How are you stupid enough to get scammed, of course only except cash, nowhere anymore yakes checks, lol. Use your brain. Dint trust anybody $#*!s. And you have to expect people to bother you if you want to sell something.if you arent willi g to deliver at a decent distance then you realy dont want to sell or you need to tell them right away in your add that it has to be picked up. Safer to meet somewhere anyway. Problem im having with sight is it likes to load my cover pic wrong and not update with whatever im updating add with and it likes to double listings, and you have to click, list, becore you get to put description which is stupid. You have to understand, at least around bama, intelligence is scarce... So people dont know how to read the info or look at all the pics correctly so im always answering questions that are already answered by the add or picture. Also everybody wants stuff for cheap, i have almost brand new stuff listed for half the price, quality stuff too, and they want it for nothing. Know how to deal and haggle before you expect the app to do all the work for you. It works, just maybe not the way you dreamed it would.

I had no problem with the functionality of the app itself. My problem was with the USERS of Letgo. For whatever reason, the so-called potential buyers of my items were SO non-commital, so lazy, and so broke. They might even have been lonely, as they used the chat function for useless, excessive interaction. No one wanted or even had the ability to come pick up the sale items - people, watch the commercials! The buyers have to actually show up to buy the items. It turned out to be a complete waste of time. I loaded up my stuff and took it to Goodwil, and then promptly deleted the app.

I had a tanning bed up for sale on letgo.com. A woman said she wants it, said she would send me a check by fed ex. I received 3,000 and the tanning bed was only 1500. She told me to let her know when the check got cashed then go to a money gram and send 1500 to a delivery service so they can pick up the tanning bed and ship it to her. Honestly, I was so stupid not to see what was going on here.The following day my bank account was cleaned out complety.It was all a scam.DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS, DO NOT CASH CHECKS FOR OVER THE AMOUNT AND DO NOT TAKE THE CHECK CASH IT AND SEND MONEY TO A FURTHER PERSON.IM COMPLETELY BROKE NOW!

I sell glass through a legitimate LLC. And out of the 100-plus people who have inquired on something, I have only sold 5 pieces total. I have been solicited by minors, and everybody wants a better deal then can be done in the real world. At least 30 of these people want to trade they're dirty glass for something new, 40 of them or more have tried to barter the price down to far below fair market value. There has also been at least 30 or 40 people who have asked about something, and never gotten back after I spend time and effort responding. Overall, I am relatively disappointed in the flake aspect of this app.

This was a case turned backwards on me! I worked as an RN for 32+ yrs as a RN practicing compassion and love; I worked with this ladies schedule and even arranged to meet her diwntiwn as I had a drs appointment around the same time as she got off work. You don't know a drs schedule and I told her that. I explained I MIGHT get off at 10:39-11am but wasn't sure but would call her as soon as I finished -she called me at 11am saying she was ready to go. I sent just my /2 year old down with the trade of item for cash as I am in a motorized chair. I apologized it was taking so long and she said no worries we could hook up at the Pharmacy or elsewhere. I always respond withinin an hour of my calls or texts. This review was unfair. I have screenshots from our conversations. Thanks, Patti

Mostly lowballers wanting something for free or almost free and scammers. Most scammers are gone within a day or 2 but some like Kathleen Davis of Newark, DE are persistent. She tries the typical scam of asking to send a check& have item shipped when she is only 15 minutes away (fake location?). Anytime someone gives an honest review, she has the nerve to review back saying the sellers location was sooo far away and they refused to ship when she has cancer (never once mentioned). This person is the worst kind of scammer, absolutely despicable. Then she sends the same canned responses for the same items 3 and 4 times over as if you had never spoken before. All reviews are the same and she has never purchased a single item.

Almost all the buyers haggle or what they call negotiate. I have sold six items on LetGo in 3 months so far all for bottom dollar or below market. There is to many junk seller that give away for free which creates a harmful culture of free or dirt cheap on LetGo. Selling is difficult as buyers have their attention taken away and buying is difficult because a lot of junk is posted quickly because of how LetGo is structured.

This app sucks the way it is designed motivates negative experiences. Buyers haggle price and never show up. Retaliatory negative reviews are very common.

Need trading acumen to consult on how to redesign this app.
