desired settings and monitor the progress of a cycle. This is not just a minor inconvenience but a major flaw in the design of the product.
Planned Obsolescence?: I can't help but suspect that the LG WM3998HBA is intentionally designed to fail shortly after the warranty expires. If you don't purchase the extended maintenance service, you're left completely unprotected and at the mercy of an appliance that seems to be programmed to break down within a year. This is not only frustrating for the consumer but raises serious questions about the brand's commitment to quality and durability.
I expected better from LG, a brand that has been known for producing high-quality appliances.
If there would have been a option to give them negative rating, i would chose that. Ordered tv, it was defective, tried support steps and then in the end, rep refused return request

I purchased the above just over 2 years ago. The first year was working as advertised, then a rapid decline in its efficiency.
The clothes were generally damp after completion of the cycle and the cycle kept resetting-sometimes to taking up to 10 hours a load.
I contacted LG. They sent out a technician who replaced two pumps on 2 separate occasions, replaced the water diverter on another occasion and also replaced the sensor.
The condensation in the drum was huge, so much so that the moisture then escaped from the door onto the floor on every load, despite me cleaning the seal repeatedly and ensuring there was no fluff on the door and seal.
The customer service was so automated. The amount of times I was told "I really want to fix this for you" and "I understand" was incredibly frustrating.
Eventually (after me chasing LG up again and again), I spoke to the resolution team which was a total waste of time. I was told the technician found nothing wrong and the machine was in working order and I would have to contact the service technician myself, if I wanted it looked at again and would be charged if no fault found.
It was like losing an uphill battle.
All I can do now is to advise people never to buy LG products and that I should have looked at LG reviews prior to buying one of their products, as there are countless unfavourable reviews.
Don't waste your money. I wish someone would have mentioned it before spending 2k on a washing machine that broke 4 months later.The so call warranty doesn't work.
This brand new dishwasher doesn't dry and it's so hard to load! There are not enough brackets to hold plates and bowls. The top third rack is worthless.
I purchased a washer and dryer the nicest one the have they were 1300 each I got to sets one for my house and the other for my brothers house the washer door on mine does not closes right Home Depot installer came for recheck and said that door needs to be replaced lg finally sent a technician to address the issue but obviously he didn't know what he's doing he said it's normal because it's new you to apply some pressure I was like no my brothers washer it's not like that so end of story LG doesn't take care of there stuff I won't ever buy an LG again
Refrigerator compressor went out after 5years. LG refuses to fix it. Dealing with customer service is a nightmare. They make you call appliance guys to see if they will come repair.I have called 12 or more appliance companies and they tell me they will not do warranty work on LG appliances. LG doesn't care. I still have not gotten my refrigerator worked on after 2 weeks of back and forth with lg. Never buy an lg appliance. They don't deserve any stars
Owned a new French door fridge msrp close to 4k and little after 2 years it stopped working and it has a 5 year warranty. Lost everything inside the fridge. They came and tried to fix it and it worked for about 48 hours until I went a purchased more food and it stopped working again. After many failed attempts at trying to fix it they gave up and said it's unrepairable and said they would either replace it or give me my money back. That was over a week ago and now they don't want to do either. Now I'm stuck with a garbage piece of plastic in my kitchen and out the cost of the refrigerator. Shame on you LG

My brand new fridge on the freezer side had a defective seal and everything was covered in freezer burn. They were willing to replace the fridge but I was out of luck on the $200 of food their fridge damaged. They refused to put us thru to a supervisor. I ended up cancelling the order and buying a better product.
Don't waste your time or money on this company, they SUCK! They should be embarrassed!
I bought a refrigerator 5 years ago which at first impression is u. Beautiful appliances, the headache is that during this time I had to change 3 compressors since they are of very poor quality, the refrigerator alone cost me almost 3500 and changing the compressors cost me another 3000, so if you think When buying one of these appliances, think carefully since they are beautiful on the outside but really bad.
Never call these 2 numbers *******000 or *******934 both the number can lead you to never ending routing to different "agents" who have no idea why they got this job or how they got. They keep on transferring to different department and to different agent who also then keep transferring to different places. THis is never ending process. Cant believe what LG have done to themselves. This is the company I was rooting for. Talking to what they call themselves "agents", I felt like I am being scammed (in fact, I think I am scammed because still no resolution to my concern). They will transfer you without even telling you that they are transferring. My order is stuck somewhere with no update where it is and on the site it says "return window closed" like what? I haven't even seen the appliance. This will not stop me though. I will keep on calling and I think everyone in their department likes to know people better so I guess they will get to know me. Anyways, I only recommend them if you like to talk to 100s of people otherwise save your PRESIOUS TIME.

They are pathetic guys never purchase a product of LG and their services are pathetic and products are poor in every single minute you just make a complaint of them...m running I am running a campaign against them SAY NO TO LG please support me because only the single thing which can help us just boycott them they are cheaters infact they saling a fraud AMC which they didn't work on them seriously...kindly support SAY NO TO LG
I am extremely disappointed with the performance of my LG LED TV and their poor service history. I purchased a 65" LG LED TV in Trivandrum just over 2 years ago, and now I have encountered a serious issue - there is no display. When I contacted LG customer service, they informed me that the LED panel needs to be replaced, and the cost of this replacement is nearly Rs. 55,000.
I originally spent close to 1.45 lakh on this TV, and now, after only 2 years, I'm being asked to pay an additional 55,000 rupees for repairs. To add to my frustration, I've noticed that new 65" TVs with a 2-year warranty are available for just 65,000 rupees now.
I have come across similar complaints from other users, which makes me believe that this could be a manufacturing defect. Despite numerous promises to resolve the issue over the past 2 months, I have not received any satisfactory resolution from LG.
Based on my bitter experience and the experiences of others, I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing an LG TV to think twice, as I have lost faith in their product quality and customer service.
I had purchased two air conditioners one of LG and another of carrier on 5 June 2023. However, the cooling of AC of LG was not upto the mark from time of installation. I first complaint at customer care on 07 June 2023. Their service engineer came, checked, refilled gas. However, cooling was still inadequate. Since then I have been repeatedly complaining. There service engineer comes every time, takes some data and sends it to company. However, cooling of AC remains unsatisfactory. Unofficially, service engineers claims that cooling is inadequate but they can't say anything but their job is limited to take data. Data is also taken at maximum cooling mode and settings where as govt is insisting on running AC at 24 degrees Celsius. In comparison to this Carrier company AC is excellent. It is recommended that one should never buy LG products as their quality and after sale service is pathetic. Regards... Brigadier V K Baranwal
Do not buy LG products. They do not support customers after the sale. I'll never buy again! Shame. I purchased the product, it failed, I lost everything in the fridge raider and freezer. I had to find my own service person that person was luckily a LG repair service person LG then took credit for finding them for me which they did not and then to reimburse me for my food loss they gave me $150 there's nothing that $150 can do to help reimburse you for all that food loss. They promised to call me back three separate times to discuss with no follow up calls all they did was tell customers what they want to hear to get them off the phone. I will never buy another LG products again which is sad because I've always been a huge supporter. I have thousands of dollars of LG electronics, and they show no loyalty to customers that were loyal to them.
The worst service I have ever received. The previously spoken to reps refuse to take repeat calls and it's impossible to leave any feedback as it never connects following a call.
Repair technicians inputs (TTC) are misinterpreted in the favor of LG rather than the customer.
I have a small leveling issue with a $6000 range top. The repair tech agrees that it's a manufacturers problem but the report released by the TTC department is incorrectly stating that its an install issue.
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
Answer: THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEND OUR REFUND AFTER PROMISING WE HAD SENT THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
