I just realized I have been paying $29 a month for a service I don't even remember agreeing to. I saw it was $5 to ask a question and paid that. To be honest, I had been up all night with a sick dog, so I was slightly delirious at the time and failed to read the fine print.
When I noticed the charge on my account today, 4 months later, I called to ask for it to be reversed. They refuse to refund me stating I was notified of the membership fees. They do not send any reminders that your membership charge is occurring, and customer support is clearly outsourced and offers very little help.
I asked if I could have at least one or two months refunded since I never used this service because I didn't even know I had it. But, they refuse to offer any refunds so I guess my $5 question has now cost me $150. I definitely got hoodwinked.
They could not answer my question so I cancelled my service within minutes, days later I got an incorrect vague answer and was charged anyway. I would stay away from them, there are much more reputable and honorable services.

I got two answers from doctors that seemed like decent answers, but I found both of their pictures for sale on stock photo sites. So I now think they are not real doctors. And there is no other information about the doctors, such as where they practice, what their experience or education is.

Their lawyers give ok general advice, but if you did not realize that this is an on-going charge, each and every month even if you do not use the service - you are in trouble
Expect to get little and to pay a lot for it... Thankfully, my credit card company flagged this, or else I would have been charged for ever for nothing...
Go to a real lawyer - you will be much better off!

I have no memory of ever working with this company, I must not have received the help I was wanting. I always go in and cancel anything like this the min. I get done using it unless its will really work for me, having no memory of this company I know I cancelled. More then 6 months down the road I was going through my PayPal and noticed they had been withdrawing 49 dollars every month when I tried to take to them I kept getting told to sign up and a expert would help me clearly a computer then I was told by chat they would not refund the money they had been withdrawing from my account they just took me for a lot of money and can clearly see I did not use services, they would not even tell me what services I "used"

It's a dollar for the first time. I signed up, and it wasn't what I needed so I immediately canceled my subscription. Maybe 5 minutes had passed from subscription to cancelation. I was still charged almost 40$ for 1 month. No refund. I'm going to go on as many review sites I can tell every one. Bet

You will be charged immediately and they do not issue refunds. It does not matter if you asked only one question. You're paying the whole months fee when they charge the "trial fee"

Just Answer markets itself as an online company connecting interested users to other individuals who can answer questions. Initial answers cost $1 per their marketing material. What is not transparent to the initial user is that when you pay the $1 fee for that first question, you become a member with a $46 monthly membership fee automatically withdrawn from your account. We did ask an initial question but did not read the fine print closely enough to realize we were now "members" and would pay this fee rather we asked another question or not. In a court of law, we would have no "leg to stand on". This is my least favorite kind of marketing because inherent in the way they market their company, there is an apparent intent lack of transparency. I called the company's customer service department and spoke with Carlo re: the ongoing monthly charge to our account. He was well-coached and would just reiterate that this was a legal charge and he was only authorized to cancel the account. This made me think he receives many such calls from people who do not realize they would be incurring the ongoing monthly $46 charge whether they used the service or not. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said one would call me back within 15-30 minutes. I did receive a call back. She was courteous but disinclined to refund any of the monthly charges--just read to me the terms of the contract. I clearly told her that I was on their company website and would be writing a review regarding their business practices. She then agreed to refund two months of payment. I paid the first month's charge. I would have absolutely no trouble with this kind of marketing/selling IF it clearly indicated in the same FONT and SIZE immediately following the $1 dollar come-on charge a statement similar to the following: "When asking your initial question for $1, you will automatically become a member of JustAnswer. You will automatically become a monthly member and we charge your account $46/month whether you use our service or not. You may call at any time to discontinue membership". I gave them a rating of 2 stars because the supervisor refunded me two months worth of charges. Buyer Beware!

I was looking for a refrigerator repairman and a popup stated free trial thru JustAnswer. The popup stated join for a $1.00 to talk to a repairman $1.00 and a $37.00 charge for their monthly membership, which was for a month after that trial period of one month. I did speak to a repair man but his advice did not work. I cancelled before my trial period was over. When I got my statement, I was charged the same time and day of 1.00 and 37.00. I actually read the policy before I check the subscription. It said UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR FREE TRIAL WILL BE CONVERT TO AUTO PAY. The companies reply to all bad reviews is that customers have a choice for membership plans for us to choose from, which I never received just a box to click start your trial offer. The popup was gone after I check the box no information, but order history said I joined with the double payment. There is 2,472 complaints just for 2022 for this company, the complaints go back as far as 2018 just as many or more each year. This is deceptive billing practices. This company keeps receiving compensation of scheming victims out of money. The company has a repetitious reply to all complaints presented as a form letter.
I was searching for answers and this advertisement popped up questions answered $1.00, I knew that could not be possible but I read all the small print and entered my credit card information, the fine print stated I could cancel before my card is charged. Asked my question and this window popped up saying for a phone call $58.00, now I'm thinking wait a minute this could be a scam, finally after 30 minutes or so I get a response from a lawyer, however I have already canceled this membership before I can be charged a fee, Nope I was charged $46.00., I am now wondering why am I being charged? I read the fine print it clearly stated TRIAL PERIOD, what does trial period mean to you? For me it's a trial period, not for this company. Nevertheless I was charged and they refused to refund the payment. Lesson learned.

I felt misled. No connection to a vet as your virtual assistant promised. Told I would be charged $1, but was charged $30 for a membership I never asked for. Took advantage of a dog mom who was worried about her fur baby. When I initially asked for a refund I was told I was ineligible. I had to go to PayPal to demand my refund. I resent the extra steps you made me do and that I had to take it to that point. I haven't demanded a refund on principles more than 2 times in 15 years with PayPal. I got my refund but only because I got angry. I never got an answer as I was promised or connected to a vet. How dare you prey on people under duress. After seeing your reviews, you should change your payment model. I saw after the fact how many others were dissatisfied with your website. I regret ever asking my question. I will continue to warn others of your predatory practices and hope you get shut down. $30 may not be a lot to some, but this was more about the principles. I politely explained I was told I would be charged $1 to be bait and switched to $30 and placed on a membership I never requested!

I got a 'trial membership' which immediately resulted in a monthly charge. The answer was effective and of value so I simply chalked it up to 'oh, well' and canceled. Then, another month was charged, I call customer service, and SURPRISE, no record of my canceling and no refunds. Some of the most predatory marketing I have ever seen! The messaging said the answer would be $1 and renew at $60 monthly. Instead, I was charged $61 immediately. I reached out to their billing department, who were unresposive. I called their customer service department, who said I had agreed to this purchase, that it was valid from their end, and that they would be unable to refund me. By this time I had been charged $60 again. They hung up on me as I was trying to plead my case, which was a first for me. I cannot imagine doing business like this. It appears they've literally structured a business to trick people into making automatic recurring payments, then slap them with their T&Cs. How is this allowed to continue? It honestly makes me want to take them down, but that's probably the legal dramas talking.

This is a scam. I asked a question regarding my snowplower and paid $37. Little did I know that in order to ask the question I had to join a membership with a monthly reoccurring $37 monthly cost. I was billed in March for zero questions. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. YOU WILL CHARGED EXTRA COSTS.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
