Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

I can't believe how great my prescription worked out with these lenses! I ordered these for the Bose feature and they are perfect!
From the start, I was curious about the whole process, How long it takes, how will they look and feel, how good the result. Everything was exactly as I was hoping. I would be happy to do it all over again.
I was initially reluctant at first getting lens for my glasses on-line. However I am very pleased with the work done by Lensabl. I will definitely send another pair of glasses to have lens replaced by your company.
Optics were made perfectly - thank you so much!
I submitted the wrong prescription before - my mistake.
This is the second time I've used Lansabl and, both times, the glasses were useless and unwearable. The first time the progressive prescription started far too low on the lens. I foolishly decided to try them again and ordered additional lenses for the same frames. This time, the right lens was completely wrong and the tint was botched (ordered at 50% but delivered at 100%). I'm done trying to get a satisfactory product from Lensabl.
I've had good experiences with Lensabl previously, but this time around the production process was delayed and the final product was not as precise a fit as it was previously (same exact frame type, same exact prescription, so I was able to compare one to one). Just okay overall.
I was hesitant to order the new lenses on line so only sent in one pair. Very quick service, like the online instructions and ease of how it all works. Got my glasses in less than 2 weeks. Now I am sending in two more pairs to have done. Much better than having to buy all new glasses every year when I still love the ones I have.
Was delivered to every standard I had hoped to receive! Excellent service even when behind schedule I was given notification on every process being done.
Process was flawless until I received finished product… my Slyk abalone gun glasses were returned broken! Part of the abalone shell around the lens is missing…
So what's next? Do I send to you or Slyk for repairs?
I ordered on 8/12, and it took them a week just to ship me a box to send in my frames. Nearly a week each way in the mail, since they use USPS.
And if that wasn't enough lead time to get me serviced quickly once they arrive there, it was 2 weeks (1 in shipping and 1 to make the lenses?) before they were sending them back again. So, total servicing time was around 5 WEEKS!
They sent them in nice packaging with a case and a complimentary cleaning solution + cloth. The lenses seem to be the right prescription and have the Transitions coating. I got the Active Transitions, but they do NOT darken much in the driver's seat. I would NOT recommend them for driving for that reason. Most likely cheaper to go with a 2nd pair as dedicated prescription sunglasses.
However, their Anti-reflective (AR), which they claim is applied to all lenses, is either garbage or was never applied to my lenses. I have horrible reflections on the inside of my lenses (see photo) that is distracting during work and potentially dangerous in the car. And they clearly didn't apply it to the outside (as attested by my colleagues on video calls). So, I reached out to their customer service...
Customer service is ONLY via email, and they send 1 message per day. After about a week of back-and-forth, they offered to ship my glasses back and (re)apply the coating. But I asked about faster shipping, and they just ghosted me. I waited several business days (because they tell you that each time you email, you go to the back of the line), then sent in a message asking what was going on. That was Wednesday 9/29. It's now been nearly 2 months with slow service and support, followed by radio silence.
If there was a 0 stars option, I would give them that. The product if OK, but the service surrounding it is SLOW and their support is both SLOW and UNFULFILLING.
Lensabl was great to work with; super easy and my glasses arrived fairly quick. Love them!
The processing time was speedy and the process for sending in your frames was pretty easy. It's awesome that they send you a prepaid box. My only complaint is that there is no in depth info regarding the color/polarization of replacement lenses. If I had had more info, I would have ordered a different lens color as I'm not happy with the brown. It is very brown, almost amber. When you click "shop lenses" you'd expect there would be a description with maybe images of the different lens types, colors, coatings, and polarizations before beginning the order process. But instead you have to make the decision during ordering with little to no information. So I chose brown because my previous lenses were brown. But when I received them the new lenses are way more brown than my original lenses. It would have been nice to have a "match color to current lense" option or something like that. However, I understand that I chose the color and that's not Lensabl's fault so aside from that I would definitely recommend them!
As a result of deficiencies - or inaccurate calculation? - from online fitment steps, the bifocal portion of my lenses ended up being positioned too far to the bottom of the lens to be useful. I don't know what I could have done differently to ensure the lens' bifocal portion was placed for better function. The distance correction part of the lens seems to be accurate.
The provided picture of the Lensabl lens (on the right) compares that lens with another pair of prescription sunglasses I have. There is an approximate 0.4mm difference in the position of the top portion of the bifocal lens.
Otherwise, problems identified by production quality controls delayed the fulfillment timeline of my order.
I will contact Lensabl customer service to determine what options there might be to remedy my disappointment.
I was a bit nervous at first. The idea of sending my new (not cheap) glasses away kind of freaked me out. I'm SO GLAD that I swallowed my fear and shipped them to Lensabl. The process was so easy. My frames came back to me in a cute white case in perfect condition and my prescription was spot on. I'm sending another pair in right now. I highly recommend lensabl!
I bought a set of clear reading lenses for my Bose Tenor stereo glasses. The lenes are amazing, the quality is superb, the prescription right on, and I love the screen friendly anti-blue light coating. It really helps me to read my iPad and Kindle without the adverse affects on my sleeping. As I was going to be leaving the area for several months, I had a delivery deadline which they also met and throughout the process my customer service rep, Jove, kept me in the loop and responded quickly and knowledgeably to my emails. Overall a fantastic experience and wonderful set of lenses.
I shipped my glasses out to you and waited months to receive the wrong prescription. I ordered bifocal lenses and received full len prescription. I am unable to wear them at work because it's looks like I'm looking through the bottom of a glass bottle. I really am so disappointed in my whole experience. I so want you to know that the quality of the lens and construction is awesome but this is not the prescription I paid for. Thanks for all the hard work though. Truly, Tina Smith
I ordered lenses only (not the first time with this service) for Razer Anzu S/M and the lenses are too wide for the frame. Contacted customer support and followed instructions with customer support via sending pictures of the lenses. Have not heard from customer support since then.
My third time dealing with Lensabl and it couldn't be any easier. The website was extremely user friendly, intuitive and accurate. I used my stored prescription to save even more time. Glasses arrived in timely fashion. They're exactly how I wanted. See you next time!
Amazing job on the glasses and easy to navigate the system when purchasing my glasses.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
