Beware of KIWI and avoid this agency when booking international ticket.

By dafailt they say there are baggage allowance for checked bags, even though the airlines has a checked bag allowance. This way, they can sell checked bag for $75 and they clearly mention that the baggage fee is non refundable, so that they can defend when you realize that the airlines has checked bags. By default at there is one checked by for international ticket, unless it is low budget airlines. Selling cheaper ticket with no frills.

If possible, avoid this agency..

I purchased a LDN to NY ticket for my son. He received a confirmation email a day before the trip but once he showed up at the airport he was told by the airline that the trip had been cancelled and that he didn't have a seat on the plane! He had to purchase another ticket on the spot at double the price to get on the plane. This happened August 2nd 2022 we are September 30th 2022 and are still waiting for a refund in spite of numerous emails and phone calls. Total rip off!

Complete scam
September 30, 2022

This company is a complete scam, never use them. I booked through them a flight for a specific time and after a few weeks they rescheduled to a flight time that I would never have booked if I had known before. This was Kiwi.com system's fault and not because of a change in the airline's schedule, as the airline was not listing on its website a flight for the time listed on Kiwi.com since before I booked through Kiwi.com. Even after spending hours on the phone and explaining the situation thoroughly Kiwi.com has denied any responsibility and is not giving me a refund, I am never going to use them again.

Flat tire

Missed a flight due to an unforseen event such as a flat tire. They pretty much told me sorry better luck next time. Very unprofessional take ur money elsewhere

Complete Scam

They took my money and then canceled the flight just eight hours before I supposed to depart. I spent an hour on the phone to customer service and they were extremely unhelpful and rude. I can't even believe that it's legal, they literally took my money and didn't even give me a flight.

Never use KIWI.com

I literally just booked a flight on kiwi.com and a few minutes later I realized that I had booked it for the wrong day. (Should have been one day before). So I called up thinking no problem as it hasn't been 24 hours. I simply needed to change the flight for one day earlier and would gladly pay a fee. I call customer service and they tell me I can go into my dashboard and make the change but will have to pay for the new flight. THIS IS HILARIOUS because they call it a change BUT it's just me booking another flight. DUH! How the is this acceptable? Anyways I want to be sure I could leave a review somewhere people can see it. Please be advised. This is an untrustworthy company.

Kiwi cancelled our booking without informing us

I was due to travel from Manchester, UK to New York JFK and booked flights through Kiwi, to fly with Virgin Atlantic. We arrived at the airport 3 hours before travelling to check-in, arrived at the desk and was advised they couldn't find our booking. After speaking to another Virgin Atlantic representative, I was informed that Kiwi had cancelled our booking with Virgin and that we would need to pay for more flights to be able to travel. The Virgin representative highlighted that Kiwi should have been the ones to inform us of this, but of course we had no such correspondence.

I contacted Kiwi when we returned home from the airport as unfortunately there were no seats left on our flight, or any other available flights the same day. After explaining the situation over the phone to a representative from Kiwi, he stated I should have been on board the plane at the time of my phone call and asked why I had "missed my flight". After re-explaining that I had not missed my flight, but Kiwi had cancelled our booking without our instruction or without notifying us, he advised he would need to contact Virgin and would get back to me via email. I later received an email offering me a refund of €10 for "voluntary cancellation" - note that we pain in excess of £1300 for our original flights. I have tried to contact someone from Kiwi using their online messaging service but I am yet to hear back.

I searched for my original flights through Skyscanner which took me to the Kiwi website. Only after booking did I see some of the reviews but hoped that, because we were travelling to New York for a wedding and would therefore be unlikely to cancel, we should be okay. But no. Please do not book through Kiwi.com, they cannot be trusted and are not worth the stress. Judging by the reviews, I'm not convinced we'll get a refund anytime soon, if at all.

Shocking

DONT BOOK KIWI EVER NEVER EVER UNLESS YOU WANT MISERY AND NIGHTMARES

To all people reading this, especially younger ones: ( it's experience talking)

NEVER EVER BOOK TRAVEL AGENT, go with air companies Directly. It's a golden rules.
I lost so much money with them

I booked a flight with Kiwi
Istanbul - Milan - Marrakech

2 hours transit in Milan ( with pick up luggage, immi and check in again)

5 weeks before:
I told them it's impossible, TRANSIT Won't WORK: too short!
They said yes it will work
I said no: give me another flight and they reply it was not possible because more than enough time to transit in Milan

The D day, I ran, rush and of course missed my flight
I had to spend 24 hours at the airport ( no hotel)
Huge stress, lost a lot of money
Horrible experience

They basically sell something not doable!
It's a huge risk and they don't care
They won't give me a refund, so I will contact customer protection

It's ridiculous

I strictly remember booking one flight and one flight only. However, when I checked my activity on my credit card I saw that I was charged twice for the same booking. When I asked them about the booking number for the old booking, they told me that my current booking number is my new booking number and vice versa, but nowhere do I see a booking number referencing for the amount that I am disputing.

