I decided to get rid of some new, never used items on Letgo after seeing ads on tv and online. I thought it would be better than using craigslist, but boy was I wrong. The people on there are so cheap, even when you have great deals on NEW items you are selling, they still constantly try to get you to sell cheaper. When you won't, they resort to telling you that they can find it cheaper elsewhere and trying to insult you. Good, go buy at that magical place then. If I was willing to sell you something for $5, I would have posted it for $5. You spend so much time messaging back and forth, and then it falls through. My advise is to just post an ad on Craigslist or sell on Ebay and don't deal with the back and forth nonsense on letgo.

Bad
March 18, 2017

They all want your items for nothing!
Say you just listed something for $5 which is dirt cheap. Someone will try to haggle with you to get it for $1.50, $1.00 or even free. It's ridiculous.
No thanks! I don't need the headache! I'll sell stuff on eBay.
And another thing, you have to sell it in person. I don't think I trust this! I don't want to meet some creepy stranger who will fight you tooth and nail to get something for free.

USELESS
March 18, 2017

Not a bad IDEA but the reality is this is a waste of time. When CLEARLY stated in your ad that PRICE IS FIRM, thats ignored and idiots waste your time trying to bargain you down. The worse and stupidest thing about the site is the ratings by people... i dont care if im rated or not but omg WHY in hell do i have to get alerts about them and NOT be able to delete them ever? Who CARES what others think of your post... this obviously is a site for this weird generation that thinks THEIR opinions on anything MUST BE VOICED and every moment of life HAS TO BE OUT THERE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AND HEAR. Again... WHO CARES? If you want to buy an item, its easy enough to contact the seller; if you are selling one though the hassles aren't worth the effort. A real YARD SALE would be faster and easier in big cities. I can see the need for this site however IF you are in a small town and yard sales aren't possible year round. Oh well, not every cuppa tea is liked by everyone.

They really need to get their act together. Site freezes in mid sentence when trying to communicate. After almost an hour it came back for under 2 mins. Then froze. They are second rate to offer up and 5 miles. This company seems to be laden with issues

Scammers
March 16, 2017

A lot of people who sell their stuff they don't follow through. They don't respond at all. Then they say that it's sold. And then if you decide not to buy it they get mad and they give you 1 star. The transaction doesn't happen and then they get mad and they will try to bring you down and block you this site is just a new site so a people are getting mad at each other. I believe that all the scam artists who are selling their items will advertise with no phone number because they have something to hide.

Waste of time. Don't bother. I have been patient with people who say they are interested, but never follow through.
Most people don't even know what they are looking at.
Total morons.
Not even worth one star.
What is wrong with people these days?

SCAMMMMMM
March 14, 2017

Total scammers on this site! They say they are sending you a check and that it will be delivered, as well deducting some amount from something or other. Bottom line this is just another avenue for scammers!

Works great
March 14, 2017

I live in vancouver canada. I buy and sell for a living, 20% on facebook and the other 80% is on craigslist. To give an idea where i'm at, i currently have 312 listing on craigslist. There are scammers everywhere, if you can't sniff them out then you should educate yourself before opening doors to them! Anyway i posted 5 items on letgo yesterday morning, got interest on 4 of them and sold 2 by 5pm. I think letgo is the next big thing. I sell on average 2-10 listings a day on craigslist. Those 2-10 sales includes roughly 100 emails (scammers, no shows, asking and never responding again, etc). If i was only trying to sell one thing i'd be pulling my hair out by the time it sold. I look at it like a numbers game. Based on what happened with letgo yesterday, it currently has the majority of my attention. These selling sites are only as good as the people that use them

HUGE Scammer issues!
March 14, 2017

There is no way to protect yourself against people screwing you. I wouldn't give an item away for free and the person didn't like it and has bombarded me with phish accounts so they can leave me negative feedback. They are all unverified accounts and once they leave the review they block me so I can't even defend myself or follow up their review warning people of what they are doing. AND to top it off there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIX THIS!

I live in a remote area of my state and wanted something that would allow me to connect to other people in my city/town. A lot of the facebook pages I find are for the general area (which includes about 100 miles of driving) and I was looking for something to center my products.

This site is a joke. Yes, it is easy to post items to sell them, but there is no way to verify the people you will be posting to. Being very familiar with social networking, it is not uncommon to see fake profiles. That was all I found. People would message me about an item when their location read a place more than 500 miles from me. I also received a message from someone who was telling me their item was still for sale... I never looked at their item on the app, no one else uses my phone and I definitely did not message that seller to ask questions about his item.

It all seems a little suspicious to me. And no thank you. I guess I will have to stick with the Facebook way. There may still be fake people on FB... but at least it is easier to tell and report. Reading the other reviews on here, I'm sorry I didn't do my due diligence and just save my time for something more useful.

Waste of time
March 13, 2017

I spent some time listing/posting my items. People favorited them or made inquiries as to whether or not it was still available. After that, nothing! EBay or Kijiji are a more guarantees way to sell items. Letgo is a waste of time!

I downloaded this app after seeing commercials for it on TV, however I wish I never did. I was attempting to buy something from a seller. The seller agreed to meet up, but decided to sell the item to another person. Then when I left a bad review, the user decided to go off on a rampage of profanity. I reported the user, but LetGo did nothing.

I wish I didn't have to put the one star. I actually purchased an iphone 6s from a reputable seller (so I thought). I met the seller who went by the name Joel O from Kenner or Metairie Louisiana, paid him$275 for the phone after I inserted my sim card and was able to dial. By the time I returned to my house my service provider blocked service due to the phone being reported stolen. I contacted the seller who then blocked me changed his name to Jo and is no longer selling any items. I also reported the user to letgo. I have not even received as much as an apology email from letgo. I will NEVER use this site again.

If you get an email from a seller saying "my son of 26 years died, so there are bad memories and that's the reason I am selling so cheap" BEWARE! The seller emma summer has been blocked but I see in other reviews they are still selling other cars under other names. PLEASE take the time to report these users and do your homework! I know she will keep changing her name, and probably her story too, but maybe I can stop this from happening to one other person!

Dear Owner of Letgo!
You are advertising heavily your site, but you should spend your money on professional website builder instead.
This is a serious joke! Your website isn't worth 5 cents. Nothing's working properly and whoever created website details has and never will have any knowledge about online sale. Please, save your money, before it's too late and do something else!
