Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Everything was so easy and my glasses are fantastic!
I ordered and paid for transitions lenses. They sent me permanently dark sunglasses. They were dark when I opened the box. They stayed dark. They don't lighten even inside with the lights off. They are useless to me now. I needed to be able to wear them indoors.
We placed an order with Lensabl for new lenses for my husband using frames that we had purchased elsewhere online. The order was for lined bifocal lenses. Followed all procedures including multiple photos to determine PD. The frames we had sent in arrived with the new lenses about a month after the initial order was placed. When my husband put them on, he discovered that when he looked straight ahead he was looking through the reading portion. A local optical business told us that the lenses must have been produced in lined bifocal lenses in the process or configuration for progressive bifocal lenses. We had not intentionally or inadvertently ordered progressive bifocal lenses. I immediately contacted the company rep Mark in several emails thinking that a speedy resolution was possible but requested a refund when I realized the unacceptable timeliness. But Mark insisted that new lenses be produced. When I explained that we did not have another month, needed to have lenses made locally, and would not send frames back, he ignored me. We went to Sam's Club in Longview, TX 2 days later as they were closed on Monday. Submitted the prescription and frame. Order was placed and the frames came back with new lenses in less than a week. My husband is thrilled. As we had no other option regarding Lensable, we took the lenses they had produced, and sent them back in the box they had sent. I just received an email that the new lenses were delivered to our house in TX more than 2 months after the original order placed and while we are in Colorado preparing to return to Texas after my husband's appointment with his retina specialist! ZERO stars to Lensabl for the lenses produced, the length of time required for the entire process, and for being unwilling to refund the cost to retired people on a limited income with significant need for good service!
My lenses-glasses took 2x as long to receive. What was incredibly frustrating was that their order tracking system never updated my order so I was blind to when I would finally receive my glasses. Once I received my glasses, they had replaced my Dior case with their cheap branded case which didn't even fit my glasses. They told me they could not find my case. Yes, they Are cheaper but you do pay a price!
The quality of the end product is very good, however there were two issues I encountered during this purchase: 1.) What was advertised as a 6 day process on line ended up being 30 days with no proactive communication on the challenges or revised timing 2.) the lenses are good, but they do not include my progressive lens prescription - which was both sent and requested. No one told me this was not going to be executed or advised it was not possible. The frames work and look great, but it is not my full prescription.
Lensabl did a fine job replacing my old lenses with new progressive lenses in my 100 year old frames. I am very happy with the work and will certainly be back.
Thank you!
I bought prescription sunglasses (sent in my own frames), and the process was easy. Just like any new glasses, it will probably take me a week to get used to them. But they look great, and you can't beat the quality at this price. Highly suggest!
Received my glasses earlier today, they came out and look great, plus the customer service was top notch. Thanks!
Prescription was right on and the tint on the sunglasses was great also. I'm very happy with the job done.
I love the look. And I can see really well. There is great coverage for my eyes. The glasses just don't fit my head. So sad because I really like them.
The glasses took a little long to arrive
But we're perfect when they did
First bad point: my frames were lost in transit to the lab but the website recorded that they had received them so I didn't know my frames were lost for an entire month. Second bad point: the company could do nothing to help me retrieve my lost frames. Their solution was to offer me a free set of frames which they would've thrown in free with the lenses I was already buying and treating it as if they were doing me a favor. Third bad point the glasses they were going to make me to replace the frames I had lost failed quality control inspection and had to go back to the lab for another week. All in all three months. Lost frames. No real compensation since the frames they gave me were "free with the purchase of lenses". One upside the person answering my customer service emails was prompt and did their best. So customer service person good rest of the experience absolutely lousy
My glasses arrived last night and the vision is off. How do we proceed?
No problems at all. Everything was done online, instructions were clear and new glasses arrived with no issues.
Waited 2 months for my glasses. Now that I have them the right lens keeps popping out of the frame. Also looks like they used glue to make it stick. I am still waiting for them to reply.
Glasses (lens) seem to be fine. Shipping with the blundering USPS not so much.
Decided to give lensabl a try, since I needed a new Rx for my glasses. Not sure what happened with the 1st pair they sent, but they were unbelievably helpful and readily accepted the frames to give it another shot. Just got them today and they're perfect!
After a long wait and a "hiccup" with pupillary distance, which meant I had to send my glasses back (thank you to Lensabl for fixing this, free of charge!), my new sunglasses are perfect! Can't wait for the sun to come out!
The frames you sent me are too big, they are not my originals, the lenses you sent were not what I ordered, I want my original Christian Dior frames returned with my original lenses and a full refund.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
