Got too expensive and could not afford it. 1st 10 was affordable but 2nd 10 was too high and didn't receive all my tapes or a lot was left off.

My brother held onto 40 film reels for years. Before throwing them away he sent them to me. I found legacy box online and with their reasonable rates, I was able to rescue and see our history restored. They did a great job! No fluff, no special effects needed and I was able to share this with my own son and I sent my brother his own copy on a dvd and on a flash drive! Legacy box did an excellent job.

I recently moved and while I was packing, I stumbled upon on old Betamax tapes. Without a player, there was no way for me to view these keepsakes. Legacybox was so easy to order. Once my box arrived, it came with a personalized direction booklet with the stickers to tag my tapes. I mailed the box out and once I received the notification of the digital files, I saved them and shared with my family for all of us to enjoy. I truly appreciate this service and I'm so very thankful for the memories you have given back to myself and my family.
2 vhs tapes turned into dvds. Both DVDs did not have full content of what I sent. My original vhs tapes were better than what they converted into dvds. Total waste of money, will NEVER recommend this company!
2 of 3 8MM films were successfully transferred to DVD; I knew one would be a problem as it has become nearly impossible to play in a projector. My one beef is for how the DVD is created. I wanted to rip the DVD to pull out the two films into separate MP4's. But the way the DVD is created, it appeared to my ripping software to be one long file (and then a short file which was a portion of one film. Not sure what went on there, but I was able to manipulate the DVD files directly and recover the content and create the two MP4's via VLC. I believe I had a similar issue on a previous transaction. I will say that I do have confidence that the material makes it form end to end (though there is always a dependency on the shipper and I've recently have packages lost by both UPS and Fedex).
The tapes were from the early 2020's and I feel they did their best. I am looking at doing a few more, just have to figure out what and get them together. And, I will honestly probably wait for a special as this is expensive venture. Thank You.
They send you a box and stickers, you put the slides into little baggies and put a sticker on each bag. About 3 weeks later got CD with digital images. Very easy process and good quality images
It took 10 weeks to get my files after they received them which is way to long. My biggest disappointment was when I viewed the files, the quality was awful. I complained and was told I could pay to send them back and they would look at it, instead of anymore hassle I purchased a cable for $10 and did the conversions myself.
Very fast service. Came well packed with easy instructions. Had our DVD's back in less than 2 weeks. Again, well packed. Very pleased.

They talk a good game, but the results at this point, are less than satisfactory.
It is extremely disappointing that you cannot get to speak to anyone in a management position.
I would check out other services that perform this service.

You received your digital files via email, your order had already been "packed for shipping" This means that your order, among hundreds of others had already been packed onto the shipping truck and at that point it is not possible or feasible to locate the order. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Once you receive your order back, you are all set to send it back to use for reprocessing to try to get a better capture for you. While we do perform a 1:1 transfer and do not offer editing or enhancements, if your original film is in better condition than the digital files you received back we would be more than happy to get this corrected for you. Again, I apologize for any misconception regarding speaking to a manager, the customer service agent you were speaking with sought supervisor approval to set up the return for you.

Have used Legacy box a few times with some OK results on older VHS and Beta tapes. Recently had some old 8mm tapes to submit - had 4 tapes so entered the order for a 2 item package returned on a disc, then changed the quantity box to 2. The order looked like it was for two 2 item packages onto disc. When the box to ship arrived it only had stickers for 2 items - when I contact LB they said the order was for one 2 item package with 2 discs to be sent. Very deceiving order window and confirmation.

I apologize for any confusion regarding your order. If you had wanted 2 boxes, you would have to place two boxes into your cart. It looks like from the cart page, you added an extra copy of discs, which is why you received one box with two sets of discs ordered. You actually ordered the most cost efficient way possible. If you take a look on our website, if you are between order sizes, instead of ordering multiple boxes, paying for multiple disc sets and paying shipping for two boxes, you can order down a size (which you did!) If you take a look through your welcome guide, we provide extra barcode stickers in case. You have more items than your order size. Extra items are a flat $15. There is no extra charge for shipping, discs or anything else. You simply include all 4 items in your box and when it is received by our team, we will send you an invoice via email for the extra items at $15 each. Again I apologize for any confusion, you did order the most cost efficient way possible and if you reach back out to the team, we would be happy to remove and refund you for the extra disc set that was added on in the cart!
With the first 2 CD's we were ecstatic (we sent in 20 DVD's from when our kids were growing up) but after that, it was downhill. One CD had Howard Stern, showing butt and boobs, we never had that on any of our DVD's, another had a TV show we couldn't recognize, another had no sound, and 2 were all fuzzy. We have watched all our DVD's, many times, and we were looking so forward to having them again on CD's, especially the one where our daughter went down a slide and fumbled at the end... too funny... never got it. Thank goodness they return the DVD's, I will do it myself... somehow... or try our local photography shop... there goes another $200!
So excited to be able to pass along DVDs to my boys of their childhood. So fun to watch! It was a very easy, straightforward process. Adding more copies to the order was simple when I thought I was going to have to resend everything and do it again for another set! No way! The whole process was great. Can't wait to do my photographs.

Answer: All Video and Film Transfers are done so at 480P. Additionally, we convert almost all consumer formats of videotapes, photos, film reels, and audio. Here's a full list of formats we can digitize: *Videotapes: VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, S-VHS-C, Betamax, Hi8, Digital8, Video8, MiniDV, HD MiniDV, and MicroMV A note on foreign tapes: We can convert most PAL and SECAM consumer format tapes. The only foreign format we cannot currently convert are PAL and SECAM Betamax tapes. Answer: Nope. They took 3 months to tell me an item was "damaged" and then told me their refund policy was 20% or more of the media damaged to give any refund.
Answer: Hi Judy, Great question! We ask that slides be grouped into sets of 25 (one item) either in an envelope or ziplock bag. We will provide small barcode stickers to apply to each bag of 25. Slides will be processed in numerical order, according to those barcodes. The order within each set of 25 is not guaranteed as there are alternate factors such as shipping where they could move around. The digital files are free from any copyrights so you can very easily re-order them however you'd like once you receive them back!
