Firstly, Don't attempt any contact with this company as they don't actually provide any contact number. They have an email system which doesn't work. I have been waiting for a email response for over 6 months. They are untrustworthy thieves. I submitted a refund though their refund procedure almost 2 years ago. I am still waiting for confirmation of the refund. After attempting to make contact with KIWI about my refund and finding no success, I have been forced to file a complaint with the department of transport, in the hope that an escalation of service will aid me. I'm worried for future customers that will fall into KIWI's money grabbing trap. I hope that those future customers will also file a complaint and that we can together get this scam of a company shut down.
I booked a ticket with them back in 2020 July. But after cancellation and requested for refund, its been more than 1.5 years that I am waiting for it. Initially they did reply through some restricted messaging service. Now they don't even bother to reply my messages. No number to call them. I don't even want to give them 1 star rating. In fact they deserve no stars. This website shouldn't operate and the people behind it must be prosecuted.
Update - 2nd Jan 2024. Still haven't got any refund or didn't even hear anything from those frauds. Despite of so many bad reviews and bad experience I wonder how those people can maintain and continue business!
Not advisable to buy a ticket, if you encounter any problem or need a change forget about refund or help.
I have had many bad experiences with restaurants, bars, hotels, flights, etc over the years. Those experiences have never pushed me to write a review although I have thought about it plenty of times. Dealing with Kiwi.com has been the most unpleasant customer service experience in my life (33 years old). I just hope that this review will help at least 1 person to not book with them to "try" and save some money. As I am writing this, it has been 1 year after my Kiwi purchase and 9 months after a requested refund (some of my flights were cancelled by the airlines) I have still not received a refund. Please do not do business with this company.
Absolutely horrible. Here is my experience:
- Trip from Fort Lauderdale to Tortola going through San Juan, so 2 flights
- First flight: depart from Fort Lauderdale at 9.57 on 6th September 2020 and arrives at San Juan at 12.42 on 6th September 2020
- Second flight: depart from San Juan at 10.30 on 6th September 2020 and arrive at: Tortola at 11.15 on 6th September 2020
You can see the second flight departs before the first one arrives, so is physically impossible to do (departing at 10.30 while the previous flight arrives at 12.42)
I explained it many times to the support but I didn't get my refund in the end, after more then a year of waiting. But it was clearly an error of the booking system
The trip schedule was originally ok, it changed in a later stage when I already made the payment, but why do I have to loose money for an error of the Kiwi.com booking system!?
This company is worth close to garbage. Figure out your card payment situation before you start your business because it's absolute $#*!. I hope this company sees it's end near, I'll do whatever to save other customers from this bull$#*!.
Just don't do it. Impossible to get through to an actual person, if you need to re-book you have to make sure you're on the correct plan. If you're not you have to book another ticket - obvi don't do it through them. They don't deserve one star, they deserve zero.
I used them and after reading the reviews was scared but all my flights worked according to plan so my word of advice would be only book through Kiwi if you for sure are gonna make your flights. If no refund is needed then kiwi gets you where you need to go on short notice!
I booked my ticket two weeks in advance from London to Rotterdam. All the confirmation where sent by email and on the app. I was flying with BA. I got to the Airport 2 hours ahead as you do, ready to check in only to find out my ticket had been cancelled by BA as they no longer work with Kiwi (as per the manager not a trustworthy company). It was Kiwi responsability to inform em of thsi change. This was real nightmare as I had no idea of the cancellation. I initially paid 150GBP for my ticket, I called Kiwi at the airport; no luck, with no much time left I needed to catch this flight as my daughtrer was already waiting for me in Rotterdam. I had to spent 370GBP to get me there. I called Kiwi nightmare customer services on Monday and this is what I was told
They need to confirm that my ticket was cancelled (even though teh BA website clearly states the ticket was cancelled and a refund was being issued)
They had to conduct an investigation and make sure there was a cancellation!. When I asked how long it will take she said 'I will do my best ' and there was no time scale on how long this will take.
When I requested how long it will take for my money to be refunded they said that the 'possible' refund will take 3-6 months!
Please do not use this company at all! I should have come here before booking
Do not book Here. The site is unreasonable and the there is no customer service no one is willing to help you, they are like leaches they just want to take and take.
They will take your money and if anything goes wrong with the airline or flight, it's gone for good. If you reach out to them for help, they will only offer to scam you again to buy a new ticket and forget the old one.
If you have no problems with your planned flight, okay. However, if there's any need to change details, or in any way deal with a person, it's impossible. It's a dice roll. You might save money, you might lose it all. I've worked with similar companies, and none was a bad as this.

WOW! This is my first booking with Kiwi.con and I just got scammed.
I booked a return flight from Costa Rica to Panama. When I arrived at the airline counter to check in, the airline refused to allow us to board the plane. They informed us that the flights final destination that we were booked on was Colombia. So Copa Airlines told us they do not allow passengers to get of the plane mid destination.
So then I spent two hours talking to the Kiwi.com agents to no avail. They kept going around in circles about documents, requirements, tiny hidden disclosures etc etc etc. The bottom line I had all my documents needed, I fulfilled all my requirements to travel. It was the airline who refused service becuase of their disagreement with Kiwi. Through no fault of ours, kiwi will not refund our tickets.
Kiwi is a total scam!
Improve your customer service. Improve your travel policy, I was unable to travel due to international regulations that changed AFTER I bought my ticket And kiwi did absolutely nothing to help to get the 2k back that I had lost. They said (and this is just laughable) "we can offer you 11.92 cents". Is that a joke? I just spent 2000 and they offered that? The "3rd party insurance " that I purchased on their site was a fraud. I tried calling and looking them up and they are not even a real company. So kiwi is an online scam company not a reliable way to travel I will only tell people to never shop with them.
Dreadful company. I booked a flight for April 2020, that was then cancelled and I am still waiting for a refund, 18 months later. I last requested an update in July and they finally responded October 30th with a generic, copied and pasted message, in which they advised there is no update. To be honest, their behaviour is nothing short of criminal. Avoid this company like the plague!
This is a $#*!ing scam. They managed to $#*! up twice on one flight.
They changed our flights 7 hours before we flew so we had to buy new flights. They didn't offer any compensation or alternative flights. I requested a refund and haven't heard anything. Avoid-absolute $#*!ing $#*!e
This is the worst company ever. Don't book from them, they will still your money as they did to me. Last year I booked not cheap flights through Kiwi.com. The flights have been cancelled, which obviously was not my fault. I've been waiting for the refund for 6 months and nobody answers my messages and my requests. They are scams, not real company. I regret I chose them. Book only if you wanna donate hundreds of dollars to unknown people. Uploaded the image, so you can see I'm a real person with my real nightmare experience. Btw, the refund was requested 2 months prior the flight. It was not me who cancelled the trip. They have been silent for 6 months.
They offer no refund and treat you like $#*!. There are no refunds even if u had a flex ticket and canceled early

Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.

Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.

Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.

Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
