Gives only a non specific error message AT THE VERY END. 5 calls to their customer service led to being told anything from using the wrong browser to perhaps its the credit card. WRONG! Turned out both the wall oven AND dishwasher I was attempting to order were both out of stock, according to the fifth customer service rep I spoke with that actually had a clue, but had to do some definite digging to find this info (seriously!) 6 HOURS WASTED (yes, I get determined when wanting something).

MESSAGE TO KITCHENAID: Make your I.T. Dept aware that a general error message is UNACCEPTABLE if out stock, and provide the ACTUAL REASON ones order isn't processing so THEY CAN FIX IT, instead of wasting your customers valuable time.

If I didn't need a certain color scheme (black stainless w/ stainless accents) I would have written this company off early on. This only makes potential customers resent this company, killing future sales without a doubt.

I bought a heavy duty stand mixer a week ago because I make bread. The machine was flimsy and cheap looking. I used it once and it got hot after 10 minutes of making a bread dough on speed 2! Which is the highest speed recommended by the company. U have to rest it every 10 minutes apparently. The machine also moved around a lot! I immediately contacted them. I had to chase after them for a week to get a refund. I have to phone them every day to find out what is happening. As it stands today they still have not approved my refund. It's like pulling teeth dealing with this company. They keep asking me what kind of dough I was mixing and how fast the machine was. And wouldn't I like to try one of the other types. No! DO NOT BUY FROM KITCHENAID DIRECTLY. Their after sale service is non-existent. And the product is terrible. I'm sad because I trusted the brand before this the "ultra power" was the best machine ever. Now that Whirlpool owns the brand - it's just a piece of expensive rubbish.

All new appliances
May 30, 2023

Bought all new kitchen appliances. Had to order took 2 months to get. Very first time i used smooth top induction cooktop it blew two burners. Took probably 2 months to get new board. Worker probably two new blew board again. Another two months down. The day they finally got cooktop to work refrigerator went out. Been without an refrigerator for 6 weeks. I would never buy another Kitchen Aid. Only way they would give-me a new one was if it was deemed unrepairable. Didn't matter i was without cooktop for months and still with refrigerator. Not a happy customer. Fortunately I paid big price fir extended warranty. Would not recommend. Customer repair won't even return cslls now

Kitchenaid sucks
May 26, 2023

Kitchenaid sucks!
The motor on my 6 year old dishwasher burned out. Had a repair man come out. He determined it was the motor and informed me that was a frequent problem with kitchen and their brands. It's a manufacturer's problem and Kitchenaid should replace it. Haha! The did nothing, but offered a 15% discount on a new dishwasher. Thats a joke. 15% would barely pay the tax. It's a $1000 dishwasher.
DON'T BUY KITCHENAID OR ANY OF THEIR BRANDS. You'll get no help. And by the way, the motor is made in china.

I wanted to buy an accessory for my kitchen aid professional mixer.
For starters, their web page doesn't help you at all finding the correct accessory for each mixer, so I asked for help and they kindly sent me "the correct accessory" according to them.
When I received it, it wasn't the correct one, it was too small for my mixer. I sent them an email explaining everything and they said that I had to pay so they could collect the package, send it back and send me the correct one! EVEN THOUGH THEY WHERE THE ONES THAT MADE THE MISTAKE I HAD TO PAY! But I had no other option.
After 2 months, they finally collected the package.
Now, a month later, haven't received the correct one.
They don't reply to my emails, I have to keep calling.
It has been very frustrating the whole process, after I get the right accessory or my money back. I will definitely never buy from them again.

NEVER AGAIN --
May 11, 2023

Kitchen Aid Refrigerator terrible - had to be replaced in less than 3 years because freezer seal failed and failed again causing constant ice buildup. Kitchen Aid convection oven 2 years old and oven just stopped working. Now requires a $700 fix. Based on previous refrigerator "fix" I am not expecting anything good will come of this repair. Will start saving now to no doubt replace another terrible Kitchen Aid appliance. I will NEVER waste my money on KitchenAid again and would never recommend it to anyone else.

I have an order number and noticed they stopped sending me messages that they would notify me when order is sent. I looked up my order number on their website and it says ORDER CANCELED. What the hell? Never buy Kitchenaid products. Steer clear of their deception.

Cracked Glass Cooktop
March 30, 2023

Bought a Kitcheaid double oven range with an induction glass cooktop in Feb. 2021 from Mullets Appliance in Sarasota, FL. Within the first year the cooktop cracked. Mullets replaced the glass cooktop under warranty. Within a year, the replacement cooktop also cracked. I called Mullet's again and was first told it was under warranty. The day before it was to be installed under warranty they called to say they made a mistake and it wasn't under warranty after all and I was on the hook for $680.00. They said that had I called 3 days earlier it would have been covered. They told me there was nothing they could do about it and that I should call Whirlpool/Kitchenaid and that they would probably help me. Wrong! So, the person that I talked to at Kitchenaid couldn't be bothered. Totally disinterested and didn't care. She gave me some baloney about how they don't warranty parts and that it was up to Mullet's. Passing the buck back and forth. Needless to say, I am very upset with both companies and have no intention of buying their products or ever doing business with them again. Two cracked cooktops in 2 years is not normal. Something is wrong with the product and Kitchenaid should stand behind it! So, the customer foots the bill for faulty products and service.

Whirlpool goes around acquiring brands that have excellent reputations but is unable to maintain the quality of these products. It appears from Whirlpool's portfolio of brands that the company invests heavily in purchasing well-known companies with excellent reputations. The company would be best advised to invest in their engineering and manufacturing divisions as well.

This is the second Whirlpool owned brand that I've experienced problems with. It is a wall-mounted KitchenAid oven. Whoever decided to place the model and serial number in the corner in it's present position must have thought that the purchasers of this unit would be a contortionist! Had to take a pic of the label to be able to read it!

Still trying to figure out how to turn off Demo Mode. Not sure how this got turned on when all I was trying to change the clock's time since it did not automatically change over to daylight savings time.

Get actual customers to test out your equipment before putting them on the market!

First the good news then the horrible news. Purchased a KRFF507HPS Refrigerator in December of 2021. Very nice design and seemingly good construction. In 2023 (approx. 50 days after the warranty expiration) the ice maker died. Called the local authorized Kitchenaid repair company and they ordered the part for the repair

45 days later still no part. Called Kitchenaid to find out when I might expect the part. The part is "back ordered". When might I expect it? We have no idea.

So, Kitchenaid is selling new Refrigerators with this exact ice maker every day. Apparently management has prioritized selling new units over servicing existing customers.

I have no confidence that any new failures will be repaired in a reasonable amount of time.

I will find it difficult to purchase any new Whirlpool/Kitchenaid product going forward OR recommending their products to friends.

I bought a brand new dishwasher that didn't work immediately after it was installed in November. It is now March and I have had a technician come to my house 6 times replacing parts and none of it has worked. They refuse to replace my dishwasher. This is the worse customer experience I have had in my entire life. DO NOT EVER consider buying this brand of you want to avoid this. I'm taking KitchenAid/Whirlpool to small claims court

We bought 4 appliances 4 years ago and are replacing them all. Each have needed service calls. Year one, the wheels on the upper rack of the dishwasher broke, the rack fell right off, sideways in a cycle. It required 5 appointments and wasn't covered by warranty. The service guy put a screw right through the kitchen island, damaging the wood. It was not fixed and we were not compensated for it. The ice maker stopped working within 3 years. Service man replaced it at our cost. New one didn't work either. Serviceman came back and further inspection showed broken copper wiring in the door. We could buy a new door at $1400! NOT! The convection option in the oven quit working in year 2. Of course it wasn't warrantied. It's gas and sold as 'self cleaning'. What it actually has is 'Aqua Clean', which is a joke. You put a pan of water in the over and it heats to 200F. Nothing burns off of course. The Microwave quit working and required 2 service calls. Apparently it keeps blowing a fuse? Our previous appliances were 14 years old, we just wanted to upgrade, but it's been a total downgrade. DO NOT waste your money!

KitchenAid does not stand behind its product. They give you the runaround on the phone. They want to charge you $150 to come out and tell you that your item is defective. We have a combo oven microwave since we got it the microwave never works without slamming the door many times. The meat probe never worked. The oven doesn't maintain temperature. There are drip stains between the glass which mean it's not properly sealed. This is the 2nd oven the first had same issues and they replaced it in the first 2 months. Now they are giving us a hassle. These are clearly manufacturers defects. The appliance is just 2 years old. And yes we should have called earlier but they do have a 5-10yr warranty on parts. DO NOT buy KITCHENAIDE!
They sold out to whirlpool. Product is no longer made in America. It is a very poor engineered product. This is our fifth KitchenAid product and it will be our last.