When I called and asked they keep stating the same thing over and over and over again. POLICY POLICY POLICY. I am sick of dealing with these pathetic companies that are in place just to loot their customers of their money and that too when questioned, the term "Policy" comes into place.

If you're looking for a company that respects your business, keep moving because this company only cares for your wallet and not you as a valuable customer, much less a person even. I was treated with rudeness with which I had to respond in kind.

KIWI stands for Keep Income Without Integrity!

Very bad

Never buy a ticket from Kiwi. Com I bought for my family and 1 hour before the trip they said that we can't do the flight. And they didn't give me back the money how they promise. Never never again.

Never received a refund for Covid cancellation

I booked a flight to Europe last year and it was canceled within one month due to the airlines canceling all direct flights. Kiwi has deemed that non refundable, and after a year of waiting for a resolution I have received nothing back.

Worst website on the scene. After 10 months I did not receive refund. But they deleted my account and trip details so I will never get the refund. Daylight robbery! They did not respond to queries and they are always anonymous. There is no option to give negative stars which they deserve. Their behaviour is more like scammers.

Kiwi.Com is a SCAM

Kiwi.Com has to absolutely be one of the worst third-party airline companies I have ever interacted with. I purchased three tickets with them the night before and then I realized that I would be coming back a day later than I scheduled it for. I also realized that I would be on a layover for 7 hours in a country and would need to have a visa. When I saw this, I contacted them that same night if I could cancel my flights and be issued a refund. They said that because they already contacted all of the airline companies, I would not be issued a full refund, only $10 in Kiwi Cash. The next morning, I contacted each of the airlines, only for them to tell me that a) they did not receive a confirmation from Kiwi.Com b) that I should be eligible for a refund, or c) to reach out to Kiwi.Com for a refund. I continuously called Kiwi.Com for a full refund and told them the responses from the other airlines but they told me unfortunately I am not eligible for a refund. Mind you, I have spent nearly $4,500 on these tickets and I am currently a graduate student who already spends nearly $30,000-$40,000 in tuition. $4,500 is money that I do not take lightly. I did end up canceling the tickets and they said that because I voluntarily did so, they could take my funds. I just do not understand, why it is necessary for you to take my money? I am not boarding this flight, I contacted you within 24 hours, and all of the airlines could care less or even want me to get a refund. You are just taking my money for no reason. This company is a complete SCAM. I do wish I could go back in time and read all the reviews from Kiwi.Com here and on Facebook before I made this painful decision. Now here I am, fighting to get back my $4,151 with $10 of Kiwi cash sitting on my account. If you guys think I am letting this go, rest assured I will contact everywhere from my bank to the Department of Transportation to anyone who has ears in order to get my money back. I will not stop until I get my money back as I have worked hard to earn it. To anyone reading this, for the love of God, please do not go through this pain and get tickets from Kiwi.Com. Even if you have to pay more from a more well-known company it is worth it. It pains me that I could get a refund if I am dissatisfied with a food company, but I could not do that with a "legitimate" airline company. To all of those who had their money taken by this company, I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart and I pray that everything you lost is returned in a better form. To Kiwi.Com, you are a terrible company. I have never received such disingenuous customer service and I am very unfortunate that I have ever been associated with you. I will get my money by God's grace.

They have the WORST refund/change policy ever. Airline rescheduled my flight with a 5 hr time difference that wasn't going to work for me. Talked to the Kiwi reps and my only option was to BUY a new flight (with a lousy $10 discount) because they only consider it a "major" change if it's a 24 hr change. I went directly to the airline website and, using the confirmation #, was able to rebook an earlier flight through them at no extra charge. Kiwi is a joke.

It's been over 3 years that Kiwi hasn't been able to process my refund. If you look on any social media platform, Kiwi is consistently mentioned as one of the worst companies to book a flight from. What a terrible reputation, I wish I had researched other peoples experiences with Kiwi before I bought my ticket.

Extremely slow refund!

Part of my trip was canceled. They asked if I would like to cancel or choose their suggested alternative trips. The alternate was way more expensive so I canceled. That was way back in July. It is now September but I still have to receive my refund! The trip was for 6 people in Europe.

Scam site

The help desk personnel did nothing to answer my questions, or resolve my issue. I will no longer use this company to purchase my airline tickets. The agent wasn't very knowledgeable on company policies. With the question that I asked it would have been more beneficial if someone above the agent intervened. Overall horrible experience contacting customer service, complete waste of time.

Also this company does not offer refunds, it is a complete scam! Even top airlines allow refunds within 24hrs of purchase. I found a cheaper flight on the actual airline site, and asked for a price match. Kiwi agent responded with a copied and paste message about their refund policy. Total scam site DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE
