Defective range

Burner on range is not igniting properly, gas buildup in oven causing delayed ignition and a loud boom. They sent an appliance guy out within the first year, who did not fix the problem, now it's got worse and kitchen aid wants to charge me for their defective appliance. They don't stand by their product. Terrible customer service. Never again Kitchenaid!

Returned a mixer and called customer service to check status of refund. 1st time I got a rep after 15 min on hold. She said it was processed and that the refund credit should be on my card that day or the next. A week later, still no refund. Called Monday, 45 min hold...no answer. Called Tuesday...42 min hold...no answer. Called again to large appliance number and told them of what had transpired. The rep said he would transfer me to someone who can help and damn it...he transfered me back to small appliance number. Held on for 35 min and no answer. Called the large appliance number and 20 min later someone finally answered. Told her what happened and she said there was nothing they could do there. I told her I wanted a supervisor and she said ok and transferred me to...small appliance. I waited 20+ mins before i hung up and called my financial institution and filed a dispute. They must have cracked the whip because the very next day, Kitchenaid sent me the refund. Their customer service is trash. Never in 63 years have I ever been subjected to this torture. I will never buy their products again or recommend them to anyone not because they make bad merchandise, but because their customer service is 2nd to none which means it is one tick above not having any. Steer clear or grow old on hold...

Bought a stand mixer from then and ended up returning the item. Has been over a month and still have not got my refund! Can't get in touch with nobody there they will not answer the phone. I have been on hold for over an hour.

There was an issue with the name on the credit card and the name on the order. This caused my order to be flagged. I called the company to deal with the issue, but they would not allow me to speak to the managers and to fix the problem. My order has been pending for over a month and has yet to be cancelled or fulfilled. Very difficult to talk with their customer service to resolve the issue.

My oven microwave combination has broken multiple times (I've lost count). Kitchen Aid even replaced it after it kept breaking. Now 1 1/2 years later the replacement has broken multiple times. It broke in October I have had 4 visits by a technician and now through the first week of January and it's still broken and Kitchen Aid refuses to replace. A part inside had burned and there is a concern it could cause a fire still nothing from KA.
My new KA refrigerator was broken during the summer in 2020 for 6 weeks. Also the ice maker has broken and the seal on the door is coming apart.
My gas cooktop had incorrect specs causing the granite to be cut wrong.
My KA dishwasher never stops running (I have to set a timer on my watch at one hour intervals) to stop it.
I will never buy another Kitchen Aid appliance.

Our KitchenAid refrigerator cost more than $3,000 In 2018. Lasted 3 years before the problems started… kept shutting off, freezer frosting up. Customer service was a joke. Will never buy another KitchenAid product.

Dishwasher

We bought a kitchen aid dishwasher 2 years ago and literally the entire top rack has fallen apart. We have bought replacement parts several times and those broke in the same spots. We contacted kitchenaid about the problem and were told we would have to repair on our own. There is no way in 2 years a dishwasher should fall apart like this. I have never seen anything like this before. Why there is not a recall on these is beyond me. We've had to zip tie the top shelf just to get it to stay on till we can replace with a different brand completely. Never again will I buy a kitchenaid product.

Microwave oven mount

The worst ever customer service, the worst ever technician. After 1 year I paid $ 6000 for that, the microwave doesn't work and shows error. It is 3 months that a technician cone and go every week and at last he said: sorry it is not fixible! Now I called the company and they say we can give you another one with 30% off! Really? Am I idiet to pay for Kitchen Aid again? The lady who was talking to me was so rud and I really got mad. Don't buy this product. No customer service, no professional technician, no replacement. Nothing

Just used less than 8 years, the frig control board got problem. For an expensive appliance like frigirator it should last tens of years with no major problem. It seems not the case with Kitchenaid brand. Better stay away from it.

Wife has wanted a kitchenaid stand mixer forever. Ordered her one for Xmas. After you order they tell you it's out of stock, and give you a shipment expectation date. This date comes and goes. The "live chat" isn't live, it's a robo-person that only understands like 5 questions. You cannot get a live human. Calling customer service is the quintessential experience. This morning I tried at 8am sharp and they were STILL "experiencing higher than normal call volume". After 30 minutes, I hung up- that was try number four to get any information on an order I placed a month ago. As I click around the website I realize they want me to buy an extended warranty, otherwise after 30 days this $500 mixer is useless, and could you imagine needing assistance from KitchenAid? They literally are unreachable. So I look online and see all the horror stories. I went ahead and cancelled my order and will spend my $500 on something of quality. So glad I learned how this has-been company operates before it was too late.

