Had a terrible experience with this horrible service.
Paid an additional £80 for a flexible ticket option, and when I tried to change my departure date because of a family emergency, I was quoted £532 for a date change. I was then told the flexible policy only applies to date changes prior to the date of departure.
I contacted the airline directly and got them to change the date for only £178 the very same day.
Lastminute.com had promised me they weren't charging any extra fees and that the price was quoted by the airline. Instead I was able to change my flight myself for £350 less than the quoted amendment price.
They are clearly a terrible company with dishonest business practice.
Stay well clear and save your time and your money.
Horrible company. After making a mistake with the booking I was told I would be charged more than double the price for the ticket in order to change it (literally minutes after booking it). Will boycott this company for life.
Extremely unsatisfactory level of customer service. Very difficult to contact support team. They totally messed up my booking before I left. Sent numerous emails and phoned to confirm my bookings. Unsatisfactory responses in very untimely manner. Even when hotel told me my room was cancelled was still getting emails from Lastminute.com saying my booking was fine! Will never use this company again. Absolutely ruined my holiday with cancelled hotel booking, not getting seats on flights I had booked. Had to rebook the hotel at my own expense and rebook seats and pay again for airline seats. Should be offering compensation for this unbelievably shockingly bad service. Caused so much stress and I lost 24 hours of my 5 day holiday trying to sort out their mess. When I succeeded in getting through to customer service unable to help or resolve my issues. Avoid at all costs.
I chose a flight ticket from their website, offered at GBP205.99, went through the entire purchase process, made sure to reject all additional services and offers and paid with my credit card. When I went see the card statement they had charged my GBP320.99, without any explanation.
I wrote to their customer service attaching a screenshot of the original offer and the final charge, but they just said they were doing no refund because the price match policy didn't apply to flight tickets alone. They didn't even tried to understand the problem and then simply stopped answering my emails.
Terrible service. Save yourselves trouble and go directly to the airline or a trusted booking agent.
Under no circumstances deal with this company. They took our money and when we needed to make a cancellation five months in advance of the holiday, they said the flights were not refundable not even for the baggage to be stored in the hold of the aircraft! We were not told this at the time of booking. A letter of complaint to their office in Richmond, Surrey (as shown on line) was returned GONE AWAY. Says it all.
I had booked flight tickets from Bengaluru (India) to Edinburgh (UK) and return through lastminute.com and the airline was Indian Airlines. I travelled from Bengaluru to Edinburgh on 8th of November 2019 & my return ticket was booked for departure on 25 March 2020. Due to pandemic the airlines cancelled the flight of 25 March 2020. Then I had to book my own ticket to return to India. All along the lastminute.com said they will refund the unused ticket price. It's been more than 2 years now I did not get any refund. I called lastminute.com many times during this time and every time they promised they will refund it. But now when I checked my online account on lastminute.com they have changed the status to 'non-refundable'. Definitely I don't recommend them, unprofessional & most of the customer service agents had no clue what they are doing, just copy paste same text again & again.
Nightmare upon checking out. Lastminute has taken the money from us and not paid the hotel. Response from customer service is that they can't help but a manager will call me. No call. We were just left in the hotel reception having to pay for the room twice. DO NOT USE LASTMINUTE - you will regret it.
Return flight not booked, left stranded. Trying to get hold of anyone is impossible. Avoid at all costs
Paid nearly £1000 for a week away to Portugal. Only to come down with covid two days before my flight. Told last minute.com straight away I couldn't make the flight and holiday and they refuse to give me any sort of refund. Avoid at all costs!
The worst experience I have ever had with booking a flight! The communication and customer service is abysmal. Trying to modify anything via the online portal is a smoke screen, you attempt to make changes and from there it is left with 'update request & an agent will be in touch'... this can leave you in stand still for days. I made several phone calls, they sent a change flight request that would cut my trip shorter by half (4 days, would turn into 2, this is with hotels booked), when I had only asked for an earlier flight. It was excuses and explanations that the flight would be amended, the following morning I call, and they offer me the same flight that I rejected the day before, which they had said they would rectify. It has reached the day before leaving for my holidays and because they have wasted my time, they explained there is now nothing they can do and I need to get in touch with airline directly if I want to do anything. By far the worst experience with communication.
AVOID! Flights cancelled, still waiting refund, airline has already given, can't talk to anyway, avoid
Our flights got cancelled via email on the 1st of March, we asked for an alternative flight because all of the prices had gone up since our original booking. We're now 10 days from our original date for flying and still no flight. We call every day and we get, we'll send you an email today. And nothing. They're a third part seller so there isn't much they can do but still, maybe call if a flight gets cancelled. Don't just send an email.
On social media we are seeing daily reports of how this company is robbing and cheating people. They change bookings at will blaming the airline companies for changes and never refund any money
Absolutely terrible customer service! If you have the slightest inkling that you may have to change your flights in anyway do not book with last minute.com! They kept sending us to the airline, when the airline clearly stated that all changes are controlled by the third party booker. This went back and forth for a week, until lastminute.com finally said that they couldn't do anything for us…. The morning of the flight! So new tickets had to be purchased for £240. I advise you just spend the extra few £/$ you save by going third party on actual airline tickets. As when the 1 in 10 time that you need to make a change comes round, the airline will be happy to oblige. Unlike useless lastminute.com employs, out sourced from a call centre in Timbuktu reading of a sheet!
I purchased a ticket with them and on the way back, A COUPLE OF HOURS before the flight, they changed the flight date/time. I had to get on another flight with another airline, and lastminute was supposed to refund partial part of the ticket, but they refuse to do so.
Atrocious customer service. Its very obvious that nobody cares in the business, which is a shame and they only care about money, which is typical of corporates nowadays. They have lied to me blatantly on the phone regarding a booking as i confirmed something else with the actual hotel. I decided to record calls which has now caught them out. I have vowed never to use this company every again and i'll be very surprised this company lasts another few years as their reviews speak for itself as they only get 1 star, which is obviously disgraceful and the managers and owners and clearly not bothered
We cancelled one of the flight tickets book last minute.com made a mistake and cancelled the whole holiday when we told them they promised over and over that it was all sorted but i wasn't now they are saying they are to busy to answer calls. So basically the sales staff will say anything to get you off the phone they will never give a name so no accountability. They made the mistake but im now stuck with no holiday and no flights to rebook them now is going to be £1000 more which i dont have. Thanks very much lastminute.com who now dont even answer the phone.
Helped a friend book tickets on lastminute.com through Momondo. Once the email was entered it showed it would send a receipt and order confirmation. It also gave me an option to create an account.
After several hours I was never received any kind of confirmation and never received any link to create an account to track the booking.
I found email contacts and emailed them, they don't have one on their site. The email contacts were all rejected.
This site appears to be a fraud and scam. I've contacted momondo to see if they can help. I also advised the friend I helped to cancel the charge on Natalia's card.
Don't trust these people, and after reading other reviews, I see I was probably right.
Answer: I want an email address for LastMinute.com through which to log my complaint and ask for an explanation and partial refund.
