I wrote to Kroger customer service about a very rude pharmacist at the Peachtree Hill (Duluth, GA) Kroger. The auto reply said someone would reach out in 48 hours. They didn't, so I wrote to them a 2nd time. Same thing-auto reply that someone would reach out in 48 hours. No again. Today I wrote a 3rd time and just said they had permanently lost a customer. Go to Publix people! They really show they care about their customers, not like Kroger who clearly doesn't care.
Been going at Krogers for years and always out of almost everything on sales and are never fully stocked but this time it was exceptionally horrible. Service was extremely slow, staff was impolite and manager full o excuses. Seriously waited in line for 20 minutes at the service desk. I will never ever shop here again
My wife taught me to review all grocery slips from Kroger. Almost invariably, they over charge on something or another. My nemesis is with the soda pop area. You absolutely have to, have to, have to read every word on the shelf tag. I usually get it right, but today, I was wrong again for the umpteenth time.
Their trick is to change the number of bottles you have to buy to get the marked price. They change the typeface each time, so sometimes it is small, sometimes it is large and should not be easy to miss, but is anyway, because you didn't expect it to be so large.
In any case, the generic brand is the trickiest. One week it is 69 cents if you buy 3. Next week it is 79 cents if you buy 5, next week (this week) the name brand is 88 cents if you buy 4. Some weeks, you can buy just one for 79 cents, other weeks you have to buy 5 to get the 79 cent price. I got caught today and didn't read the tag quite right. I bought three name brand sodas that I thought would be 88 cents each--that's the biggest type face. Well, when I went to check out, it was $1.67. I went to "customer service" Ha Ha Ha. The lady there pointed out that it was 88 cents for four not three. She was absolutely right. I muttered a few polite criticisms and told her to take them all back. I didn't buy any. The store brand was 79 cents if you buy? (I forgot to look).
Always tricking the customer. Of course if you buy $100+ worth of groceries, you won't see that you got gypped--who takes the time to look at 40 or 50 items anyway? Kroger wins.
I took my seven year old child into Kroger to cash in his coins at CoinStar tonight, only to have a large amount stolen! We counted out almost $73 dollars in change before going, only to be given a voucher for $37.93! I went and spoke to the manager "Lee Ann" about this, only for her to act nonchalant, and uncaring about it. She said there wasn't anything she could do, for me to call CoinStar. NOT TRUE! I did call them, to find out she should have got inside and got all the loose coins NOT IN THE BLACK BOXES, and re feed it thru the feeder! I was told to go back up there to get my money back. I went back, and the Manager(G. M.) "Lee Ann" came walking up with a man named "William". I told her what I was told and she started to call someone. My son standing by this "William" came running up to me and said "Daddy... he said I don't know and I don't care!" I turned to him and said "What? What do you mean... and then I turned to "William" and said what did you say... for him to say, "I told him I Don't Know and Don't care"! He did this in front of the G. M. and when I said are you going to let your employee talk to my child like that? She said. He didnt say that! I said "yes he did, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!" She turned to William and he said. "YEAH I SAID THAT!" She didn't fire him, as she should have on the spot for being blantantly rude to a child inside a Kroger store as an EMPLOYEE and REPRESENTATIVE for Kroger! #BOYCOTTKROGER
**This review is for the new shipping service option Kroger has recently started**
I decided to try out the new shipping service offered by Kroger. I don't have a local Kroger store in my area. I usually have to drive to the next city over to shop there. I do shop at Kroger's regularly.
- The Pros -
* Free Shipping Over $35.00
* On Your First Order You Receive Free Shipping (regardless of your total) plus 15 percent off
* Fast Delivery (I ordered on October 15th and received my items October 17th)
* Convenient
* You don't have to wait in long check out lines
* On arrival, my items were packed very nicely. The best I've seen. There was a cardboard divider separating my canned items from my Popcorn & Chex Mix. Plus the items were wrapped in paper & the heavy cans also had a spongy type netting wrapped around them. I assumed to keep them from being dented.
- The Cons -
* Not a huge amount of products to choose from
* You have to purchase 2 of most items
* Many of the selections had a label on them claiming they were not available. It could just be because this is a new service or it could be something else.
Overall, I will be using the Kroger shipping option again & I would recommend it.
Kroger shows up as stores with different names throughout the western US. Where I live it's Smiths Food and Drug. They have Kroger branded goods and gasoline. Their prices are better than Safeway and Albertsons by far. Meat and produce are good. Gas is usually the lowest in town.
No matter how much or how little I get, the crew here is so great! I could have 30+ items and I wouldn't be waiting long. They bag everything together properly. Example: produce together, paper products together, etc. I love this store! Thanks Kroger!
I recently moved to Batesville, IN and love the local Kroger. The employees I have been in direct contact with have been friendly and helpful. Several department managers have offered to order products I was accustomed to finding in my former city. I am very happy with this store!