Zero Stars (system forced me to give one)

On Christmas Day 2021 our KitchenAid walloven died while cooking a turkey. On January 27 we placed an order with 50% down to a local furniture distributor, with a shipping date of August 9. On August 10 the shipping date changed to December 9. Today December 3 the shipping date changed to April 11 2023. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY CONTINUE TAKING ORDERS WHILE BEING UNABLE TO FULFILL EXISTING ORDERS, IN OUR OPINION THIS IS FRAUDULENT AND BORDERLINE CRIMINAL, COVID IS NO LONGER AN EXCUSE.

Don't bother

My KitchenAid dishwasher is the most expensive one I ever owned. It's also the one I had the most issues with. First there was a recall, and they had to come out and replace the heating element.
Then, I believe it was just about the time the warranty expired, the pump gave out. I actually had issues on and off with it before that….my bad for not getting it fixed sooner.
I thought I would ask them if they could see their way to covering PART of the cost. Not all of it, just part.
I had e-mail conversations with Jennifer at customer service. First they offered me 40% off a new appliance. With conditions of course. I replied I don't want a new one… just want mine fixed.
She replied that, because of the age of the DW, they couldn't do anything. So apparently they consider >4 years to be "old". Amazing, since my less expensive ones lasted 10+ years without issues.
So I will spend the $500 on repairs, since the 2 major parts (pump and heating element) have been replaced. But I will never purchase their products again.

Dummies at kitchenaid

Went to buy a kitchen aid mixer with all the accessories about a month ago never seen the product they never went ahead and charge the card we called and they said our cat was flagged I don't know why the h*** I was flagged what is it explosive let me tell you something yeah I wasn't gonna beat the president with the beaters what tell me it's unbelievable the stupidity at this company is unreal if you have a chance to buy a mixer from another company it does the same $#*! do it screw kitchen aid.

$300 paper weight

Bought a mixer for my mom's birthday, as she always thought highly of the brand and wanted one. Worked long enough to mix a cake and then nothing. Box cake- not mixing cement here. Customer service is only for those who want to elevate their blood pressure without the cardio. Shout out to Sherry for her Monday Morning Quarterback commentary. Amazon checked out as soon as I paid the tab. Next time will go with Sunbeam or will buy at Costco, where they care about customers.

Don't waste your money buying the 5 door refrigerator from kitchenaid. We had nothing but issues from day one. The tech came twice in two years to fix the ice maker and freezer and after 4 years it's completely dead. This is our second 5 doors model and nothing but disaster. They customer service is so poor.

I have a kitchen aid range and dishwasher. We were recommended the brand as a "higher end option" for appliances - I understand that sometimes you can get a lemon, but both have been continuously riddled with poor performance and issues.
The dishwasher has never worked properly; it actually seems to make dishes dirtier somehow even when they're fully handwashed beforehand. It regularly won't even dissolve the detergent after an entire cycle. We finally had someone take a look at it and they said the motor for the unit just isn't big enough which is just causing it to weakly circulate warm water.
Next item - the range. In 3 years all on separate occasions the entire front electrical board blew out, then the top interior burner blew, then the bottom burner blew which also somehow managed to crack and blow out the back electric board. 3 years old! If I paid for this last repair I will have paid repair costs equal to or in excess of the original cost of the range.
I called kitchenaid to explain at least the issue with the range and was told they're man manufactured items so things can happen. I said "is it normal for a brand new $2600 range to last 3 years?" And the rep said "sometimes it's just luck". They offered a "good faith" discount of 15% off a new unit - how generous!
Congrats kitchenaid - not only will I never buy your product again, but I will go out of my way to tell anyone that will listen how brutal the experience has been.
Both appliances are now in the garbage where they should have been in the first place.

They simply do not care about their customers and do not stand behind their products. I have the most expensive kitchen aid refrigerator and it broke after 2 years. In over 3 months kitchen aid has been unable to repair or replace the refrigerator despite the. Token part being under warranty. Absolutely horrible, terrible customer service. So disappointed and upset I ever purchased kitchen aid

They have the worst customer service I have ever delt with. I've been trying for days to talk to someone. They leave you on hold for 45 minutes then hang up on you. I don't know how this company is still in business. I bought a vent hood that worked for 3 months. It's not ok to treat customers the way they do. So if your thinking about buys one of their products, I'd think twice. Poor quality and even worse customer service.

Kitchen aid Microwave

Garbage appliances and horrible customer service. Don't buy from them and don't Waste your money and time. We bought a microwave from lions last year and since we bought it light and fan doesn't work. We went to lions and they said it's not there problem and we have to call kitchenaid directly.we called few times until They sent someone to fix it. Twice someone came and every time they told us different story. One time they needed a different part because they ordered wrong one and second time which it took them almost 5 months to come back they said problem is something else and they have to come back because they don't have the right part. We paid almost $700 for this garbage and even customer service doesn't want to listen to us. Horrible experience. Every time I Cooke I have to open all the windows and deal with fire alarm. I will tell all my friends and family that not to buy this garbage brand. Stupid company