I was excited to upgrade to the 7-quart professional level mixer. I was making more breads and double batches of cookies. My mother's KitchenAid had always been a staple in her kitchen: sturdily immobile and standing the test of decades of time. My new, pretty, brushed aluminum KitchenAid was a sour disappointment. My first go at bread it whining loudly and rocking on the counter like a baby in it's crib, it was so light. The flange that catches the bowl to keep it relatively stationary needs to constantly be tightened and i'm afraid to leave the room when it's kneading dough...unsure of what might happen.
I'm upgrading to a Breville. As part of the supply chain in manufacturing for the last 30 years, I'm well aware they want you to buy it again in 5 years. So short-sighted as I will not buy KitchenAid again...on anything.

I ordered a bowl mixer and found out that it had lead in some of the accessories so I immediately called customer service to cancel the order - on hold for 45 minutes. I was told the order would be canceled but 2 days later the charge appeared on my credit card. Called them again to resolve this (waited 55 minutes this time) and was told they would check into it. Never heard back. I also tried online chat several times but that was never operational, only providing a generic "chat is offline" message. The item finally arrived a week late so I called a third time (on hold over an hour) and was told that a pre-printed label from FedEx would be emailed to me in 1-3 days. I have no idea why printing a label would take three days, Amazon, for example, does it within a couple hours. After 5 days the label was still not sent. It was a weekend and I could not contact them because Customer Service is available only Mon-Fri from 8 am – 8 pm. I then called a second time for the label, 5th call overall. Turned out they had the wrong email (which was nowhere close to my email so I have no idea where it came from). I gave them the correct email. After 4 more business days, I still did not have the mailing label so I called yet again and they had recorded my email address incorrectly...AGAIN (they transcribed it as dot com rather than dot net). Finally, after 3 1/2 weeks of this nonsense, I apparently got a competent service agent as I received the mailing label a day later (hip hip hooray! With sarcasm). FedEx communicated with me via text in a timely manner that the return was delivered in 1 day (kudos to FedEx, seriously). KitchenAid has no online avenue to track the return processing and refund now that it is back at their warehouse so I had to call again to get status. They told me it will take 5-10 days to process the return and another 5-10 days to post the refund to my credit card. It has now been more than a month since my credit card was charged. If I had not made my latest credit card payment, I would have been charged interest for this product even though I no longer have it and it is sitting in their warehouse. This is the worst online buying experience I have ever had and I buy a lot online. Terrible, awful, and completely frustrating ("churlish and insubordinate"). Products are good (if they don't contain lead) but I will never buy directly from KitchenAid again!

We sent back the defective device plus the lid purchased separately to no avail, since it was not specified that the mixer purchased was already equipped with a lid.
They only refunded the lid sum.
We are still waiting for the remaining sum, paid for the POOR quality made in India mixer.

Same as Kasia's review. We ordered July 2021 from Canadian Appliance Store CAS. Customer service gave up and no updates are given unless I call. Not sure how or why any store can advertise the microwave/oven for sale when they have no idea of
A delivery date or even if the product will ever be manufactured. They seem to be able to sell and deliver the same product in the States. I believe this is fraud and misrepresentation by most of these stores. Coming up to 2 years! Please don't buy this product as you may never get it. These stores should absolutely not be advertising this product for sale.

KitchenAid won't honor warranty for known issue
February 2, 2023

We bought a top of the line KitchenAid range in March of 2020. The cast grates on the stove top have broke several times. Kitchen replaced the first 4 (2 burners x 2) and assured us, while it was under warranty, that they would continue to cover this issue. Here we are, less than 3 years old and another one has broken. KitchenAid is refusing to honor their warranty and say this is not a known issue and that there are no recalls for this item. A quick google search tells us that, this is indeed, a known issue. Everyone seems to being getting the same lousy service from KitchenAid, so I guess you could say they are consistent. This was a top of the line range, commercial style that was over $4000 and they seem to think that us replacing the grates every year is acceptable.