The Kroker's I visit is in a long time well developed part of town and surrounded by upper class housing. So, I guess they feel they don't need to keep the old store up anymore. The service sucks, I have to bring a smaller kart in from parking lot or use the big honger for a few items (all the time). And mostly they are up to their old tricks; Sales Price. 77 (very fine print at the bottom "Final cost - when you buy multiples of 5 or more..." if you miss this, then and not watching the register upon check out, that item will cost you $1.79 ea.! Remember the buy 10 for a $1 ea. You only buy 5 and they ring you up at ~$1.99 ea. Because "You had to buy 10 to get the discount". I guess they got tired of returning these item back to the shelf.
Every time now I check out, something is marked wrong or the Kroker discount does not apply. Get home and just a couple of item and they make a couple of extra bucks.
This has become the norm! Watch your register when you check out.
Another "watch out", I have gone through a rash of getting home and missing an item. Guess the check-out is taking that stuff home? Or return to shelf and there's an extra dollar or two!
Let's see who is starts whining when I begin ordering my groceries on-line delivery...
I have not used this on line service yet, yet this online services lets you order on line and they bring it out to your car when you arrive. That helps me I like to browse and take my time this cuts down on long in store lines more shopping baskets available less crowds. They make it convent for the online shoppers and the in store shoppers!
This evening, November 5th, 2016 at about 7pm CST, I tried to cash a United States government check at the Kroger in Rosenberg Texas, *******, Brazos Town Center, and was refused, with no reason or explanation when I asked the Kroger employee.
I went to HEB at 99 and 59 and they cashed it right away for me, when I presented my valid Texas Drivers License.
Previously, I've tried to renew my valid Texas Automobile registration at this Kroger and was refused, again, with no reason or explanation when I asked the Kroger employee.
I went to the Tax Assessors office and they immediately renewed my valid Texas Automobile registration on the spot.
When I asked them why Kroger would refuse to renew my registration they didn't know why and advised me to contact an attorney.
I'm upset that they've wasted my time stopping there for what should have been reliable, simple and straight forward transactions. Instead, I've had to go elsewhere.
You know, I don't generally believe in *prejudice* and racism, but I'm *definitely* going to contact my attorney about this kind of conduct and seemingly regular *discrimination*.
I've stopped going to this Kroger for good now, as I'm pretty sure you can imagine.
Kroger store in paris tn, is nothing like any other kroger i have been in, they have no pharmacy no lil clinic, no senior day like all the others, they do not honor tv adds, they do not honor most kroger friday freebys nor kroger coupons, i have complaind befor to the company, with no results. I reccomend any other store like save-a-lot or iag
From last year 2015 - I'm tracking pricing at Kroger and another loco stores.
On average - pricing in Kroger are (minimum) 30% higher than loco stores.
For example: black pepper McCormick price at Kroger - $ 4.99. Loco store - $ 3.49.
Large ready ribs - Kroger $ 14.99 - loco store $ 9.95.
Tonic water (Canadian Tonic) - Kroger very $ 1.49 / 1.69. Loco store - $. 0.99 / 1.19
Detergent prices - $ 3.00 to $ 4.45 average - are higher compering to loco store.
On $ 100.00 spend in Kroger - you are receiving $ 0.10 off on fuel.
At $ 400.00 spend in Kroger - you got $ 0.40 0ff per gallon up to 35 gallons.
35 x 0.40= $ 14.00
Now - basic math - if you spend $ 400.00 at Kroger - you overpaid minimum 30%.
30% of $ 400.00 = $ 120.00
You spend $ 120.00 more compering to another loco stores.
$ 120.00 - you can purchase at loco gas station - price per gallon $ 2.25... 120 / 2.25= 53.3 gallons.
If you will use Kroger discount $ 400.00 = $ 0.40... $ 2.25 - 0.40=$ 1.85 per gallon x 35 gallons= $ 64.75 ( if you have a big tank).
You can see - 53.3 gallons versus 35 gallons.
Really for me - RIP OFF
I have noticed that They will raise prices on things then put them on sale. I have also found several times the prices on the ticket are not the prices that ring up. Think about how many people miss the differences and the millions that they do rake in just with this price scam alone.
Purchased a bag of several small boxes of raisins in February 2015. Ate about 3 boxes one night, the next day on our way to the zoo we opened one more of the boxes in the bag, poured it into my hand... full of maggots! Reported to Frys Foods (Kroger)... nothing. They keep pushing it off on someone else who again, does nothing! Bottom line... if you want a store who stands behind corporate ethics, this is not the place to patronize!
I'm pleased with Kroger.com for a few reasons.
--Digital Coupons
--Weekly Ad
--Keeping Track of Fuel Points
--Grocery Lists
The Digital Coupons are easy to use and I never have to worry about losing them before I get to the store.
The Weekly Ad allows me to plan ahead for what I want to buy in the upcoming week. Rather than going to the store on Saturday, I'll wait until the next week's ad takes over on Sunday.
Answer: Kroger began cheating people out of money at their self checkouts.
Answer: I tried for 2 hours to get in touch with a human. Chat agent, Yelhen let me sit there and then went AWOL. Called every 800 number I could find...impossible to get past the bots. I called the local store in Livonia,,MI - phone rings, then you get music, phone rings then get music, I was in that loop for 15 minutes. The only way to get ahold of a human is to go to a store, they can't blow you off then. Do not ever start me their over priced products.
